The ac magnetic susceptibility of HTS ceramic Tl3Ca7Ba3Cu8O7 is measured by using the bridge method. The critical parameters Tc = 100 K and Hc1 ≈ 15 Oe are estimated at T→0; below 50 K, Hc2 linearly decreases with temperature [Hc2 = 440-8.4T (kOe)], while above 50 K it decreases according to a power law [Hc2 = 275(1 – T/Tc)3.5 (kOe)]. The Ginzburg-Landau parameter is estimated as x(0) ≃ 300, x(Tc) ≈ 8, and x(T) ∝ x0(1 – T/Tc)1.6.

Abstract The advent of machine learning (ML) is revolutionary to numerous scientific disciplines, with a growing number of examples in astronomical spectroscopic inference, as ML is more powerful than traditional techniques. Here we introduce a hybrid ML (HML) method combining automatic differentiation, interpolation, and Bayesian optimization to infer stellar parameters of stellar spectra. We study T eff, log ( g ) , and [Fe/H], but this method could be extended to other parameters such as [α/Fe] (alpha element abundance), C/O (carbon–oxygen ratio), and f sed (sedimentation efficiency). We consider the problem of deleting nodes in a covert network to minimize its performance. The inverse geodesic length (IGL) is a well-known and widely used measure of network performance. It equals the sum of the inverse distances of all pairs of vertices. In the MinIGL problem the input is a graph $G$, a budget $k$, and a target IGL $T$, and the question is whether there exists a subset of vertices $X$ with $|X|=k$, such that the IGL of $G-X$ is at most $T$. In network analysis, the IGL is often used to evaluate how well heuristics perform in strengthening or weakening a network. In this pap
