Abstract:

Traffic oscillations such as stop-and-go waves in a traffic system can occur for a variety of reasons, such as instabilities. This paper describes a study of a type of periodic oscillations caused by network geometry with a microscopic simulation model, Paramics. With careful tuning in Paramics, periodic oscillations in which traffic states change periodically between a diverging junction and a merging junction are successfully simulated. The formation process is discussed in detail. The study suggests that, given an appropriate network structure and traffic conditions, the local oscillations caused by randomness in car-following and lane-changing models in Paramics can be maintained and can become periodic and global. Finally, the consistencies between a macroscopic kinematic wave model and Paramics are discussed, and future research topics and the implications of the findings of the study are presented.

Abstract:

This study investigated the challenges of calibration of the PARAMICS microscopic simulation model for the local traffic conditions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It proposed an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) based calibration protocol for the PARAMICS model. The developed ANFIS model performs adequately in modeling the queue length as a function of two key calibration parameters, namely mean headway time and mean reaction time. The selected values of the calibration parameters obtained through the ANFIS modeling approach were used as the input parameters for the PARAMICS model. The error indices such as mean absolute errors and mean absolute percentage errors of the developed ANFIS model in predicting the queue lengths varied between 1.11 and 1.24, and between 3.44 and 4.06, respectively. The conformance of the PARAMICS output and the measured queue length indicates the validity of the proposed calibration protocol.

Dalam menerbitkan Surat Keterangan pendamping Ijazah (SKPI) di Kampus STMIK PPKIA Pradnya Paramita, dibutuhkan data yang akurat dari mahasiswa, namun mahasiswa seringkali mengumpulkan diakhir masa kuliah mereka (menjelang lulus). Hal ini menyebabkan sekretaris Program Studi menjadi kewalahan. STMIK PPKIA Pradnya Paramita sudah memiliki aplikasi portal mahasiswa yang berfungsi untuk proses KRS, KHS, Jadwal Kuliah, Biodata Mahasiswa dan SKPI. Penggunaan aplikasi portal ini berjalan dengan baik, kecuali bagian SKPI. Didapat data bahwa 100% mahasiswa tidak ada yang mengisi formular SKPI semasa mereka kuliah. Mahasiswa mengisi hanya ketika menjadi syarat penerbitan ijazah. Untuk meningkatkan partisipasi mahasiswa dan ketersediaan data dalam penerbitan SKPI, maka diusulkan pengembangan aplikasi portal mahasiswa yang dapat menarik mahasiswa untuk mengisi data SKPI. Kesukaan orang untuk bermain aplikasi permainan mendorong pengembang aplikasi menerapkan fitur layaknya game dalam aplikasi merekam. Untuk itu perlu ditambahkan fitur seperti poin, level, badges, leaderboard seperti layaknya aplikasi permainan. Pengembangan aplikasi portal mahasiswa ini menggunakan SDCL dengan metode waterfall. Aplikasi yang sudah ada dikembangkan dengan menambah fitur gamifikasi dengan tujuan meningkatkan partisipasi mahasiswa dalam menggunakan aplikasi portal, khususnya untuk melengkapi dan memperbarui prestasi dan keterampilan yang sudah dikuasai.

Abstract:

Pada pembelajaran IPS, siswa masih menggunakan kemampuan mengingat daripada memahami konsep suatu materi serta kurangnya dalam memiliki etika yang baik dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan pengaruh model discovery learning berbasis kearifan lokal catur paramitha terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas V di SD. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Jumlah populasi pada penelitian ini adalah 259 orang. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Data yang di peroleh dinormaliasasikan dengan gain skor kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik inferensial uji t. Diperoleh hasil analisis data yaitu thitung = 3,065 > ttabel = 2,000 untuk taraf signifikansi 5% dan dk = 66. Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian, Ho di tolak dan Ha diterima. Rata-rata gain skor ternormalisasi kompetensi pengetahuan IPS pada kelompok yang dibelajarkan dengan model discovery learning berbasis kearifan lokal catur paramitha adalah 0,517. Sedangkan pada kelompok yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional adalah 0,383. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan alternatif bagi guru dalam pembelajaran IPS agar kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Model discovery learning berbasis kearifan lokal catur paramitha dapat diterapkan oleh guru karena sudah terbukti dapat mempengaruhi hasil kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa menjadi lebih baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model discovery learning berbasis kearifan lokal catur paramitha terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas V di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract:

The identification of performance-optimizing parameter settings is an important part of the development and application of algorithms. We describe an automatic framework for this algorithm configuration problem. More formally, we provide methods for optimizing a target algorithms performance on a given class of problem instances by varying a set of ordinal and/or categorical parameters. We review a family of local-search-based algorithm configuration procedures and present novel techniques for accelerating them by adaptively limiting the time spent for evaluating individual configurations. We describe the results of a comprehensive experimental evaluation of our methods, based on the configuration of prominent complete and incomplete algorithms for SAT. We also present what is, to our knowledge, the first published work on automatically configuring the CPLEX mixed integer programming solver. All the algorithms we considered had default parameter settings that were manually identified with considerable effort. Nevertheless, using our automated algorithm configuration procedures, we achieved substantial and consistent performance improvements.

Abstract:

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbasis kearifan lokal Catur Paramitha terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan matematika siswa kelas IV SD Gugus Yos Sudarso Denpasar Selatan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen semu dengan bentuk desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IV SD Gugus Yos Sudarso Denpasar Selatan sebanyak 278 siswa. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IVA SDN 12 Sanur sebanyak 38 siswa dan kelas IVA SDN 10 Sanur sebanyak 30 siswa. Data hasil kompetensi pengetahuan matematika pada masing-masing kelompok dikumpulkan dengan instrumen tes berbentuk pilihan ganda biasa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh thitung = 2,39643 dan ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% 14(Î±=0,05)"> = 1,99656. Hal ini berarti thitung > ttabel, sehingga dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbasis kearifan lokal Catur Paramitha terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan matematika siswa kelas IV SD. Nilai rata-rata kompetensi pengetahuan matematika kelompok eksperimen adalah 23,342 lebih dari nilai rata-rata kompetensi pengetahuan matematika kelompok kontrol yaitu 21,133. Jadi, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw berbasis kearifan lokal Catur Paramitha berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan matematika kelas IV SD Gugus Yos Sudarso Denpasar Selatan.

Abstract:

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to identify dimensions and indicators of “Catur Paramitha” that improve the performance of SMEs in Sarbagita area. Design/methodology/approach The study used a quantitative and qualitative approach. Glaser and Strauss’s (1967) grounded theory, and Strauss and Corbin (1990) were the bases for the qualitative approach. It also employed a quantitative approach to analyze the difference between the SMEs. The setting comprised of three municipalities in Bali and Denpasar; altogether, these areas are known as “Sarbagita.” Bali is divided into 8 districts, 1 city, and 57 regions. Due to the large number of SMEs in Bali, there is no institution that has been able to identify the exact number of SMEs in “Sarbagita.” Findings There is a significant and positive relationship between “Catur Paramitha” and the performance of SMEs in both East Java and Bali. The finding also describes the performance of the SMEs that apply the principles of “Catur Paramitha” and those that do not. “Catur Paramitha” that consists of “metria,” “karuna,” “upeksa” and “mudita” is a pivotal concept to apply for SME owners/management in order to prevent money from being the only basis for capitalist competition. Local wisdom can control cannibalism, turning it into humanism and friendship-based partnership or cooperation. Originality/value The originality of this research is its methodology, and the fact that the local culture becomes the basis for a successful business venture and organizational performance as the key for a successful business venture. Improved organizational performance is the result of more developed internal resources and competitive advantage. Local culture is a very important element to develop a competitive advantage (Barney and Clark, 2007). Local culture is local wisdom. Studies focusing on the local wisdom theory (Clayton and Birren, 1980; Robinson, 1990; Sternberg, 2000) use qualitative methods. Quantitative method is the approach used to explain the relationship between humanistic values and the performance of the SMEs (competitive advantage) based on statistical analysis. Therefore, the originality of this study is a mixed approach between quantitative and qualitative with interpretive-based approaches.

Company performance is used as an evaluation material for management to determine the level of the company's operating system so that it is necessary to know the factors that affect company performance, one of which is Total Quality Management (TQM). The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence Total Quality Management has on Company Performance at the Paramitha Auto Graha Denpasar car repair shop. Total Quality Management (TQM) is viewed from 5 indicators, namely focus on customers, teamwork, continuous system improvement, education and training and employee empowerment. This research using associative design and taking 80 employees as saturated sample, analyzed by Multiple Linear Regression. The results show, Total Quality Management which consists of focus on customers, teamwork, continuous system improvement, education and training as well as employee empowerment has a positive and significant effect on company performance at Paramitha Auto Graha Denpasar car repair shop. Keywords: Total Quality Management (TQM), Company Performance

Abstract:

The act of child abuse often occurs in children because of low economic actors so that the protection, education, health, and basic needs of a child being neglected. Children who experience, witness and experience abuse directly experience traumatic conditions, where the trauma is in the form of psychological trauma that is embedded in the child’s subconscious. Often children who are victims of violence will have prolonged psychological disorders, for children who are victims will usually form a bad self-image, diffcult to trust other people, experience excessive fear, have no life expectancy, depression, stress and desire - suicidal desire. The strategy of social workers in handling child abuse at the Marsudi Putra Paramita Mataram social institution is to use the casework and group work method. In the casework method social workers carry out counselling as an alternative problem solving and help children who are victims of violence solve their problems through the stages of counselling. Whereas the groovy work method of social workers at the Marsudi Putra Paramita Social Institution in Mataram uses a religious approach as a technique to restore the healthy mentality of children who are victims of violence. In addition to the religious approach, social workers also provide social guidance as a provision for children’s behaviour to be accepted by the community. Social workers with a group approach aim to restore the social and psychological functions of child victims of violence to form groups such as skill groups, discussion groups and skill groups as a way for children to reduce stress and trauma through positive activities.

Metode PIECES yang terdiri dari <em>Performance, Information/data, Economic (ekonomi), Control/security, Efficiency, Service.</em> Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data dan pengembangan sistem. Hasil dari penelitian adalah adanya perbaikan, pengembangan berdasarkan analisis PIECES yang bermanfaat bagi seluruh pihak yang menggunakan SST. Berdasarkan Kuisioner yang dibagikan kepada 100 responden dengan kerangka kerja PIECES Sistem SST pada STMIK Pradnya Paramita Malang adalah baik dengan sebagian besar responden memberikan jawaban baik sebesar 47% dengan nilai 3,52, sedangkan masing-masing aspek yang terdiri dari pertama Aspek <em>Performance</em> (Kinerja) adalah baik dengan nilai 3,48, Kedua, aspek <em>information</em> (informasi) adalah baik dengan nilai 3,64, Ketiga, aspek <em>economic</em> (ekonomi) adalah cukup baik nilainya 3,08, Keempat, aspek <em>control </em>(kontrol) adalah baik dengan nilai 3,64, Kelima, aspek <em>efficiency </em>(Efisiensi) adalah baik dengan nilai 3,55 dan Keenam, aspek <em>services </em>adalah baik dengan nilai 3,69.</p><div> </div>

Abstract:

The Seven Calamities (1773, Cleveland Museum of Art) is an emakimono, or Japanese handscroll, created by Nijo Yana during the Edo Period of Japan depicting seven catastrophes that occurred in Japan throughout time. Buddhist Monk Nichiren used the seven calamities found in ancient sutras to explain the disasters agonizing Japan in his time and to stress the importance of following the Buddhist lifestyle. In order to keep the seven calamities at bay, the kings and rulers of Japan were required to recite and teach ancient sutras including the Prajna-Paramita sutra. As the legend tells it, Tathagata — honorific title of a Buddha — had committed this sutra to the kings and rulers because they had requisite power needed to establish the Law of the sutra, unlike the monks and nuns. Had the sutra not been extensively taught to the populace, the seven calamities would befall upon the land and punish the impudent humans that strayed away from Saddharma — Sanskrit for the Correct Law. In essence, it was up to the kings that Tathagata appointed to ensure order and balance to the lands by reciting the Prajna-Paramita. Each of the calamities were painted on paper with black ink, known as sumi-ink, contain ma, which means negative space, and use minimal color. This paper will dissect the history of the seven disasters of Japan and the reasoning behind their occurrence, analyze the use of Japanese sumi-ink combined with the kara-e Chinese style of art, and will contemplate the artist’s choice of substituting several of the seven original calamities with his or her own rendition and depiction of sequenced actions.

This training was conducted at the STMIK PPKIA Pradnya Paramita (STIMATA) campus in Malang. This training was conducted after STIMATA lecturers received the same training from Google in the form of the "Indonesia Android Kejar (IAK)" program. This training is a form of a study group that is collaborated with society service for STIMATA lecturers. The purpose of this training is to provide knowledge and insight for the community, especially the students of the National Vocational School of Malang about android. This training is also to improve the skills for students of Malang National Vocational School to create an Android-based application. This training is held for two days, Monday-Tuesday January 29-30 2018 at the STMIK PPKIA Pradnya Paramita Malang Computer Laboratory from 08.00 W1B to 16.00 WIB. This training was attended by 29 students of the National Vocational School of Malang. This training uses two applications, namely android studio which is installed on a computer PC to make the program and java program to compile when the participants want to be placed on an Android mobile. The training was given the material in a row view, group views, creating projects, interactive applications, screening and calling methods and the last objected-oriented program. After all training materials are given, the participants are given the task of making a simple application project that can be run on their respective Android phones. To provide an ability assessment, it is assigned to make a project that is more complex and given a month which is then sent to the tutor's e-mail. The final results of the training turned out that all participants were able to receive the material well and were able to spell out the assignment as a substitute for the exam well. Thus this training can run as expected.</em></p><p align="center"><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Abstrak.</strong> Pelatihan android bagi siswa-siwa SMK Nasional Malang merupakan salah satu bentuk pengabdian masyarakat yang merupakan salah satu unsur tri darma perguruan tinggi dan wajib dilaksanakan oleh civitas akademika. Pelatihan ini dilakukan di kampus STMIK PPKIA Pradnya Paramita (STIMATA) Malang. Pelatihan ini dilakukan setelah dosen-dosen STIMATA mendapatkan pelatihan yang sama dari google berupa program “ Indonesia Android Kejar(IAK)”. Pelatihan ini merupakan bentuk study group yang dikolaborasi dengan pengabdian masyarkat untuk dosen-dosen STIMATA. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan wawasan bagi masyarakat, khususnya siswa-siswi SMK Nasional Malang tentang android. Pelatihan ini juga untuk meningkatkan keterampilan bagi siswa-siswi SMK Nasional Malang untuk membuat aplikasi berbasis android. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan selama dua hari yaitu Senin-Selasa tanggal 29-30 Januari 2018 di Laboratorium Komputer STMIK PPKIA Pradnya Paramita Malang dari pukul 08.00 W1B sampai dengan 16.00 WIB. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 29 siswa-siswi SMK Nasional Malang. Pelatihan ini menggunakan dua aplikasi yaitu android studio yang diinstal pada PC komputer untuk membuat programnya dan java untuk mengkompilasi ketika mau dijankan pada handphone android. Pelatihan ini diberikan materi berturut-turut views, views group, membuat project, aplikasi interactif, deffining dan calling methods serta yang terakhir objected oriented program. Setelah semua materi pelatihan diberikan selanjutnya peserta diberikan tugas berupa membuat project applikasi sederhana yang bisa dijalankan di hp android masing-masing. Untuk memberikan penilaian kemampuan ditugaskan membuat project yang lebih komplek dan diberikan waktu satu bulan yang selanjutnya di kirim ke emailnya tutornya. Hasil akhir pelatihan ternyata semua peserta mampu menerima materi dengan baik dan mampu mengejakan tugas sebagai pengganti ujian dengan baik. Dengan demikian pelatihan ini bisa berjalan seperti yang diharapkan.</p>

For positive effect traffic control means imposed on road traffic, collaborative optimization model were established, based on signal timing that can reflect the dynamic relationship between the intersection delay and intersection signal cycle, signal timing each lane including bus lanes, flow change and other parameters, Applying S-Paramics, the model were applied to a typical intersection in Dong Cheng district of Beijing, and regarded average speed and travel time as output. The simulation shows that compared with the single traffic control means, the model can decrease travel time and increase average speed.

M. Apraksin, translated into the modern Kalmyk language and translated into Russian. In many urban areas, high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes have been provided to permit carpools and express buses to bypass congestion and offer a significant travel time advantage to commuters willing to share a ride or take transit. In many locations, however, HOV lanes are incomplete because of difficulties in securing right-of-way or funding. In other locations, because existing HOV lanes are underutilized, express buses are undersubscribed, or both, questions about their value arise. In this research it is shown how a PARAMICS microscopic traffic simulation model can be used to analyze proposed HOV lanes and their effects on express bus operation along an urban freeway corridor. A PARAMICS application is developed for Interstate 580 in the San Francisco Bay Area and used to test alternative ways of providing HOV lanes. The performance of the corridor is evaluated under plausible scenarios of traffic growth. Traffic simulation models are usually used for detailed operations management. The case study shows that traffic simulation can be an effective preliminary planning and scenario testing tool for evaluating the likely performance of an infrastructure or operations improvement on express bus service.

Resumen La presente investigación tiene como propósito en reconstruir el modelo pedagógico subyacente en el proceso de la educación étnica que practica la Mancomunidad Indígena El Paramito, la problemática se presenta en la actual Etnia Timotes, donde paulatinamente se está perdiendo la lengua originaria, su propia cultura, tradiciones, mitologías, costumbres y sus formas de organización mancomunada. El marco teórico se orientó en función de la Educación Intercultural, Yampara (2010) y modelos pedagógicos según Flórez (2008). Metodológicamente se utiliza el paradigma cualitativo, se asume el método etnográfico dado que es el que permite aprehender la manera de como un grupo social se relaciona con los demás, se aplica como técnica de recolección de datos las siguientes: observación directa y entrevista en profundidad. Para dar respuesta a los valores educativos entre los cuales están: aprender haciendo, imitación, respeto y solidaridad, los culturales hallados en la comunidad fueron: superstición, temor a la naturaleza, medicina tradicional, ritual y creencias. Por otro lado, al aplicar las entrevistas, se resaltan las categorías y subcategorías sobre la cultura de la Mancomunidad indígena El Paramito. Además, reformar la forma de educar perteneciente a la etnia como esencia a investigación. Finalmente se concluyó en sensibilizarlos a su empoderamiento de su cultura, formas de vida, idioma, su saber étnico, credos, para defender y proteger sus derechos como grupo originario.

Purpose This study aimed to determine the relationship between the concept of competitive advantage and the value of Catur Paramitha on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Sarbagita. Design/methodology/approach The design of this research used a qualitative approach based on the grounded theory with explorative and phenomenological approaches. Findings The relationship of the concept of competitive advantage orientation and the value of Catur Paramitha on SMEs in Sarbagita forms the characters SMEs’ business actors, namely, first, fair competition without hurting or harming others can be avoided. Second, the emergence of business cooperation with various business characters can form a wise entrepreneurial spirit. Third, making the entrepreneur more professional in managing the business. Fourth, forming a happy attitude to help others, making cooperation. Research limitations/implications The integration of applied values of local wisdom on the concept of competitive advantage orientation in building business in SME sector in Bali as a guideline for managers and lead the business. Originality/value The originality of this research was conceptually, building the concept of competitive advantage with local wisdom in developed countries has done by many. However, the local wisdom in developed countries is very different from the local wisdom in Indonesia, especially in Bali. Not all the main characteristics of the basic concept of cultural values in developed countries are applicable and in accordance with local conditions and cultures in the context of country. In addition, the concept of competitive advantage in developed countries is often assumed to operate in a stable and predictable business environment.

Based on the analyses of the traffic characteristic of urban expressway ramps metering, a hybrid automaton model for expressway ramp metering is set up and switching control methods of hybrid system is proposed using the hybrid automata theory. Compared with fixed-time ramp metering, Alinea control algorithm and fuzzy control algorithm in different traffic flows, and simulated in the Paramics traffic software, the results show that the method of switching control based on hybrid automata theory is more effective than a single control algorithm.

Selama organ bicaranya masih baik, hal ini tidak menutup kemungkinan seorang tunarungu dapat berbicara. Siswa tunarungu terkadang dapat menyebutkan identitas dirinya, namun pengucapan konsonan yang tidak terdengar jelas dan hampir hilang. Kemampuan bicara tunarungu sering terjadi kesalahan yang muncul akibat dari terganggunya pernapasan yang sering tidak digunakan dalam berbicara sehingga menjadi kaku. Perlu adanya latihan pernapasan sebelum melakukan tahap lanjutan bicara anak tunarungu yaitu latihan meniup secara letupan dengan menggunakan media bola pingpong. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengucapan konsonan bilabial /b/ melalui latihan meniup bola pingpong. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, dengan pola Single Subject Research (SSR) desain A-B-A. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari tes perbuatan dan dokumentasi yang divisualisasikan melalui grafik garis.
