Abstract:

The paper presents data of around 4000 previously unpublished specimens, collected in various parts of the country during the last decades. With literature sources, a total of 86 species of the genus Hylaeus Fabricius, 1793 from 10 subgenera are compiled for Turkey. Abstract:

Cavity-nesting bees, such as members of the genus Hylaeus Fabricius (Hymenoptera: Colletidae), are prone to accidental introductions by human-mediated transportation. The first records of Hylaeus (Paraprosopis) pictipes Nylander, 1852 in North America are reported. Hylaeus pictipes is a European species newly discovered from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; Meadville, Pennsylvania, USA; and Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Notes on its identification and a discussion of exotic bees in North America are provided.

Abstract:

An annotated list of seven species of the genus Hylaeus Fabricius, 1793 collected in the Fars Province of Iran is presented. Two species, H. (Paraprosopis) gujaraticus Nurse, 1903 and H. (P.) taeniolatus Förster, 1871 are new additions to the Iranian bee fauna. Furthermore, five species are new records for the Fars Province. With the current additions, the total number of Hylaeus recorded from the Fars Province and Iran is now increased to 17 and 66 species, respectively.

Abstract:

Mit dem Auffinden bisher unbekannter Arten aus höheren Gebirgslagen Griechenlands und Spaniens bot sich der Anlaß, die gesamte Hylaeus-nivalis-Gruppe in Europa zu revidieren. Drei neue Arten werden beschrieben: Hylaeus (H.) hellenicus sp. n., H. ibericus sp. n. und H. pyrenaicus sp. n. Für die Männchen wird eine Bestimmungstabelle gegeben. Innerhalb der Hylaeus-communis-Gruppe werden Merkmalsunterschiede an den Terminalia der Männchen untersucht; es wird eine entsprechende Gruppierung der westpaläarktischen Taxa in Artenkreise (communis s. str. und deceptorius) vorgenommen. Field surveys in Richmond and the surrounding areas found this species from 28 April to 5 August 2019. This is the furthest south H. pictipes has been recorded on the east coast of the USA.
