Abstract:
Twenty-five new species of neotropical Limacodidae, primarily from Central America, are described. The majority of these species (n=15) are from Parasa and Natada generic complexes, both presently known to contain only spiny caterpillars. In the Parasa complex, they include: Parasa figueresi, new species, Parasa joanae, new species, Parasa sandrae, new species, Parasa shirleyae, new species, Euclea mesoamericana, new species, Euclea zurquicola, new species, Euclea microcippus, new species, Euclea costaricana, new species, Euclea gajentaani, new species, Euclea josepsi, new species, Talima beckeri, new species, Talima weissi, new species, and Talima erojasi, new species. In the Natada complex, two new taxa are Natada delgadoi, new species, and Natada varablancana, new species. In a generic complex with hairy caterpillars, the Phobetron complex, six new taxa are: Phobetron guzmanae, new species, Isochaetes dwagsi, new species, Isochaetes kenjii, new species, Isochaetes heevansi, new species, Isochaetes tapantiensis, new species, and Vipsophobetron davisi, new species. In the Prolimacodes and Perola complexes, caterpillars are known to be smooth. New species in the Prolimacodes complex are Prolimacodes montanus, new species, and Dichromapteryx saborioi, new species, while the Perola complex includes Perola aenea, new species, and Epiperola browni, new species. Euclea microcippus, Parasa sandrae and Vipsophobetron davisi are the smallest species known to occur in their genera. Euclea mesoamericana and Parasa figueresi are relatively common in collections but have been mistakenly grouped with Euclea cippus (Cramer) and Parasa schausi Dyar, respectively. Each was reported from both Central and South America, but is now considered to be limited to South America. Talima weissi is closely related to the Mexican species T. assimilis (Dyar), sharing both a detachable clump of hairs on 8 th abdominal segment in males and large ductus seminalis, which hold the hairs, in females. Larval descriptions or hostplants are presented for P. sandrae, P. joanae, E. mesoamericana, E. gajentaani, T. beckeri, T. weissi, I. dwagsi, I. kenjii, I. heevansi, and V. davisi. Euclea zurquicola, E. josepsi, T. erojasi, N. delgadoi, N. varablancana, P. guzmanae, I. tapantiensis, and E. browni are known from only one locality, each in Costa Rica, while the last four are known only from unique specimens.

Abstract:
Although the caterpillars are well-known for the stings and magnificent coloration, the systematics of Limacodidae is historically neglected and chaotic due to the difficulty in matching the larval with adult stages as well as the very conservative and convergent adult morphology. One of the biggest taxonomic problems surrounds a collective group from Southeastern Asia, termed the “green limacodid moths”, which harbours at least 90 species placed in the genus <i>Parasa</i> Walker, 1859 and 14 “subunits”. The <i>P.</i> <i>undulata </i>group was previously composed of 3 species from China and Taiwan, and characterized only by wing pattern. This species group is extensively studied herein with two new species described, i.e. <i>P. viridiflamma</i> <b>sp. n. </b>(Taiwan) and <i>P. minwangi</i> <b>sp. n.</b> (S. China), and discovery of female genitalia of three species, presenting new phylogenetic insights in this potentially paraphyletic genus. In addition, one limacodid larva was found to be feeding exclusively on <i>Picea</i> (Pinaceae) in Taiwan. Its identity,<i> Parasa pygmy</i> Solovyev, 2010 in <i>P. undulata</i> group, is confirmed through matching its COI sequence to the adult. This discovery is also biologically significant because the previous known host breadth of <i>Parasa</i> was of polyphagy on various angiosperm plant families. This case, therefore, represents the first record of conifer-feeding behavior in this family as well as the first of specialized herbivory in the genus. Meanwhile, the background match between <i>Picea</i> leaves and larval coloration is shared with other <i>Picea</i>-feeding insects. This phenomenon is worth of further investigation in the aspect of convergent evolution of crypsis associated with a particular plant.

Life cycle of Parasa vivida Walk commonly known as stinging caterpillar on Populus deltoides has been studied and described for the first time on this host. This is a polyphagous pest and a major limacodid pest. Larvae of this pest have very irritant tufts of spines and moves like a slug. They generally prefer mature leaves and almost devour the leaves except the midrib. Females tend to be slightly larger than the males.

Malayan Red Dwarf (MRD) x WAT, and Camerun Red Dwarf (CRD x Rennel Tall (RLT), aged 2.5 years, was carried out in swampy area of South Sumatra province, in 1991.&#x0D; &#x0D; A number of 30 palms, taken at random, from each block of the above mentioned hybrids were studied. Hence, there were 1SO trees observed altogether. The population of larvae per leaf as well as their dwellings in the fronds were recorded to investigate age of leaf consumed.&#x0D; &#x0D; Results of the study showed that none of the hybrids were resistant to P. lepida larvae. Cultivar of NYD x WAT was attacked more followed by Green Khina‑1, NYD x WAT, CRD x RLT, and Brown Khina ‑ 1. Leaves of half matures of all hybrids were preferred compared to those of the others.

Satın alma gücündeki azalmayı ifade eden enflasyon, küresel ekonominin öne çıkan problemlerinden biridir. Bu müşkül, paraya dair tüm sözleşmeleri etkilemektedir. Öte yandan, İslâm hukukunun faiz yasağı konusundaki tutumu da yapılan akitlerle yakından ilişkilidir. Nitekim kâğıt parayla yapılan sözleşmelerde akit gerçekleşip borç ödenmeden önce, parada bir değer kaybı söz konusu olduğunda borcun nasıl ödeneceği tartışmalı hale gelmektedir. Mesela kimi İslâm hukukçuları, Hanefî mezhebinin kurucu önderlerinden Ebû Yûsuf’un (ö. 182/798) alışverişlerde bozuk para olarak kullanılan felsin değer değişimine ilişkin fetvasını kaynak göstererek kâğıt paradaki değer dalgalanmalarında, sözleşmenin yapıldığı tarihteki değer üzerinden ödeme yapılması gerektiğini savunmaktadır. Öte yandan diğer bazıları ise Ebû Yûsuf’un görüşünün kâğıt paraları içermediğini iddia etmektedir. Ebû Yûsuf’un felse ilişkin yaklaşımının kâğıt parayı kapsadığını savunanların temel argümanı, kâğıt paranın felsler gibi itibari bir değere sahip olduğudur. Bu, felste dikkate alınan değer kaybının kâğıt parada da dikkate alınacağı anlamına gelir. Meseleye ilişkin diğer bir argüman ise alışverişlerde bozuk para olarak kullanılan felste dikkate alınan değer değişiminin günümüzde asli para birimi olarak kullanılan kâğıt parada evleviyetle itibara alınacağıdır. Öte yandan, bu yaklaşımı kabul etmeyenler, felsin semen olması nedeniyle kıyemî olarak değerlendirilemeyeceğini ve Ebû Yûsuf’un ilgili görüşünün yalnızca alışverişlerde bozuk para olarak kullanılan felsle sınırlı olduğunu savunmaktadır. Çalışmamızda, andığımız bu iki yaklaşımı, sosyal bilimler nitel araştırma yöntemine başvurarak ele alacağız. Konunun analizi sırasında, güncel literatürde öne çıkan görüş ve tutumları kapsamlı bir biçimde ortaya koyup değerlendireceğiz. Ardından Ebû Yûsuf’un görüşünü borcun sebebi ve konusu bakımından irdeleyeceğiz. Böylelikle ilgili görüşün tarihsel veriler ışığında Hanefî mezhebi literatüründeki durumunu belirginleştirmiş olacağız. Ayrıca bu yaklaşımın günümüz kâğıt parası için geçerli olup olmadığı meselesine ışık tutacağız.&#x0D; Eldeki veriler ışığında, Ebû Yûsuf’un felsle ilgili görüşünün kâğıt parayı kapsamayacağını iddia edenlerin argümanlarının sorunlu olduğunu gözlemlendi. Çünkü ikinci görüşü benimseyenlerin gerekçelerinden biri, felsin alışverişlerde dirhemlerin küsuratını tamamlayan bozuk para olmasından dolayı günümüz kâğıt parasıyla bir tutulamayacağıdır. Örneğin ünlü Mısırlı tarihçilerden Makrîzî’nin (ö. 845/1442) bildirdiğine göre, felsler yalnızca bozuk para olarak değil aynı zamanda asli para birimi olarak da kullanılmıştır. Bu nedenle, asli para birimi olarak işlev gören felslerin değerinde gerçekleşen dalgalanmaların Ebû Yûsuf’un görüşü çerçevesinde ele alınması gerekir. Ayrıca bazı Hanefî fakihlerin Ebû Yûsuf’un görüşüne eklemeler yaptığı görülür. Söz gelimi, son dönem Hanefî mezhebinin önde gelen simalarından İbn Âbidîn (ö. 1307/1889) meseleye dair kaleme aldığı müstakil risalesinde, katkı maddesi fazla olan dirhemleri (mağlubü’l-gış/مغلوب الغش) fels kategorisinde değerlendirmiştir. Bu da Ebû Yûsuf’un yaklaşımının günümüz kâğıt parası için geçerliliğini destekler niteliktedir. Dolayısıyla, çalışmamız boyunca Ebû Yûsuf’un felslere ilişkin görüşünün günümüz kâğıt parası için de geçerli olduğu kanaatinin temel bir bulgu olarak öne çıktığını söyleyebiliriz. Çünkü Ebû Yûsuf, -İbn Âbidîn’in de belirttiği gibi- felslerin para olarak üretilmediğini, bu nedenle de itibari bir değeri haiz olduğunu iddia eder. Buradan hareketle kâğıt parada görülen değer dalgalanmasına dair Ebû Yûsuf’un görüşünü referans aldığımızda akit günündeki değer üzerinden ödeme yapılması gerektiğini savunanların daha isabetli bir tutum sergilediği anlaşılmaktadır.

Abstract:
Ulat api merupakan salah satu jenis hama yang dapat menyebabkan kerusakan berat pada tajuk tanaman kelapa sawit. Laporan serangan ulat api dengan intensitas berat seringkali terjadi sepanjang tahun di Sumatera Utara yang selama beberapa tahun terakhir didominasi oleh Setothosea asigna, Setora nitens dan Parasa lepida. Selain ketiga spesies tersebut, beberapa jenis ulat api minor juga telah dilaporkan keberadaannya sejak 30 tahun yang lalu, termasuk ulat api kecil Narosa rosipuncta. Pada semester kedua tahun 2019, ledakan N. rosipuncta terjadi di salah satu kebun kelapa sawit di wilayah Kabupaten Simalungun, Sumatera Utara dengan luas total serangan 28 hektar. Ledakan populasi ulat api minor N. rosipuncta tersebut mengindikasikan tidak berlangsungnya mekanisme pengendalian alami di lapangan selain pelaksanaan monitoring yang tidak konsisten. Upaya pengendalian untuk menurunkan populasi N. rosipuncta secara cepat telah berhasil dilakukan dengan aplikasi insektisida berbahan aktif deltametrin.

Abstract:
Many animal species can produce venom for defense, predation, and competition. The venom usually contains diverse peptide and protein toxins, including neurotoxins, proteolytic enzymes, protease inhibitors, and allergens. Some drugs for cancer, neurological disorders, and analgesics were developed based on animal toxin structures and functions. Several caterpillar species possess venoms that cause varying effects on humans both locally and systemically. However, toxins from only a few species have been investigated, limiting the full understanding of the Lepidoptera toxin diversity and evolution. We used the RNA-seq technique to identify toxin genes from the stinging nettle caterpillar, Parasa lepida (Cramer, 1799). We constructed a transcriptome from caterpillar urticating hairs and reported 34,968 unique transcripts. Using our toxin gene annotation pipeline, we identified 168 candidate toxin genes, including protease inhibitors, proteolytic enzymes, and allergens. The 21 P. lepida novel Knottin-like peptides, which do not show sequence similarity to any known peptide, have predicted 3D structures similar to tarantula, scorpion, and cone snail neurotoxins. We highlighted the importance of convergent evolution in the Lepidoptera toxin evolution and the possible mechanisms. This study opens a new path to understanding the hidden diversity of Lepidoptera toxins, which could be a fruitful source for developing new drugs.

Pertambahan penduduk di Indonesia yang semakin meningkat mengakibatkan kebutuhan dasar dari beberapa sektor seperti pertanian, perikanan, peternakan, perkebunan, tanaman pangan dan budidaya juga meningkat. PT. Infonika Parasa sebagai perusahaan mitra memiliki solusi untuk membuat sebuah sistem jual beli online berbasis marketplace. Namun, produsen dan konsumen membutuhkan tampilan sistem yang baik agar meminimalisir terjadinya kesalahan dalam melakukan transaksi jual beli online. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka dibuat user interface e-marketplace “Panen- Panen” yang dapat membantu pembudidaya sayuran, ikan, buah, dan ternak dalam memperluas pemasaran hasil olahan dan user dalam menggunakan aplikasi. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengolah data adalah Design Thinking dengan lima proses yaitu empathy, define, ideate, prototype, testing. Pada pengujian prototype menggunakan aspek learnability dan satisfaction dengan pendekatan system usability scale. Hasil pengujian dari aspek learnability sebesar 59% responden mempresentasikan kemudahan pengguna dalam menggunakan aplikasi marketplace “Panen-Panen” dan dari aspek satisfaction memperoleh hasil sebesar 71,3%. Selain itu, penilaian adjective ratings berada diatas “Good” dan dibawah “Excellent” serta berada pada grade “C” dan Acceptable. Responden berhasil melakukan beberapa skenario yang diberikan serta memberikan sebuah feedback untuk aplikasi yang diajukan, sehingga pengguna dapat menyelesaikan tujuannya dalam menggunakan aplikasi marketplace “Panen-Panen” yaitu mencari dan memesan kebutuhan sayuran, buah, ikan, atau daging.

Bankacılık alanının gelişmesi ve genişlemesi de doğal olarak kredi kavramının gelişmesini ve çeşitlenmesini sağlamaktadır. Bankacılık alanında işlerin gereği gibi yürüyebilmesinde, özellikle kredilerin zamanında geri dönüşünün önemi büyüktür. Bir kredinin zamanında geri dönüşü için en etkili unsur, kredi için sağlanan güvencedir. Kredilerin zamanla çeşitlenmesi ise birçok güvence çeşidinin ortaya çıkmasını sağlamıştır. Teminatın (Güvencenin) mevcut mevzuat kapsamında hukukî işlemlere konu olabilmesi, kredi süresince değerini koruyabilmesi, parasal bir değer taşıması, kolayca paraya çevrilebilir olması ve bu özellikleri sayesinde kredinin geri dönüşü için borçlu üzerinde yeterli etkiye sahip olması gerekmektedir. Kredilerin gereği gibi dönüşünde en etkili unsur olan güvencenin, aynı zamanda en az maliyetle temin edilmesi de kredi maliyetinin asgari düzeyde kalmasını sağlamakta ve kredinin işlevselliğini artırmaktadır. Kredi kullanan kişi açısından düşük maliyetli ve kolay elde edilebilen kredi daha çok tercih edilmektedir. Kredi veren açısından ise öncelik, kredinin gereği gibi geri dönüşünün sağlanması olup, bu durum ise doğrudan güvencenin işlevselliğine bağlıdır.

Tujuan dari artikel ini untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam kesenian Paraja-eja yang ditampilkan pada acara pernikahan Masyarakat Sogi. Kebudayaan juga memiliki nilai-nilai yang berbeda dari setiap daerah masing-masing. Salah satu kesenian yang memiliki nilainilai yang menarik yaitu dalam kesenian musik vokal Paraja-eja desa Sogi. Nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam musik vokal Paraja-eja menarik untuk diteli, seperti syair pada nyanyian ini nasehat, petuah, serta pesan-pesan yang terkandung dalam syair Paraja-eja memiliki nilai moral atau estetis. Penyajian Paraja-eja di masa pandemi sudah tidak bisa disajikan di desa Sogi, karena adanya wabah covid-19 yang sangat berbahaya bagi masyarakat, membuat pemerintahan setempat di Desa Sogi tutup. Perlunya pengembangan budaya tradisional Paraja-eja untuk peserta didik yang ada di Desa Sogi, agar eksistensi Paraja-eja selalu ada dan berkembang.

IPM or Integrated pest management is a strategy that integrates various methods of cultural, physical, mechanical, biological control and selection of pesticides as the last option. IPM is not only cost effective but simultaneously prioritized human and environmental safety. IPM is based on farmer’s local knowledge, acceptance and education. Several insects were reported as coconut pests in Asia and Pacific region. Among these pests, rhinoceros beetle, red palm weevil, coconut hispine beetle, coconut black headed caterpillar and coconut scale currently causing severe damage to coconut palms in the region. Rhinoceros beetle, Oryctes rhinoceros Linnaeus (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) is native to South Asia and Southeast Asia. Management of this pest is a combination of sanitation in plantations and surrounding, biological control by using Metarhizium anisopliae, Oryctes virus and pheromone trapping. Red palm weevil, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus Olivier (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) outbreaks usually occur after infestation of rhinoceros beetle. Keeping the rhinoceros under control results in keeping the red palm weevil under control too. Pheromone trapping is also developed for reduction of this pest. Coconut hispine beetle, Brontispa longissima (Gestro) (Coleoptera: Chrysomellidae), is an invasive pest occurs in Southeast Asia and Pacific region. Biological control of the pest is recommended by releasing two species of parasitoids, Asecodes hispinarus Boucek (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) and Tetrastichus brontispae Ferriere (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae). Coconut black headed caterpillar, Opisina arenosella Walker (Lepidoptera: Oecophoridae) is one of the key pests of coconut in South Asia and invaded Thailand in 2008. Management of this pest in its native region consisted of: 1) removing and burning of the infested leaves; 2) biological control by releasing parasitoids such as Goniozus nephantidis (Muesebeck), Bracon brevicornis (Wesmael), Brachymeria nephantidis Gahan; and 3) chemical control by trunk injection and applying systemic insecticides in the holes. Bacillus thruringiensis has been recommended for biological control of the black headed caterpillar in Thailand. Coconut scale, Aspidiotus destructor Signoret (Hemiptera: Diaspididae) has been reported as a serious in Philippines. Predators are significant biological control agents in limiting A. destructor populations. The most common natural enemies associated with the coconut scales are the coccinellid beetles Chilocorus spp., Azya trinitatis, Cryptognatha nodiceps, Rhyzobius lophanthae and Pentilia castanea. Local parasitoids, Comperiella, Aphytis and Encarsia also play important roles in keeping the pest under control. Application of insecticides could inducee the infestation of the scale. Biological controls is recommended for suppression of other coconut pests, such as slug caterpillars (Lepidoptera: Limacodidae) such as Parasa lepida Cramer; coconut leaf moth, Artona catoxantha Hampton (Lepidoptera: Zygaenidae); and coconut leafminer, Promecotheca cumingii Baly (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae).

Parata is a hard red spring wheat developed at the University of Alberta. In three years of testing in the Parkland Cooperative Registration Test, Parata was higher yielding (P &lt; 0.05) than AC Splendor (5.9 %) and CDC Teal (4.1 %) but similar to CDC Osler and AAC Connery. Parata matured earlier than CDC Teal, CDC Osler and AAC Connery and 1.6 days later than AC Splendor. Parata was shorter than all checks except AAC Connery and exhibited lodging resistance better than AC Splendor and CDC Osler. Test weight of Parata was greater than all checks by at least 1 kg hL−1, while seed mass was within the range of the check cultivars. Parata was rated resistant to the prevalent races of stem and stripe rust in three years of testing. It was rated R/MR in two years and MS in one year for leaf rust; and was I in two years and S in one year for common bunt. The FHB disease indices for Parata ranged from MS (1 rating) to MR in six station years. Three years of end-use quality evaluation has indicated that Parata is acceptable for the CWRS class, with improvements especially in flour yield and flour ash.

Organizacijoms, siekiančioms konkurencingumo dinamiško verslo sąlygomis, neabejotina darbuotojų proaktyvaus elgesio reikšmė. Proaktyvaus elgesio prielaidų tyrimuose vis dažniau atkreipiamas dėmesys į socialinės aplinkos svarbą. Šiame straipsnyje aprašomo tyrimo tikslas siejamas su iki šiol mažai tirtų potencialių proaktyvaus darbuotojų elgesio prielaidų analize: ieškoma sąsajų su vadovo, kolegų ir organizacijos parama bei vadovo proaktyviu elgesiu. Tyrime dalyvavo 206 darbuotojai (79 vyrai ir 127 moterys, amžiaus vidurkis 30 metų). Rezultatai: organizacijos, vadovo ir kolegų parama yra teigiamai susijusi su darbuotojų proaktyviu elgesiu, stipriausias prediktorius yra organizacijos parama. Vadovo proaktyvus elgesys tiesiogiai nėra susijęs su proaktyviu darbuotojų elgesiu, tačiau padeda numatyti bendrą proaktyvaus elgesio rodiklį, užduoties atlikimo, asmens ir aplinkos dermės bei strateginį tipus, kai išreikšta vadovo, kolegų ir organizacijos parama: vadovo proaktyvaus elgesio ir darbuotojų strateginio elgesio ryšį sustiprina kolegų ir organizacijos parama, o vadovo proaktyvaus elgesio ir darbuotojo asmens ir aplinkos dermės elgesio ryšį – vadovo parama.
