The transactional analysis concept assumes that everybody has specific areas of themselves: Parent ego-state, Adult ego-state and Child ego-state. In this approach, Parent and Child have two separate, in a sense, opposing aspects. In the case of the first one, it is a Controlling Parent and a Nurturing Parent, and in the case of Child – a Free Child and an Adapted Child. Entering into a relationship with another human being, we do it from the particular level of ourselves. The relevance of the study of parental identity is determined by the current state of society, as well as a significant social demand for the study of internal determinants of parenthood, stuffing of the psychological and pedagogical context, patterns, dynamic transformations, and developing ways to develop the parental identity. We studied the specifics of parental identity processes among Russian fathers and mothers. We present the results of empirical study obtained on a sample of men and women who are Russian-speaking residents of Russia. The study involved respondents (N=721) aged 25 to 56

Psychology is a general concept that every human being possesses. Using Freud's Psychoanalytic Theory, this study investigates the types of Psychological Aspects found in Geralt, the main character in Andrzej Sapkowski's novel "The Witcher: The Last Wish" (Id, Ego, and Superego). The researcher used the qualitative method and a case study design to achieve the research goal. The data is gathered through document analysis in the form of the main character's utterances. The researcher discovered 806 data from Geralt's utterances, with 149 data (18.48%) included the Psychological Aspects. Accordi

Work-life is believed to have either positive or negative effect on employees’ job productivity especially among single-parent workers. The study investigated the relationship between single parent-teachers and their level of job productivity in public senior secondary schools in Edo State. To achieve this objective, four research questions were raised while three hypotheses were formulated therefrom. Two hundred and twenty-five single-parent teachers were purposively selected across the State-owned secondary schools in Edo State, Nigeria. Data were obtained through a structured question

Little is known about child-to-parent intergenerational learning for environmental sustainability. This qualitative multiple case study research investigated how young Maltese children (aged three to seven years) influence their parents’ pro-environmental actions. Participants included 12 children and 10 parents. Data were collected via observations in one household and two state schools, conversational interviews with children, children’s drawings and their interpretations of them, children’s photograph interpretations, semi-structured interviews with parents and document analysis. AbstractTwo experiments were performed during the summers of 1991 and 1992 to determine whether embryonic vocalizations cause changes in the behaviour of adult eared grebes (Podiceps nigricollis) during late incubation. In Experiment 1, a vocalizing egg was substituted in 14 nests, two days before the first egg in that nest was to begin vocalizing. Parents reduced the amount of rising and resettling and the time spent off the nest while incubating and increased the frequency of egg turning, nest building, and percent of time the 'off-duty' parent spent near the nest. Abstract Oilseed radish is resistant to the beet cyst nematode (Heterodera schachtii Schmidt), interrupting the life cycle of this sedentary pathogen by blocking feeding cell development in the root. A complete set of nine disomic rape-radish chromosome additions, a to i, derived from a susceptible rapeseed parent as recipient and a resistant radish as chromosome donor, was assayed for nematode resistance. The addition line d exhibited the resistance level of the radish parent, confirming previous results that radish chromosome d carries a dominant gene, Hs1Rph, for nematode resistance. It was

Glossiphoniidae is a family of freshwater leeches, notable for their unique behaviour of parental care. After hatching, juveniles remain on the ventral side of their parent, where they receive protection and grow until they are ready to depart from the parent leech. The detachment of juveniles is a crucial stage for their development and independence from their parents, potentially influenced by various factors. To investigate these factors, ten parental individuals of Orientobdelloides siamensis were studied in the laboratory. Three to five days after copulation, all parental leeches deposite
