Abstract:
Three new species, Parisotoma ruseki sp. nov., P. yehlathi sp. nov., and Folsomotoma amyliuae sp. nov. are described from South Africa. Parisotoma ruseki sp. nov. is characterized by four posterior s-chaetae on each side of the three first abdominal segments and seven posterior chaetae on dens, Parisotoma yehlathi sp. nov. by five s-chaetae and eight chaetae on dens, respectively. All s-chaetae on the body of Folsomotoma amyliuae sp. nov. are short, unlike its congeners. The genera Folsomotoma and Halisotoma are recorded for the first time in South Africa.

Abstract:
Two new species, Parisotoma sexsetosa sp. nov. and P. obscurocellata sp. nov., are described from the Western Cape Province in South Africa. The former is characterized with 2+2 ocelli and 4 sensilla in the p-row on each side of three first abdominal segments, the latter with 5+5 or more ocelli and 3+3 chaetae on the postlabial area. Both species have only 6 posterior chaetae on dens. A comparison of South African and Asiatic Parisotoma species is given. Sensillar chaetotaxy of the third and fourth abdominal segments is critical in the separation of these geographically distinct groups.

Type specimens of Desoria brucealla (Wray), a western North American species, are transferred to Misturasotoma n.gen. The new genus differs from Desoria, Heteroisotoma, Isotoma, and Parisotoma by the following combination of characters: eyes absent, tibiotarsi with 11 setae in distal whorl, tenaculum with 9–15 setae, manubrium with apical spinelike setae, mucrones quadridentate, macrochaetae smooth, and sensilliform setae of abdominal segments IV and V short.

Abstract:
The effect of the addition of detrital subsidy on the winter wheat ecosystem was evaluated. Already during the first growing season after the addition, detrital subsidy led to an increase in yield by 17% and twofold population growth of soil saprophagous macrofauna. A significant correlation (r = 0.39) between abundance of Collembola species P. notabilis and Fusarium species in soil was revealed.
