Purpose of the parodontium examination in a 5-day dry immersion (DI) study was a comprehensive assessment of the effects of a lactoferrin tooth rinse on the parodontium using microbiological and immunological investigations. Test-subjects were 7 normal females aged 22 to 40 years selected by the IBMP Medical Expert Commission. Before and after the study, samples were gathered before breakfast prior to tooth brushing.
