A presente dissertação pretende identificar os sons do português europeu que colocam mais dificuldades aos alunos chineses de Português como Língua Segunda ao nível da compreensão oral, em particular na distinção de palavras homógrafas e parónimas. Este trabalho é suportado por uma prévia revisão de literatura que serve como apoio à construção de um questionário com exercícios alusivos a este tipo de palavras. Os dados obtidos foram exaustivamente analisados com o intuito de compreender as dificuldades dos alunos chineses, identificando com precisão os sons mais complexos e, consequentemente, de propor sugestões para a melhoria do ensino-aprendizagem que assentam sobre este tema. Verificou-se que os alunos chineses têm diminuto conhecimento das homógrafas “verdadeiras”, tanto no conceito como na distinção dos sons corretos e que têm dificuldade em distinguir as homógrafas “falsas” que possuem a mesma característica morfossintática. Relativamente às parónimas, os erros ortográficos cometidos pelos alunos chineses estão presentes em todos os tipos estabelecidos de parónimas e com uma taxa superior a 50%. Os alunos chineses têm bastante dificuldade em distinguir os sons das parónimas por meio de audição, principalmente os sons r/l, [l]/[w], e/i, [ũ]/[õ], [ẽ]/[ĩ ], surda/sonora, -e-/-a-, de/di e pro/pre e vogal inserida separada. Propõe-se que os docentes criem novas abordagens e deem mais foco a esta matéria, no que toca aos sons, sílabas, interpretação dos contextos, regras grafofonéticas, e construção de cenários em que os conhecimentos da ortografia e da pronúncia das homógrafas e das parónimas sejam praticados e aprofundados.<br>The present dissertation intends to identify the errors orthographic and the difficult pronounces of European Portuguese by Chinese PFL students in relation to homologous and paronymous words. This work is supported by a previous literature review that serves to support the construction of a questionnaire with exercises alluding to this type of words. Based on the results obtained, we carried out an exhaustive analysis to understand the difficulty of Chinese PFL students and consequently propose suggestions for the improvement of teaching and learning that are based on this theme. We found that chinese students have little knowledge of “real” homographs, both in concept and in the distinction of correct pronunciation, and that they have difficulty in distinguishing “false” homographs that have the same morpho-syntactic features. Regarding paronyms, orthographic errors made by chinese students are present in all established types of paronyms and with a rate higher than 50%. Chinese students find it very difficult to distinguish paronyms by hearing, especially the sounds r / l, [l] / [w], e/ i, [ũ] / [õ], [ẽ] / [ĩ], deaf / voiced, -e - / - a-, de- / di, pro / pre and vowel inserted separately. We propose that teachers create new approaches and give more focus to this subject, such as pronunciation, syllables, interpretation of contexts, graphical-phonetic rules, and construction of scenarios in which the knowledge of orthographic and pronunciation of homographs and paronyms can be practiced and deepened.<br>Mestrado em Português Língua Estrangeira/Língua Segunda
