We discuss a method for filter implementation — Laguerre Impulse Response Approximation (LIRA) — along with sufficient conditions for when the filter can be realized with it. We then discuss methods

Abstract:
Abstract This study uses finite element software to simulate and analyze a multi-layer, multi-pass (seven layers and twenty-two passes) welding technique applied to V-groove butt weld for 50mm thick Q420 steel plates. The simulation accurately depicts the temperature distribution during the welding process using a double ellipsoid heat source model. Temperatures gradually increase along each weld pass trajectory until reaching peak values exceeding 2000°C at specific points, while the underlying base metal reaches temperatures as high as 300°C. By examining metallic phases’ spatial allocation

AbstractThe design of a circular-shaped differential wideband band pass filter (BPF) is described. The proposed filter is compact and provides good common mode (CM) suppression. It consists of four ports with a circular-shaped differential mode (DM). The analysis of the filter has been carried out by bisecting it into identical two-port networks along the symmetry plane, resulting in a band stop or band pass response under CM or DM excitations, respectively. The length and width of the stubs can be tuned to obtain the desired pass band and stop band of the differential BPF. The proposed design

The structure and element change in the zone of the joint interface were studied by means of optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and energy diffraction spectrum (EDS). The results showed that the bonding mode of the joint interface between AZ31B and 5052 alloy was metallic bonding after the first pass hot rolling, but the bonding mode of the finished composite plate appeared t

For more than 150 years, the issue of building a railway through the Main Caucasus Range in its central part, has been discussed, which has posed the main problem of railway construction in the Caucasus. The question of why the railway crossing through the Caucasus ridge should necessarily go through the central part of the ridge was immediately obvious and understandable. In Transcaucasia, of course, it was possible to make a road along the Black Sea and along the Caspian Sea, which was eventually done, but the direction through the central part of the Caucasus Range is of great strategic and

Steel bars having a cross section of 18mm square with uniform distribution of ultrafine ferrite grains were produced through a multi-pass warm caliber rolling process in a 0.15%C-0.3%Si-1.5%Mn steel. The average ferrite grain sizes of 0.43μ m, 0.70μ m and 1.2 μ m were obtained in the isothermal warm caliber rolling processes at 773K, 823K and 873K respectively. Even though caliber rolling results in inhomogeneous strain distribution, multi-pass caliber rolling to large cumulated strains of 2 or 3 can be uniformly introduced in to the bar samples. A technology called substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) combines the benefits of printed circuit boards and conventional waveguides. SIW is widely used in microwave devices, especially filters, due to its excellent power handling, low loss, and low cost of manufacture. This work proposes a new type of evanescent-mode band-pass filter (BPF). The design and construction of a band-pass Half Mode Substrate Integrated Waveguide filter (HMSIW) are presented in this work, along with simulation results. The HMSIW filter's band-pass range was established to be ranged from 5.220 GHz to 8.808 GHz using

This article describes the use of second-order all-pass filters as components in a feedback network, with parameters made time varying to enable effects such as phase distortion in a generative audio system. The term “audio” is used here to distinguish from generative “music” systems, emphasizing the strong coupling between processes governing the production of high-level music and lower-level audio. The classical time-invariant implementation of an all-pass filter is subject to issues of instability that can arise when time-invariant filter parameters are allowed to vary over time. These inst

To extend the existing knowledge on first-order voltage-mode all-pass filters, this paper presents two novel first-order voltage-mode all-pass sections, each employing single fully differential second-generation current conveyor (FDCCII) being used as the newly obtained fully differential voltage conveyor (FDVC), a resistor and a grounded capacitor. Both the proposed circuits possess high-input and low-output impedance feature, which makes the proposed circuits ideal for voltage-mode systems. Non-ideal study along with simulation results is given for validation.

Three-pass removal data for juvenile rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) along bank areas of the Henrys Fork of the Snake River, Idaho, were used to construct a mean capture probability (MCP) model to predict abundance from single-pass catch data. We evaluated the MCP model by simulation. The precision of the MCP model was poor when predicting abundance within a specific bank unit. MCP model prediction intervals were about 7.5 times greater than three-pass removal intervals. However, the MCP model performed about the same as three-pass removal for predicting total abundance in a river section

The filters employ one voltage differencing current conveyor (VDCC) as an active element and two capacitors along with two resistors as passive elements. All the five filter responses, i.e., high-pass, low-pass, band-pass, band-stop, and all-pass responses, are obtained from the same circuit topology.
