Student engagement is a crucial predictor of learning outcomes. The study constructed measurement indicators primarily based on five dimensions: learning beliefs, behavioral tendencies, emotional attitudes, self-efficacy in learning ability, and self-efficacy in learning behavior. It collected questionnaire data from 347 students who had been promoted from junior college to undergraduate studies. The survey data were processed using correlation analysis, regression analysis, and the K-means clustering algorithm. This paper critically examines the widespread use of passive learning in Filipino classrooms and its long-term consequences on student engagement, creativity, and critical thinking. While passive methods may seem efficient, they inadvertently marginalize diverse learners, suppress curiosity, and discourage active participation. We propose a novel algorithm to passively learn deterministic Timed Automata from events sequences associated with the delay occurring between them. This algorithm produces models that are more specific than State-of-the-Art algorithms and that has a better identification of the temporal constraints applying on the systems.

Introduction: The study of school factors capable of mitigating the passive response of bystanders is crucial for preventing bullying; however, research on this topic remains limited. The present study examined the relationships between school collective efficacy in managing bullying incidents and bystander passive behaviour in bullying. It also explores the mediating role of student perceptions of school justice and a sense of community in this relationship. Method: The study included 600 adolescents aged 12-16 (Mage = 14.31 years, SD = 0.63, 54% female) who completed self-reported measures a

However, passive learning places the responsibility for students’ learning on the instructor rather than the students themselves. Constructive learning techniques, such as case-based learning (CBL), give students opportunities to apply previous knowledge while constructing their own deep learning. Abstract To move between different semiotic systems, such as graphs and formulas, is a necessary step in learning physics or solving problems. In social semiotics, this movement of semiotic material is called a transduction and during a transduction a student must unpack, filter, and highlight different aspects of the concept or problem. Unpacking, filtering, and highlighting have been shown to be important to the meaning-making process and transductions should be seen as indicators of meaning-making and learning.
