Abstract: We assessed behaviour of reindeer affected by nutritional deprivation and how they adapted to various feeding strategies. The activity pattern of 61 penned eight month old female reindeer calves was observed during 20 of a total of 42 experimental days in winter 1997. The dominant activities were lying, ruminating, intake of feed and water, and standing. Few recordings of agonistic behaviour or snow intake occured. Restricted feed intake, half the ad lib. ration of a lichen-based diet, affected the eating behaviour of the reindeer, and more animals were standing and fewer lying compared to reindeer fed ad lib. Lack of energy in the diet correlated with animals lying curled up (lying with the muzzle close to the hind legs). This behaviour could be a useful complement to other measurements and registrations when studying adaptations to various feeding regimens.Abstract in Swedish/Sammanfattning:Syftet med studien var att undersöka om, och i så fall hur renars beteende påverkades av otillräckligt näringsintag och vid anpassning till olika utfodringsstrategier. Aktivitetsmönstret hos 61 inhägnade åtta månader gamla honrenkalvar studerades under 20 av totalt 42 försöksdagar. De vanligaste beteendekategorierna genom hela försöket var ligga, idissla, intag av foder och vatten samt stå passivt. Endast ett fåtal observationer av aggressivt beteende och snöätande registrerades. En begränsad giva dvs. halva mängden av fodergivan vid fri tillgång av en lavbaserad diet påverkade djuren ätbeteende. Dessutom observerades fler djur stå passivt medan färre låg jämfört med kontrollgruppen. Under första fasen av utfodring efter restriktionsperioden låg fler djur låg ihoprullade (med mulen tätt intill bakbenet) jämfört med kontrollgruppen, vilket tolkades som ett tecken på energibrist. Beteendestudierna visade sig vara ett värdefullt komplement till övriga mätningar och provtagningar vid studier av renars anpassning till olika utfodringsregimer.

Abstract:

Med udgangspunkt i en konkret undersøgelse af en gruppe unges medie- forbrug i og udenfor skolen påpeger Anne Jerslev eksistensen af en medie- ungdomskultur. Den skabes til lejligheden og opløses, når filmen er færdig. Anne Jerslev finder, at selv i skolesituationen skaber eleverne et kulturelt rum, der imiterer fritidens lystfyldte receptionssituation, hvor lærer-elev- hierarkiet til en vis grad er suspenderet. Det er en situation som al medie- undervisning må tage sit udgangspunkt i. Ud fra disse erfaringer tager hun sidst i artiklen også afstand fra den medie- pædagogik, som betragter produktion som aktiv skaben mens sening er passivt forbrug. Anne Jerslev finder, at det er en falsk modsætning - pro- duktion og sening er to forskellige slags produktion.

Gramáticas tradicionais do português tratam a passiva como voz, incluindo-a no quadro da conjugação verbal. Neste artigo, discutimos os argumentos de Perini (2010) de que não há voz passiva em português e relacionamos essa proposta com a abordagem da POLFIE, uma gramática do polonês desenvolvida no quadro da LFG e implementada no sistema XLE. Conforme essa gramática, a passiva é uma construção predicativa adjetival. Apresentamos uma evidência adicional, de natureza morfológica, do estatuto adjetival do particípio passivo em português e implementamos essa análise na BrGram, uma gramática do português do Brasil nos moldes da POLFIE. ABSTRACTTraditional grammars of Portuguese handle the passive construction as a voice phenomenon which is part of the verbal conjugation. This is a computational grammar of Polish which was developed within the framework of LFG and implemented in XLE. In this grammar, the passive construction is an adjective predicative construction. We present additional morphological evidence on the adjectival status of the passive participle in Portuguese and implement this analysis in BrGram, a computational grammar of Brazilian Portuguese that is analogous to POLFIE. Die Ableitung des Passivs ist typologisch keine einheitlich konfigurierte Konstruktion. In den kontinental-westgermanischen Sprachen und dem Lateinischen setzt sie ein lexikalisch externes Argument (designiertes Subjektargument) voraus, im Englischen, Französischen und Russischen sowohl ein externes wie ein internes Argument (Subjekt und (direktes) Objekt). Gleichwohl sind Passive im Deutschen und Russischen - also quer zu dieser ersten Verbklassifikation – aspektuellen Beschränkungen unterworfen, Passive im Englischen dagegen nicht, jedenfalls auf den ersten Blick. Sehen wir in diesen Kreis von Sprachen noch historische Stufen hinzu, dann ist auch davon auszugehen, daß Sprachen wie das Deutsche von einer Stufe mit einem paradigmatisch einigermaßen systematisch gefestigten Aspektsystem ohne Passiv – dem Althochdeutschen – zu einer Sprache mit Passiv (und ohne Aspekt) wurde. Wir brauchen gar nicht die gemeinsame indoeuropäische Wurzel zu beschwören, um die folgenden Fragen plausibel erscheinen zu lassen: Was hat Aspekt mit Passiv zu tun? Und: Soferne solche Übergänge tatsächlich vorliegen – wie sehen die Schritte von Aspekt zum Genus verbi im einzelnen aus, und wo stehen die Sprachen heute im Vergleich zueinander, also auf einer Art Entwicklungsleiter, mit Vorläufer- gegenüber Nachläuferstufen in der relativen Diachronie von Aspekt zur Passivdiathese?

Abstract: This study investigated the influence of experience with L2 English in the processing of passives in L1 Brazilian Portuguese (BP) by high-proficiency bilinguals and BP monolinguals. Based on the premise that high L2 proficiency is indicative of widespread representational sharing (BERNOLET; HARTSUIKER; PICKERING, 2013) and on the observation that the passive is significantly more productive in English than in BP (GUIMARÃES; SOUZA, 2016), bilinguals’ processing of the construction is expected to be facilitated by L2 exposure. Subjects performed an acceptability judgment task and two sentence elicitation tasks. Both groups considered the passive as acceptable as the active, with no significant differences between the two groups’ judgments of the passive. Differences were found in the oral production of passives between bilinguals and monolinguals, but not in written production: task type influenced the production of monolinguals in that passive productivity fell significantly from the written to the oral task. The difference in productivity levels of the passive between bilinguals and monolinguals is attributed to bilinguals’ exposure to the construction’s distributional properties in the L2, supporting models of bilingual shared representations (HARTSUIKER; PICKERING; VELTKAMP, 2004).Keywords: bilingualism; frequency effects; L2 proficiency; passive construction; acceptability judgment; written production; oral production.Resumo: Este estudo investigou a influência da experiência com L2 inglês no processamento de passivas em L1 português brasileiro (PB) por bilíngues de alta proficiência e monolíngues do PB. Baseando-se na premissa de que alta proficiência em L2 é indicativa de compartilhamento generalizado de representações (BERNOLET; HARTSUIKER; PICKERING, 2013) e na observação de que a passiva é significativamente mais produtiva em inglês do que no PB (GUIMARÃES; SOUZA, 2016)propomos uma visão construcional da construção, na qual ela é tomada como entidade teórica independente. Apesar de sintaticamente congruente no português brasileiro (PB, espera-se que o processamento da construção por bilíngues seja facilitado pela exposição à L2. A compreensão da construção foi observada através de uma tarefa de julgamento de aceitabilidade de sentenças, enquanto a produção foi observada a partir de duas tarefas de descrição de imagens (uma escrita e outra oral). Tanto bilíngues quando monolíngues julgaram a passiva tão aceitável quanto a ativa, sem diferença significativa nos julgamentos entre os dois perfis linguísticos. Apesar de as passivas terem sido menos frequentes do que as ativas nas tarefas de produção, o tipo de tarefa influenciou o número de ocorrências de passivas dentre os monolíngues: sua produção foi similar à dos bilíngues na tarefa escrita, mas significativamente menor na tarefa oral. A diferença nos níveis de produtividade de passivas entre bilíngues e monolíngues é atribuída à exposição dos bilíngues às propriedades distribucionais da construção na L2, corroborando modelos de compartilhamento representacional bilíngue (HARTSUIKER; PICKERING; VELTKAMP, 2004).Palavras-chave: bilinguismo; efeitos de frequência; proficiência em L2; construção passiva; julgamento de aceitabilidade; produção escrita; produção oral.

Det er receptionsforskningens uomtvistelige fortjeneste, at den har sat focus på modtagernes oplevelser og vurderinger. Brugerne tages tilsyne- ladende alvorligt, i modsætning til den kritiske teori (Frankfurterskolen m.v.), der i debatten om receptionsforskningen er blevet beskyldt for at være formynderisk: Den tager stilling til æstetisk og indholdsmæssig kvalitet på brugernes vegne. I denne artikel forsøger Ib Bondebjerg at fastholde en del næsten glemte, men fundamentale nuancer (ikke mindst mht. tekstens status i forhold til oplevelsen) i både den kritiske teori, semiotikken og dele af receptions- forskningen. Hermed bidrages til den diskussion om hvem der skal fast- lægge den kulturelle og æstetiske værdi i et medieprodukt som tages op af både Jensen, Schrøder og Skovmand i dette nummer. Indirekte viser Bondebjerg, at der sker en afpolitisering af medierne, hvis de alene eksisterer i en uproblematiseret relation mellem afsender og modtager. Populært TV konstrueres jo netop så det fremtræder lyst- og spændings- fyldt og kommer herved til at virke som et passivt spejl for modtagerne. Hvis kunsten forråder det smertefulde og tabuiserede, bliver den ufarlig. Mediernes eneste formål bliver da at igangsætte et på forhånd kalkuleret ping-pong-spil mellem den enkeltes erfaringer, oplevelser og fantasier. Heroverfor stiller Bondebjerg den demokratiske radikalisme hvor æstetik- ken udgør et kampområde. Kunsten er med andre ord en politisk agent, hvor både afsenderen, modtageren og samfundet selv aktivt er med i forandringsprocessen. - "Perspektivet er at gøre modtagerne til kvalifi- cerede producenter i videste forstand".

Abstract:

Verbs in German and Arabic are of two types: active and passive. Passive voice is a grammatical voice construction that is found in many languages. Out of grammatical perspective, each main verb has a form in the active and one in the passive known as a "genus verbi" (type of verb). In passive voice, both in German and in Arabic, the focus is on the action itself or on the result of the action; often the perpetrator is not mentioned. In German, to conjugate verbs in the passive voice, you must know the forms of werden (to become). German uses werden + the past participle and states it at the end of a sentence. In Arabic, the passive is formed by changing the vowels on the verb; the vowel series u-i-a occurs instead of the a-vowels. Transitive prepositional verbs originally are intransitive verb with a preposition added to the action of the sentence. In German, the prepositional group can be combined with the prepositions von or durch, while in Arabic, such a prepositional group occurs only in certain cases. In contrast to Arabic, the passive in German is impossible with reflexive verbs. In some cases, an impersonal passive in German corresponds with a personal passive in Arabic. The present paper discusses some of these verbs traced in a chart that shows the most important results when compared with their Arabic equivalents. In grammatischen Darstellung findet man für jedes Vollverb eine Form im Aktiv und eine im Passiv, es wird von „genus verbi“ (Art des Verbs) gesprochen. Im Passiv steht sowohl im Deutschen als auch im Arabischen das Geschehen selbst oder das Ergebnis der Handlung im Vordergrund; aus der Sicht der betroffenen Person oder Sache; oft wird der Täter nicht gennant. Im Deutschen wird die passivische Verbform mit dem Hilfsverb werden und dem Partizip II gebildet, während die Vokalreihe u-i-a anstelle der a- Vokale im Arabischen eintritt. Die im Aktiv mit Präpositionen verbundenen Verben bilden in beiden Sprachen ein unpersönliches Passiv. Im Deutschen kann die Präpositionalgruppe mit den Präpositionen von oder durch verbunden werden. Im Unterschied dazu tritt solche Präpositionalgruppe im Arabischen nur in bestimmten Fällen mit من قبل auf. Im Unterschied zum Arabischen ist das Passiv im Deutschen bei reflexiv Verben unmöglich. In einigen Fällen entspricht ein unpersönliches Passiv im Deutschen einem persönlichen Passiv im Arabischen.

http://dx.doi.org/10.5007/1984-8412.2016v13n1p1009O objetivo deste trabalho é descrever a estrutura passiva num corpus de aquisição, contabilizando e tipificando as passivas que surgem na fala espontânea das crianças e dos adultos que com elas interagem. Dado que, no campo da aquisição da linguagem, vários estudos apontam para eventuais atrasos na aquisição da passiva, pretendeu-se verificar se, em português europeu, essa estrutura surgia tardiamente e qual o tipo de passiva a emergir primeiramente. Feito o levantamento de todas as passivas presentes no corpus, procedeu-se à sua análise. Os dados mostram que as crianças produzem passivas estativas e só depois passivas eventivas e resultativas. O tipo de passivas que as crianças produzem mais cedo e em maior quantidade é aquele que é mais produzido pelos adultos em interação com elas, ou seja, a passiva estativa. Destaca-se ainda a idade bastante precoce em que estas construções começam a ser produzidas (antes dos dois/três anos).

Priming sintático é a facilitação do processamento sintático do falante que ocorre quando uma estrutura sintática é repetida através de duas (ou mais) sentenças consecutivas. É possível estimular a produção de estruturas passivas (ou de estruturas infrequentes) se for dado ao falante, em um momento anterior, um prime passivo. A frequência de produção de sentenças na voz ativa, comparativamente à produção de sentenças na voz passiva, parece ser maior nas línguas. Neste trabalho, investigamos o efeito de priming sintático com crianças de 8 e 9 anos, falantes do português brasileiro, para responder se (i) o conhecimento gramatical abstrato de estruturas ativas e passivas está consolidado em crianças de 8 e 9 anos falantes de PB (Português Brasileiro); (ii) as crianças apresentam o efeito de priming sintático e aprendem com a produção de estruturas repetidas entre prime e alvo corroborando a teoria de Implicit Learning; e (iii) se o efeito de priming sintático ocorre somente com a repetição da estrutura sentencial entre prime e alvo, sugerindo que há um componente sintático da linguagem não mediado por questões semânticas ou demais questões linguísticas na gramática mental do ser humano. O efeito de priming sintático se mostrou significativo nas sentenças passivas. As crianças apresentam conhecimento abstrato de estruturas sintáticas. No entanto, parecem ter margem para “aprender” o uso dessas estruturas, sendo sensíveis ao efeito de priming sintático.

Objetivo: Verificar a ocorrência de morbidades respiratórias associadas ao fumo passivo em escolares, e a prevalência do fumo passivo entre as crianças estudadas. Material e Métodos: Este foi um estudo observacional transversal, com escolares de 2 a 5 anos de idade de Campo Grande/MS. Foram distribuídos questionários padronizados às famílias, com perguntas fechadas, abordando questões referentes à criança, presença de familiares tabagistas e hábito tabágico. A análise estatística foi realizada pelo teste qui-quadrado, Fisher e teste z, com p < 0,05 significante. Resultados: Foram distribuídos 920 questionários, com participação de 243 crianças. Do número total de crianças participantes, 25,93% foram caracterizadas como crianças fumantes passivas. Quando comparados os grupos das crianças fumantes passivas com o das não fumantes passivas quanto à presença de sintomas no trato respiratório, encontrou-se diferença significativa (p < 0,001). Não foi evidenciada diferença significativa na morbidade respiratória em relação ao número de fumantes no domicílio e quanto ao hábito tabágico. Conclusão: Foi observada uma prevalência de 25,93% de crianças fumantes passivas e houve associação entre o fumo passivo e morbidade respiratória entre as crianças menores de 5 anos.Palavras-chave: sintomas respiratórios, crianças, fumo passivo.

SUMMARY The paper presents the results of a quantitative study of the evolution of the passive construction in English. Some of the syntactic environments studied (e.g., the presence of modifiers before the participle, passivization of indirect or prepositional objects, the passive of 'accusative object' verbs or of verbs with predicative complements) have been used as tests for the syntactic category of the passive participle (Wasow 1977). The relative frequency of these environments (and others, such as coordination) in a selection of texts from different periods provide evidence that the change in the grammar of English cannot be described as the introduction of a new rule forming verbal passives instead of adjectival passives (Lightfoot 1979), but is best explained by a change in the structural description of the passive rule, due to a reformulation of the rule in terms of the notion of internal argument (Williams 1981), instead of the notion of direct, or accusative, object of the active verb. RÉSUMÉ L'article présente ici les resultats d'une étude quantitative de l'évolution de la construction passive en anglais. Certains des environnements syntaxiques considérés (par exemple la présence de modificateurs du participe passé, la passivisation d'objets indirects ou prépositionnels, le passif du sujet de complément infinitifs ou de compléments prédicatifs) ont servis de tests pour la catégorie syntaxique du participe passé passif (Wasow 1977). Das Passiv ist ein charakteristisches morphologisches Merkmal des Wirtschaftsdeutschen. Auch im Wirtschaftstschechischen kommt es häufig vor, wenn ihm hier auch andere Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten entsprechen, wie aktive Formulierungen, Reflexivpassiv oder Modalausdrücke. Der Artikel untersucht das Vorkommen verschiedener Tempora im Passiv, die in beiden Sprachen unterschiedliche Agensangabe sowie die Gründe für die Bevorzugung des Passivs im Deutschen und seiner verschiedenen Äquivalente im Tschechischen. Abschließend wird dem Vorgangs- und dem Zustandspassiv Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet und den Schwierigkeiten bei ihrer Unterscheidung vom Standpunkt des tschechischen Muttersprachlers aus.

INTRODUÇÃO: A entorse de tornozelo é uma das lesões mais comuns em atletas. Uma forma de avaliar a frouxidão ligamentar pode ser através da medida da amplitude passiva dos movimentos de inversão e eversão do pé para estimar a resistência passiva das estruturas capsuloligamentares do tornozelo, o qual pode ser chamado de torque de resistência passiva. Existem poucos estudos que utilizam a avaliação do torque passivo do tornozelo para avaliar a resistência da cápsula e dos ligamentos. OBJETIVO: O objetivo deste estudo foi comparar o torque passivo dos movimentos de inversão e eversão do pé em atletas com e sem história de entorse de tornozelo. MÉTODO: Participaram do estudo 32 atletas de basquetebol e voleibol feminino (16,06 ± 0,8 anos, 67,63 ± 8,17kg, 177,8 ± 6,47cm). Seus tornozelos foram divididos em dois grupos: grupo controle (29), composto por tornozelos sem sintomas, e grupo entorse de tornozelo, composto por tornozelos que sofreram lesão (29). O torque dos movimentos passivos do tornozelo foi registrado por um dinamômetro isocinético, e a atividade dos músculos fibular longo e tibial anterior foi medida por um eletromiógrafo. As atletas realizaram duas repetições do movimento de inversão e eversão, nas velocidades de 5, 10 e 20°/s e, em seguida, o mesmo protocolo foi repetido apenas para o movimento de inversão máxima do pé. RESULTADOS: O torque de resistência passiva durante os movimentos de inversão e eversão do pé foi menor no grupo com entorse do tornozelo. Este grupo também mostrou menor torque durante o movimento de inversão máxima do pé. Não foram observadas diferenças entre o movimento de inversão e eversão. CONCLUSÕES: A entorse de tornozelo leva a um menor torque de resistência passiva, indicando redução da resistência dos ligamentos colaterais do tornozelo e uma frouxidão articular mecânica.

Objetivos: Determinar a prevalência de crianças tabagistas passivas na faixa etária de 7 a 10 anos, sua relação com morbidades respiratórias, bem como os fatores de risco associados a tais morbidades. Método: Realizou-se um estudo transversal, utilizando-se questionários estruturados (nove perguntas fechadas sobre perfil tabágico, doenças respiratórias e escolaridade dos pais) entregues a todas as crianças de 11 escolas da cidade de Diamantina-MG. Resultados: Foram distribuídos 2.108 questionários, retornando 618. Desse total de participantes, 50,3% eram do sexo feminino; 37,6%, tabagistas passivas; 29,0% apresentaram problemas respiratórios, e quanto aos familiares, 48,3% tinham o pai fumante; 29,0%, a mãe, e 22,7%, outro integrante da família. Crianças com pais de menor nível de escolaridade apresentaram 4,5 vezes maior chance de fumo passivo. Conclusão: Verificou-se associação entre prevalência de crianças expostas ao tabagismo ambiental (36,6% de fumantes passivas) e morbidades respiratórias (30,0%), correlação entre baixa escolaridade dos pais e fumo passivo nas crianças.

Zur Problematik des althochdeutschen und mittelhochdeutschen Passivs* Auf der frühesten Entwicklungsstufe, welche durch schriftliche Überlieferung belegt werden kann, d.h. in der althochdeutschen Zeit (Ahd.), wurde das Passiv mit Hilfsverben "sein" (ahd. uuesan/wesan) oder "werden", (ahd. uuerdhan/werdan) und dem Partizip II gebildet. Als altere Variante gilt die wesan-Periphrase; das Hilfsverbum werdan aber hat sich etwas spater, jedoch noch in der vorliterarischen Periode, aus dem urspriinglichen Aspektsystem losgelöst, urn sich im System der Genera Verbi zu integrieren, und hat schon im Althochdeutschen als eines der Hilfsverben zur Bildung des Passivs Fuss gefasst. Studies in shallow waters pointed out that the acoustic wave interference patterns have potential application in a broad range of problems in underwater acoustics such as: passive sonar, active sonar, array processing, time-reverse mirrors and geoacoustic inversion. For shallow waters underwater sound waveguides, the main features of this research is interference pattern or “striations” obtained by means of Frequency-time or Frequency-distance spectrograms. This work aims to characterize these interference pattern or striations related to “invariant” parameter β. The theory is developed based on real underwater waveguide. The present results confirm that the parameter β is frequency dependent and at high frequencies it tends to the unity. In another words, far from the waveguide cut-off frequency the present real waveguides could be treated by an ideal waveguide. Besides, in this approximation it is possible to make source-receiver passive distance predictions based on the related interference pattern.Keywords: underwater acoustic, waveguide, interference pattern.RESUMO. Estudos em águas rasas apontam que os padrões de interferência de ondas acústicas têm aplicação potencial em uma ampla gama de problemas de acústica submarina, tais como: sonar passivo, sonar ativo, processamento de arrays, espelhos de reversão temporal e inversão geoacústica. O foco principal desta pesquisa é o padrão de interferência ou estrias obtidas por meio de espectrogramas e gráficos no plano de Frequências e Distâncias. Este trabalho tem como objetivo caracterizar estes padrões de interferência ou estrias com o parâmetro invariante β. A teoria é desenvolvida com base em um guia de onda real. Os resultados deste estudo confirmam que o parâmetro β é dependente da frequência e, em altas frequências, tende à unidade. Em outras palavras, longe da frequência de corte, o comportamento do guia de onda real é semelhante ao guia de onda ideal. Além disso, nesta aproximação, é possível fazer previsões de distância passiva entre o receptor e a fonte com base no padrão de interferência.Palavras-chave: acústica submarina, guia de ondas, padrão de interferência.

Hydraulic systems, as power sources and transmissions, offer many advantages over electromechanical or purely mechanical counterparts in terms of power density, flexibility, and portability. Many hydraulic systems require touching and contacting the physical environments; and many of these systems are directly controlled by humans. If hydraulic systems are passive, they would be both safer to interact with, and easier for humans to control. In this paper, it is shown that a critical hydraulic component, the directional control valve, is not passive. However, the directional valve, as a one-port or a two-port device can become passive if appropriate spool valve dynamics are imposed. Methods to passify the valve for both first-order and second-order spool dynamics are considered. El objetivo de este artículo es mostrar el proceso de creación de un modelo de predicción para el control de los dispositivos de ventilación pasiva en un clima cálido seco que, mediante un control manual adecuado de los sistemas de ventilación pasiva, logrará una temperatura menor compara- da con la temperatura en ausencia de ventilación en temporada de transición. Este artículo deriva de una investigación realizada en el Posgrado en Humanidades en la Universidad de Sonora. Los conceptos principales son predicción y control: la predicción es la clave del control e, incluso, de la modificación del curso de los acontecimientos. Se utilizó el método de regresión lineal, uno de los métodos de predicción científica más utilizado debido a la amplitud de su adaptabilidad, el cual consiste en un análisis estadístico para estudiar la relación entre variables. El modelo matemático se enfoca en la predicción de temperaturas interiores con base en temperaturas exte- riores. Se desarrolló a partir de la caracterización, por medio de mediciones, del comportamiento térmico de la vivienda estudiada y de las características del clima local. Mediante la correlación lineal y múltiple se desarrollaron fórmulas para predecir la temperatura interior horaria con base en las variables más significativas del exterior. La metodología seguida en esta investigación puede utilizarse para estudios y futura aplicación con el objetivo de lograr un ahorro energético. Esta investigación tiene la particularidad que fue realizada en clima cálido seco en un modelo de vivienda de tamaño real, por lo que puede ser útil para desarrolladores e investigadores.

Im ersten Abschnitt werden die verschiedenen Passivtypen kurz dargestellt. Vom zweiten Teil an liegt der Schwerpunkt auf dem bekommen/erhalten/kriegen-Passiv, gefolgt von einem Überblick über dessen Grammatikalisierung. Die letzten Kapitel widmen sich der Untersuchung einer selbst zusammengestellten Belegsammlung aus dem frühesten bzw. neuesten online zugänglichen Jahrgängen der Zeitung „DIE ZEIT“. Neben der Verwendungshäufigkeit dieses Passivtyps im genannten Zeitraum wird Fragen nach der Art der in der Fügung auftretenden Vollverben, subjektfähigen Dativen, Realisierung des Akkusativobjekts und Agensausdruck nachgegangen. Abstract:

Com o objetivo de avaliar um protocolo de reabilitação em cães submetidos a homoimplante ortotópico tenopatelar conservado em glicerina a 98%, seguido de imobilização rígida temporária da articulação do joelho, oito cães foram distribuídos em dois grupos de igual número, denominados I ou tratados e II ou controle. Após a remoção do aparelho de fixação externa biplanar, os cães do grupo I foram submetidos a terapia física durante 15 dias, que consistiu de hidroterapia, massageamento, movimentação passiva da articulação do joelho, alongamento passivo e exercícios de caminhada. Na avaliação clínica da articulação do joelho e dos tecidos adjacentes, foi observado que os cães do grupo I apresentaram menores rigidez articular e contratura da musculatura da coxa em relação ao grupo II. Decorridos 90 dias de pós-operatório, foi observado que a amplitude de movimento foi maior em extensão no grupo tratado (P<0,01). Quanto à avaliação clínica da marcha, foi verificado que os cães do grupo tratados (n=4) atingiram o grau V (uso funcional do membro), enquanto que, no grupo controle, somente um animal alcançou o mesmo grau. Pode-se concluir que o protocolo fisioterapêutico empregado promove o retorno funcional do membro operado quando comparado com o grupo não tratado. Recomenda-se o emprego da terapia física, compreendida de massagem, hidroterapia, movimentação passiva da articulação, alongamento passivo e exercícios de caminhada em cães submetidos à artroplastia do joelho e à imobilização rígida temporária da mesma articulação.

Passing a vehicle over bumps generates sudden variations in acceleration with effects on passenger comfort. In this paper we aim to model the movement of a vehicle, considering only vertical movements, neglecting the movement of roll and pitch. Based on differential equations that govern dynamic behavior, a simulation model of motion is built in MATLAB, the Simulink® module. Suspensions of the vehicle will be considered as passive and semi-active. Passive and semi-active are still the most common suspensions, although active suspensions have been used lately, with mechanical parameters thatcharacterize suspensions, stiffness and dampers being controlled. The paper analyzes the responses given by the suspensions to the passage over bumps, and how they can be mitigated.

Abstract:

INTRODUÇÃO: Rigidez e flexibilidade são propriedades musculares freqüentemente consideradas como sinônimas na literatura, apesar de apresentarem diferenças com relação as suas definições. OBJETIVO: Investigar a contribuição da medida de flexibilidade dos isquiotibiais para a rigidez passiva deste grupo muscular. MÉTODOS: A rigidez e a flexibilidade foram avaliadas em 33 indivíduos saudáveis. Um dinamômetro isocinético registrava o torque passivo oferecido pelos isquiotibiais durante a extensão passiva do joelho, à velocidade de 5º/s. Durante os testes, foi feita a monitoração da atividade muscular para garantir silêncio eletromiográfico. A inclinação da reta torque x ângulo foi utilizada para determinar a rigidez total dos isquiotibiais. A amplitude de teste foi dividida em três porções para calcular a rigidez do 1º, 2º e 3º terços do movimento angular. A flexibilidade foi avaliada através do ângulo articular do joelho em que o movimento da alavanca foi interrompido pelo examinador ao perceber resistência à movimentação adicional e o participante relatar sensação de desconforto pelo alongamento dos isquiotibiais. Como tratamento estatístico, foram utilizadas análises de regressão simples. RESULTADOS: Análises de regressão demonstraram valores de correlação r = -0,48 (R² = 0,23; p = 0,005), r = -0,54 (R² = 0,29; p = 0,001), r = -0,46 (R² = 0,21; p = 0,007) e r = -0,45 (R² = 0,20; p = 0,008) entre flexibilidade e rigidez passiva total, 1º, 2º e 3º terços, respectivamente. CONCLUSÃO: Apesar de as associações entre as variáveis terem sido significativas, uma percentagem pequena da variabilidade da medida de rigidez passiva pode ser explicada pela flexibilidade. Conclui-se que essas propriedades não são sinônimas e devem ser analisadas de forma independente.

Abstract:

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of multiple sets of repeated-sprint-ability (RSA)-induced fatigue on subsequent passing-skill performance in field hockey players. Methods: A total of 10 elite U-21 (under-21) male field hockey players performed 5 sets of a combination of RSA test (6 × 20 m, 20 s of passive recovery) followed by a 1-min passing-skill test (passing reception with subsequent passes at a predesigned target). Data on fastest sprint time and cumulated sprint time for RSA test; total number of balls played, targeted, and passing accuracy (number of balls targeted/total number of balls played) for passing-skill test; heart rate (HR), blood lactate concentration (BLa), and rating of perceived exertion (RPE) were collected throughout the protocol. Results: RSA performance was significantly impaired from set 1 to set 5 (fastest sprint time +4.1%, P < .001; cumulated sprint time +2.3%, P < .01). For a similar average number of balls played (12.8 [1.4]) during each set, number of balls targeted (−1.7%, P < .05) and passing accuracy (−3.1%, P < .05) decreased up to the third set before reimproving over the last 2 sets. Psychophysiological responses (HR, BLa, and RPE) progressively increased (P < .05) toward protocol cessation. The decrease in passing accuracy with increasing RSA cumulated sprint time was fitted to a 2nd-order polynomial function (r2 = .94, P < .05). Conclusion: Multiple-set RSA-induced fatigue was accompanied by passing-skill adjustment variation, suggesting a complex interaction between physiological and psychological/cognitive function to preserve passing skill under fatigued condition.

Abstract:

The push for greater urban sustainability has increased the urgency of the search for noise mitigation solutions that allow for natural ventilation into buildings. Although a viable active noise control (ANC) solution with up to 10 dB of global attenuation between 100 Hz and 1000 Hz was previously developed for an open window, it had limited low-frequency performance below 300 Hz, owing to the small loudspeakers used. To improve the low-frequency attenuation, four passive radiator-based speakers were affixed around the opening of a top-hung ventilation window. The active control performance between 100 Hz and 700 Hz on a single top-hung window in a full-sized mock-up apartment room was examined. Active attenuation came close to the performance of the passive insulation provided by fully closing the window for expressway traffic and motorbike passing noise types. For a jet aircraft flyby, the performance of active attenuation with the window fully opened was similar to that of passive insulation with fully closed windows. In the case of low-frequency compressor noise, active attenuation’s performance was significantly better than the passive insulation. Overall, between 8 dB and 12 dB of active attenuation was achieved directly in front of the window opening, and up to 10.5 dB of attenuation was achieved across the entire room.

Abstract:

Compliance control is highly relevant to human safety in human–robot interaction (HRI). This paper presents a review of various compliance control techniques. The paper is aimed to provide a good background knowledge for new researchers and highlight the current hot issues in compliance control research. Active compliance, passive compliance, adaptive and reinforcement learning-based compliance control techniques are discussed. This paper provides a comprehensive literature survey of compliance control keeping in view physical human robot interaction (pHRI) e.g., passing an object, such as a cup, between a human and a robot. Compliance control may eventually provide an immediate and effective layer of safety by avoiding pushing, pulling or clamping in pHRI. Emerging areas such as soft robotics, which exploit the deformability of biomaterial as well as hybrid approaches which combine active and passive compliance are also highlighted.
