For many years, hyperparathyroidism, including primary, primarily associated with severe pathology of the osseous system and kidneys, was considered a rare disease. The widespread introduction into the clinical practice of the determination in the blood of calcium, and then parathyroid hormone, and osteodensitometry made it possible to recognize this disease more often and at earlier stages and to treat it more successfully. By now, the specific gravity of mild and asymptomatic forms of hyperparathyroidism has increased from 10-15% in the 1980s to 80%.

Acromegaly is a severe neuroendocrine disease that develops as a result of chronic hypersecretion or an increase in the biological activity of growth hormone (GH). Most cases of the disease are associated with somatotropic pituitary adenoma. Very rarely, acromegaly develops as a result of increased secretion of somatoliberin in the hypothalamus or may be caused by an ectopic tumor secreting GH or somatoliberin.

Low birth weight can occur in response to numerous etiologies that include complications during pregnancy, poor prenatal care, parental smoking, maternal alcohol consumption, or stress. Numerous epidemiological and experimental studies demonstrate that birth weight is inversely associated with blood pressure and coronary heart disease. Review question / Objective: What are the effects of diabetes mellitus on the calcium homeostasis in vascular endothelial cells? -To describe the effects of diabetes on the mechanisms that regulate intracellular calcium; -To describe other molecules/mechanisms that alters intracellular Ca2+ homeostasis. Condition being studied: Diabetes mellitus is a pathology with a high incidence in the population, characterized by an increase in blood glucose. People with diabetes are 2-4 times more likely to suffer from a cardiovascular complication, such as total or partial loss of sight, myocardial infar

Abstract:
Background: Abdominal aortic calcification (AAC) is a prevalent form of vascular calcification associated with adverse cardiovascular outcomes. While previous studies on AAC and cardiovascular risk exist, many have limitations such as small sample sizes and limited clinical significance outcomes. This study aims to prospectively investigate the association between AAC and all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD)-specific mortality rates in a nationally representative sample of adults in the United States, using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Citrus tristeza virus (CTV) has the largest genomes among RNA viruses of plants. The 19,296-nt CTV genome codes for eleven open reading frames (ORFs) and can produce at least 19 protein products ranging in size from 6 to 401 kDa. The complex biology of CTV results in an unusual composition of CTV-specific RNAs in infected plants which includes multiple defective RNAs and mixed infections. The complex structure of CTV populations poses special problems for diagnosis, strain differentiation, and studies of pathogenesis. Introduction. The economic losses associated with disability due to diseases of the circulatory system, as well as the costs of providing medical care to patients suffering from heart and vascular diseases, are increasing annually. The state preventive measures currently being carried out are of a delayed nature. The results of the medical examination of the population of the Russian Federation in recent years (2015-2019) indicate that the incidence of cardiovascular diseases, including hypertension, is at a fairly high level. In the middle of the last century, the Concept of risk factors for
