The most frequent causes of death in the United States and globally are chronic diseases, including heart disease, cancer, lung diseases, and diabetes. Behavioral factors, particularly tobacco use, diet and activity patterns, alcohol consumption, sexual behavior, and avoidable injuries are among the most prominent contributors to mortality. Projections of the global burden of disease for the next two decades include increases in noncommunicable diseases, high rates of tobacco-related deaths, and a dramatic rise in deaths from HIV/AIDS. The enormous damage to human health from cardiovascular disease (CVD) poses significant challenges to both clinicians and public health workers. In most cases, CVDs develop latently; their clinical signs appear at a late stage. Often, patients are unaware of the presence of the disease and die suddenly; it is extremely rare for a doctor to have the opportunity to examine a patient before his cardiovascular system is seriously affected. It follows from this that therapeutic measures alone cannot solve the problem of death from CVD. There is a need to make significant changes in research methods

Abstract:
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cardiovascular diseases (arterial hypertension, coronary heart disease, chronic heart failure) are among the comorbid conditions that mutually aggravate each other. The addition of tuberculosis in this category of patients requires additional efforts from the doctor to improve treatment outcomes. A clinical example of correction of therapy for arterial hypertension and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in a patient with pulmonary tuberculosis is presented.

Summary Introduction: The effectiveness of the treatment of chronic diseases depends on the participation of the patient, influenced by different sociocultural factors, which are not fully recognized by the treatment routine. Objective: To search for some of these factors that hinder or facilitate adherence to treatment and use of healthcare resources, approaching patients with ischemic heart disease. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted using face-to-face interviews. We applied semi-structured questionnaires to 347 individuals and recorded 141 interviews for qualitative analysis. Des

Angina pectoris is not an independent disease, but a syndrome that is a manifestation of ischemic heart disease (IHD). Ischemic artery disease occurs due to insufficient blood supply to the heart muscle and is an acute or chronic heart dysfunction resulting from a relative or absolute decrease in the supply of the myocardium with arterial blood. In more than 90% of cases, the anatomical basis of ischemic heart disease is the lesion of the coronary arteries of the heart. Angina pectoris is a kind of heart signal about oxygen deficiency. The signal is felt in the form of attacks of short-term su

As early survival outcomes have improved, heart failure in children with congenital heart disease (CHD) has become a growing problem. Primary care providers and pediatricians are thus encountering increasing numbers of children with or at-risk for heart failure. Despite medication, many of these children progress to end-stage heart failure and require heart transplant for long-term survival. Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) is increasingly utilized to support this cohort both acutely when recovery is anticipated, and as a bridge to transplant. Studies on genome-wide transcription patterns have shown that many genetic alterations implicated in pheochromocytoma-paraganglioma (P-PGL) syndromes cluster in a common cellular pathway leading to aberrant activation of molecular response to hypoxia in normoxic conditions (the pseudohypoxia hypothesis). Several cases of P-PGL have been reported in patients with cyanotic congenital heart disease (CCHD). Patients affected with CCHD have an increased likelihood of P-PGL compared to those affected with noncyanotic congenital heart disease. One widely supported hypothesis is that chronic hypoxia r
