Abstract:
A two-sector general equilibrium model of economic growth has been developed in conjunction with a political economy model of agricultural pricing policies. These theoretical models were used to both present arguments regarding the impact of economic and political forces on agriculture's share of GDP, as well as to provide guides towards specifying the econometric models. Empirical analysis was performed using two data sets. The first covered 81 countries for the years 1971-1981, but contained no explicit measure of policy. The second covered 22 countries for the years 1985-1989, and contained

A major problem in developmental biology is to understand how the behaviour of individual cells creates reproducible biological shapes. Moreover, the reproducibility of form also happens at the cellular level and cellular patterns are evident in the temporal as well as the spatial scales. Understanding the principles underlying these cellular patterns will contribute to linking the individual cell dynamics to the collective phenomenon of morphogenesis. The relatively flat shape, the absence of cell migration and apoptosis makes the leaf of Arabidopsis thaliana an excellent system to study morp

The importance to learn the design patterns has been de-emphasized as frameworks and complete game engines emerge. In murine embryos, it has been suggested that the first cleavage plane might be related with the embryonic-abembryonic (Em-Ab) axis at the blastocyst stage.
