Abstract:
The paper presents simulation of flight path of a lead ball fired with an arquebus and its penetration process through an armor of heavy cavalry knights of the beginning of the 16th century used during the Battle of Pavia on 24 February, 1525. The mass use of firearms by the footmen against the cavalry decided the result of the battle and started a large deployment of infantry formations armed in firearms. The basic ballistic characteristics of 16th century arquebus necessary for the simulation process are based on historical information. The numerical calculations were used to identify the flying characteristics of the lead ball at the distances securing the penetration of that time horseman’s armour. Penetration capacity of the lead ball through the 16th age horseman armour was estimated by using the finite element method (AUTODYN).

Abstract:
The presented paper aims to create a more affordable way to present culturally-historical objects like paintings, masterpieces, tapestries, objects, artifacts, etc., and make it more accessible to visually impaired or blind people. The State of the Art of the team shows that the already used method received good feedback at the exhibition "Battle of Pavia 1525" in Pavia, Italy, from more than 11 000 people, who take part in exhibition in Italy. This encouraged the team to continue developing the idea. An approach on the base of the Bulgarian patent application named “Tactile graphical tile for visually impaired people” is described. By using innovative methods for 3D digitalization, also by using more accessible and affordable materials for 3D printing the culturally- historical objects can be presented in schools for visually impaired or blind people. By using approaches are shown how can be reduced the time for 3D digitalization. Conclusion and future developments are presented.

Abstract:
This paper offers a contribution to the history of historiography on the University of Pavia. The Author takes into account both the treaties explicitly dealing (since the 18th Century) with the history of the University, but also all the evidence of a historical consciousness about the origins and history of the University; such a historical consciousness started to appear in 1361, when the Visconti Family officially founded the University. Particular attention is paid to the three interpretations about the foundation (origo), which has been attributed to the Lombard Kings, to Charlemagne and to Lothair I. For a long time there was a widespread belief in Europe that the University of Pavia had been founded by Charlemagne, simultaneously with the University of Paris; the creator of this tradition (based on the history of Charlemagne written by Notker the Stammerer) was Barthélemy de Chasseneuz, in 1525. The attribution of the founding to Lothair in 825 is only a recent idea, which has been nourished, with different intentions, by the 19th Century German legal historians who discovered a school of Lombard Law in Pavia (attested since at least the 10th Century) and by the Celebrations held in Pavia in 1925.

Abstract:
This chapter follows up on the previous debate, as the Venetians consider the fate of King Francis, who had been previously captured in a sensational battle at Pavia, where the French army had been overwhelmed. One side of the debate argues that the king of France be set free upon congenial terms, with no attempt made to take advantage of his situation. The other side, on the other hand, argued that this victory must be taken advantage of, and Francis would soon find himself with rather harsh conditions upon which he would be set free: among other things, he was to give up all his claims to Italy, Flanders and Artois, and restore to Charles Burgundy and all the dominions that had been annexed by the French crown in 1477.
