Abstract:
Voice over IP (VoIP) is a set of software and hardware technologies used for making voice calls over the Internet. VoIP has been massively deployed in corporative environments since voice and data network convergence enables unified communication services while reducing costs. The main component of a VoIP network infrastructure is the private branch exchange (PBX). Nowadays, Asterisk is the most widespread PBX deployed within corporations due to its open access technology, along with its modular and flexible design. The configuration of PBX systems usually relies on multiple configuration files composed of a vast number of parameters that may have an impact on the security of the system. Therefore, the setup of such systems tends to be complicated and prone to errors and usually requires highly specialized human intervention. In this research, a diagnosis platform for discovering vulnerabilities and security breaches in the configuration of an Asterisk PBX is presented. The proposed platform performs both reactive and proactive actions in order to reconfigure and harden an Asterisk PBX. Firstly, the platform reacts after certain events by modifying the configuration of the Asterisk PBX in order to mitigate risks. Secondly, the platform performs several on-demand assessments that also reconfigure the Asterisk PBX to improve overall security. Finally, the functionality of the platform is easily extensible and highly customizable. Extensive tests have been carried out to assess the security and performance of the Asterisk PBX when facing attacks. Results show that the security of the platform increases, avoiding performance degradation when using the proposed platform.

Abstract:
Governments and their agencies are often challenged by high cost and flexible telephonic, Web based data services. Emerging technologies, such as those of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) that allow convergent systems where voice and Web technologies can utilize the same network to provide both services, can be used to improve such services. This paper describe VoIP system for the enterprise network (e.g. company, university) that have been developed based on Asterisk which is a kind of open source software to implement IP-PBX system. Through the development and evaluation, we have confirmed that VoIP system based on Asterisk is very powerful as a whole and most PBX functions to be required for the enterprise network can be realized. Interesting findings include that the University of Kufa has a potential to implement the project. By connecting multiple Asterisk servers located in different sites based on IAX2, large scale enterprise network can be developed. Since the software recommended for installation is open source, the project could be used as a source of valuable information by students who specialize in real-time multi-media systems.

Abstract:

Abstract:
VoIP – Voice over IP is becoming an important aspect of communication. With invention of high speed Internet together with mobile phones has made it possible to utilize this highly important technology for voice communication. International calls are now possible with VoIP at compatible rates compared to past. The trend made people develop applications based on VoIP not only for private IP PBX but for subscribed users from all over the world. The dependency in whole technology is its VoIP Server, which is not directly exposed to end users, but if can be compromsed then can affect all the connected users. Looking at increasing popularity of VoIP, attackers are now targeting these VoIP servers for various purposes like stealing information or using service to make free calls. It is always difficult to prevent such attacks but investigation may always help in solving such attacks and preventing future attacks with similar modus operandi. These work focuses on forensic analysis of VoIP server asterisk and discusses important artifacts which can be retrieved from affected VoIP server.

Abstract:
IP-PBX based communication has become a human need in the era of technology. Some researchers design a wireless telecommunication system based on IP PBX using Raspberry Pi. The previous researches have small network coverage and problematic on the ability of the system to support multiple concurrent connections. Based on these problems, these research aims are to expand the coverage area and increase the number of concurrent calls. This study used Asterisk FreePBX for the media configuration of the servers. The clients: laptops and smartphone devices used Linkin and Bria softphone. The testing was conducted in terms of voice and video services in the form of signal strength, CPU performance of servers, and network performance parameters such as delay, jitter, and packet loss. The results obtained that the CPU performance of the servers for seven calls simultaneously is around 16.9% compared with previous research, at an average of 45%. Based on ETSI standards, the measurement of network performance parameters when communicating between clients outperform than previous research. The clients can communicate well up to 390 meters.

Abstract:
In zygotes of almost all animals, it has been believed that only the sperm centrosome acts as the mitotic spindle poles. As first proposed a century ago by Boveri (1887), this uniparental (paternal) inheritance of the centrosome must depend on the selective loss of the maternal centrosomes. To trace the fate and duplicating capacity of all the maternal centrosomes/centrioles, including those cast off into polar bodies, we used two kinds of procedures: (1) suppression of polar body (PB) extrusion and (2) transplantation of PB centro-somes into artificially activated eggs.Gametes used in this study were from the starfish, Asterina pectinifera. Oocyte maturation was induced with 1-methyladenine (Kanatani, 1969). Suppression of PB extrusion and artificial activation were done according to Washitani-Nemoto et al. (1994). Micromanipulation was performed by the method of Saiki & Hamaguchi (1993). Behaviour of the centrosomes was examined by staining with an antibody against α-tubulin, polarisation and differential interference-contrast microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. In starfish oocytes, no centriole duplication occurs in meiosis II, hence each pole of a meiosis II spindle is formed by the splitting of paired centrioles in the inner centrosome of a meiosis I spindle into singles. Eventually, each of a second PB (PB2) and a mature egg inherits only one centriole from a meiosis II spindle (a PB1 inherits a pair of centrioles). So, either PB2 and the mature egg inherit a single centriole (Fig. 1; cf. Sluder et al., 1989; Kato et al., 1990). When mature eggs were artificially activated with the Ca2+-ionophore A23187, a single monaster was formed.

Abstract:
Background:Ixekizumab has demonstrated efficacy in treating signs and symptoms of patients with non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA).1The Assessment of SpondyloArthritis International Society Health Index (ASAS HI) is a composite measure consisting of 17 dichotomous items to assess overall functioning and health in patients with spondyloarthritis.2Objectives:To assess health outcomes using ASAS HI in patients with nr-axSpA treated with ixekizumab (IXE) for 52 weeks.Methods:COAST-X (NCT02757352) was a 52-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo (PBO)-controlled study enrolling adults with an established diagnosis of axSpA (ASAS classification criteria, but not modified New York criteria for sacroiliitis), had Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI) score ≥4, back pain score ≥4, inflammation (sacroiliitis on magnetic resonance imaging [MRI] per ASAS criteria) or an elevated C-reactive protein [CRP] level >5 mg/L), and inadequate response or intolerance to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Patients were randomized 1:1:1 to receive PBO or 80 mg IXE every 4 weeks (Q4W) or every 2 weeks (Q2W). Changing background medications or switching to open-label IXE Q2W, or both, was allowed after week 16 at investigator discretion. Change from baseline in ASAS HI (score 0-17 with higher score indicating worse health) was analyzed using logistic regression analysis at Weeks 0, 4, 8, 16, 36, and 52. For the ASAS HI, the smallest detectable change was calculated as 3.0. Patients having an ASAS HI score ≤5 were defined as being in a good health state.3Comparisons between IXE treatments and PBO were made using logistic regression analysis. Non-responder imputation was used for missing data. Patients who switched to open label IXEQ2W were considered non-responders after they switched. Results:At baseline, ASAS HI scores were similar between the three groups (PBO 9.0 ± 3.7; IXE Q4W 8.6 ± 3.4; IXE Q2W 9.6 ± 3.4). Significantly more patients receiving IXE Q4W versus PBO achieved ASAS HI score ≤5 at Week 16 (p<0.05; Fig. A). From Week 36 to 52, significantly more patients receiving IXE Q4W and Q2W achieved ASAS HI score ≤5 (p<0.05; Fig. A). Significantly more patients receiving IXE Q2W versus PBO achieved a clinically meaningful improvement in ASAS HI score ≥3 at Week 16 (p<0.05; Fig. B). From Week 36 to 52 significantly more patients receiving IXE Q4W and Q2W achieved a clinically meaningful improvement in ASAS HI score ≥3 compared with PBO (p<0.05; Fig. B).Figure.Improvement in ASAS HI scores through Week 52.A: Proportion of patients who achieved an ASAS HI score ≤5 in patients with baseline ASAS HI score >5. B: Proportion of patients who achieved ≥3-point improvement in ASAS HI in patients with baseline ASAS HI score ≥3. ***p<0.001, **p<0.01, *p<0.05 versus PBO. Abstract:
Objectives : Heavy metal contamination and accumulation have a harmful effect on the health of humans and animals and are serious problems worldwide. Currently, various technologies have been used for the treatment of contaminated wastewater, of which adsorption is the most commonly known and economically feasible technology. Many researchers are making attempts to find an effective and easily available adsorbent in terms of cost. In this study, starfish (<i>Asterina pectinifera</i>, SF) derived biochar was prepared and its characteristics were evaluated through various device analyses. After the biochar evaluation, the adsorption capacity was evaluated by conducting batch experiments. Methods : Biochar (Pyrolyzed Starfish at 500℃, PSF500) was produced by pyrolysis at 500℃ for 2 h in anaerobic conditions. Moreover, the characteristics of the surface were evaluated through SEM, TGA, XRD, elemental analysis and FT-IR analysis. In addition, batch experiments using heavy metal contaminated wastewater were conducted.Result and Discussion : In PSF500, CaCO3, Ca(OH)2 and CaCO3 were identified as the main phases by XRD analyses and various functional groups and pores that affect adsorption were observed on the surface of the sample. The batch experiment confirmed that the maximum adsorption was 153.8, 270.3, 434.8, and 147.1 mg/g for Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd, respectively. Also, it was confirmed that all heavy metals fit the similar Pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir model, which are the most suitable models for analyses of inorganic pollutants. After the sorption experiment, XRD and SEM analyses were conducted using the residue of PSF500, and in each sample CuO, Zn5(CO3)2(OH)6, Pb3(OH)2(CO3)2, Cd(OH)2 and CdCO3 were confirmed to be deposited on the surface of the sample. Conclusions : It was confirmed that PSF500 follows the complex mechanism of adsorption and precipitation with respect to heavy metals. Based on the experimental results, PSF500 could be used as an eco-friendly sorbent with CaCO3 as its main ingredient.

Abstract:
The goal of this study was to conduct serosurveillance for tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV)in Mongolia, to isolate TBEV by in vivo methods and determine subtypes of TBEV. Blood samples were collected from 750 domestic animals in Khuvsgul, Selenge, Bulgan and Tuv aimags in 2012. After sample collection, a total of 184 sera were (horse 43, cattle 41, sheep 44, goat 56respectivel) randomly chosen and tested for antibodies against TBEV by c-ELISA and virus neutralization (VN) test. The c-ELISA results showed that 17 serum samples were positive and 25 -suspicious. In order to confirm c-ELISA result all these 42 serum samples were checked with VN test. The result of VN test showed 19/42 positive serum samples. In order to detect of TBEV in Mongolia, Ixodes persulcatus ticks were collected from Eruu sum, Selenge aimag and categorized into pools. Each pool was mixed with sterile PBS and homogenized with asterile mortar and pestle. The homogenate was centrifuged and the collected supernatant was inoculated into baby hamster kidney (BHK-21) cell line. Cytopathic effects (CPE) in the cell line was observed by light microscopy daily. RNA was extracted from supernatant of cells with CPE and confirmed by RT-PCR using specific primer for the Siberian subtype. The present results were indicated that TBEV in Mongolia was belonged to the Siberian subtype.Mongolian Journal of Agricultural Sciences Vol.13(2) 2014: 19-26

Abstract:
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is used for assisted fertilization of equine oocytes. However, not all oocytes cleave after ICSI. Maternal aging deleteriously affects fertility in mares and women, with reduced oocyte quality and success of assisted reproductive technologies. In the oocyte, senescence and cell-programmed death begins after maturation; the extent that maternal age affects these events is unknown. We hypothesised that formation of α/β tubulin asters and f-actin bubbles are associated with aging of the oocyte in vitro and/or aging of the oocyte in vivo, in aged donors. In Exp 1, oocytes were collected from ovaries obtained from an abattoir and matured for 28 h and selected for polar body extrusion (0 h). At 0, 24, and 48 h, oocytes (n = 38 total) were fixed in MTSB-XF and transferred into wash solution with 1% BSA and 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS for immunostaining. For experiment 2, oocytes were collected from preovulatory follicles of mares (9–25 yr) in a clinical ICSI program and injected with sperm from various stallions after extrusion of a polar body. Between 24 to 51 h after ICSI, uncleaved oocytes (n = 52, single cell without evidence of fragmentation or indentation of the oolemma) were fixed. All oocytes were incubated with α/β tubulin and human-anti-centromere antibody-CREST/ACA (1 : 100 each). Following primary incubation, oocytes were washed and incubated with Alexa 488, Alexa 647, Alexa 561-phalloidin, and Hoechst 33258. Images and Z-stacks were acquired on an Olympus IX81 spinning disk confocal microscope. Morphometric and intensity analyses of images were performed using SlideBook software (Denver, CO). Student's t-test, Fisher's exact test, and chi-square analyses were used for statistical comparisons. After aging in vitro (experiment 1), the number of oocytes with tubulin multiasters increased (P < 0.001; 9% at 0 h, 14% at 24 h, 85% at 48 h); however, actin bubbling was observed in only 5/38 (13%) oocytes, with no effect of incubation time. In experiment 2, tubulin multiasters were present in 62% of oocytes that failed to cleave. More multiasters were observed per oocyte from mares ≤13 yr than ≥20 yr (P = 0.03) and fixed at 24 to 28 h than 44 to 51 h (P = 0.04). Actin bubbles were observed in 71% of oocytes that failed to cleave after ICSI, with more actin bubbles in oocytes from mares ≥20 yr than ≤13 yr (P = 0.01) and fixed 44 to 51 h versus 24 to 28 h after ICSI (P = 0.05). The sum intensity and area of the actin bubbles were higher in oocytes fixed at 44 to 51 h than 24 to 28 h (P = 0.01 and P = 0.04). The area occupied by the actin bubbles was larger (P = 0.05) in oocytes from mares ≥20 yr than ≤13 yr. This study demonstrates actin bubbles and tubulin asters are involved in oocyte aging and cytoskeleton remodelling with or without fertilization. Although actin structures were associated with donor age and hours after ICSI, they were not present in unfertilized oocytes aged in vitro. Multiaster formation was associated with cell senescence in oocytes aged in vitro. Although not previously reported for the equine oocyte, multiaster formation appeared to be an initial fertilization event within the oocyte associated with attempted zygote development.

Abstract:
The development of information technology is very dynamic, in particular, actively developing computer networks, which are increasingly used for telephone conversations. Recently, there has been increased interest in IP-telephony technologies, in other words PBX, the use of which can significantly reduce the cost of telephone communication within the company. PBX (Private Branch exchange) is a system of devices that provides automatic connection and support of telephone communication between subscribers of this PBX, who use special end devices — telephones. A virtual PBX is a powerful telephone system that uses an Internet connection as opposed to standard telephone services. A standard PBX is used to transfer calls from the Internet to a public telephone switching network. Virtual PBX can be considered as a more economical version, because no equipment is involved, everything is virtual and hosted by the service provider. Currently, the open communication platform Asterisk occupies almost 85% of the open source PBX market. The Asterisk automatic telephone exchange supports both IP-telephony protocols and traditional communication lines. All basic and advanced PBX functions are supported: voice menu, call recording, call statistics, voicemail, queuing and operator distribution. Video communication is directly supported. The latest versions of Asterisk support call encryption. Asterisk has simple and well-documented interfaces for integration with other systems, making it easy to embed communications in business processes and business applications. There are a large number of various graphical tools for administering Asterisk, both paid and free, among which the most popular is the free WEB interface FreePBX.

Abstract:
A private branch exchange (PBX) is implemented by an Asterisk software. In conjunction with appropriate telecommunication hardware interfaces and network applications, Asterisk is employed to establish and manage the telephone calls between telecommunication endpoints, like customary telephone sets, destinations on the general public switched telephone network (PSTN), and devices or services on voice over internet Protocol (VoIP) networks. A Vocoder may be a system of coders and encoders that is employed to scaleback the bandwidth over the restricted use of bandwidth necessities and restricted capability channels in real time needs. This paper presents Performance of Various VOIP Vocoders using wireshark with Asterisk PBX.

Abstract:
Internet Protocol-based Private Branch Exchange (IP PBX) is needed to interconnect/switch calls between VoIP communication devices in a Local Area Network (LAN). VoIP service can be provided by using IP PBX in data/IP networks that are already provisioned. We conduct this research to evaluate VoIP performances of two IP PBXs using Asterisk and FreeSWITCH. We design an experimental network architecture that is adapted from the hierarchical topology in a Campus Area Network (CAN) at the research location that consists of core switch, distribution switch, and access switch. The two IP PBXs are placed at different locations in the hierarchy of the network topology for investigating the effects of the placement to the VoIP performance. This experimental concept can be used as a base for designing architectures of centralized and distributed IP PBXs in campus network. We measure VoIP performance by evaluating the systems with the Quality of Service (QoS) and the Quality of Experience (QoE) parameters. We also monitor processor and memory consumptions that are used by each VoIP server software when communication takes place. The evaluation was conducted on VoIP system with phone-to-phone scenario in the experimental network that is connected to the active campus network. Our results show that IP PBX placement at different hierarchy of the network topology affects to the VoIP performance particularly on Asterisk IP PBX. The performance of FreeSWITCH IP PBX in terms of QoS and QoE is slightly better than the Asterisk one on average latency/delay, jitter, Mean Opinion Score (MOS), and memory consumption. The values are 41,012 ms, 0,060 ms, 5, 1 % for IP PBX 1, and 41,016 ms, 0,066 ms, 5, 0,5 % for IP PBX 2.

Abstract:
Fertilized Zhikong scallop (Chlamys farreri) eggs were treated with cytochalasin B (CB 0.5 mg/L) at 14–15 min postfertilization to inhibit first polar body formation. The eggs were then stained with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) -anti-α-tubulin and propidium iodide (PI) to examine their microtubule patterns and chromosome, respectively. Fluorescent microscope observations of treated eggs sampled every 2–3 min during meiotic maturation revealed meiotic apparatus assembly and correlated chromosome segregation. In CB-treated groups, meiosis I proceeded normally and produced two groups of dyads, with 19 in each group. Both dyad groups were retained in the eggs as they entered meiosis II. Two, three, or four asters (centrosome with microtubules around it) in meiosis II rearranged the spindle in several patterns: bipolar [24.0 ± 4.1 μm (long axis) × 18.3 ± 4.1 μm (diameter: metaphase plate)], tripolar (18.6 ± 3.9 μm × 9.9 ± 1.3 μm), separated bipolar (18.3 ± 2.8 μm × 11.2 ± 1.8 μm), and other unclassified spindle patterns. Corresponding chromosome segregation, including bipolar (18.9%), tripolar (38.9%), double bipolar (16.5%), and unclassified (25.6%), was observed during meiosis II in CB-treated eggs. The data indicated that chromosome segregation patterns determined by spindle patterns were critically influenced by the number of centrosomes in meiosis II eggs following inhibition of polar body 1 (PB1) formation with CB.
