A novel CNC system for line contact machining is put forward to mill ruled surface efficiently. The motion control card based on FPGA is designed in the system for line contact machining. To meet the complex interpolation requirements of CNC system, NC embedded PC structure is used to improve the performance of the CNC system. Computer input and output program by C + + Builder are operated in DLL with WinIO component, to realize the communication between PC and movement control card. Three interpolation modules are simulated in Quartus II. Simulation result shows that linear interpolation, circular interpolation and complex interpolation function are realized on the motion control card based on FPGA, and the line contact machining can be realized in the CNC system efficiently.

Abstract:
Specific hardware solutions are always faster than programmable architectures. But dedicated architectures have the inherent disadvantage of inflexibility. Changes in the algorithm or extensions of the application are handled easily by programmable architectures. The approach discussed here involves a hardware-software co-design to optimize on performance and programmability. The architecture houses two SHARC processors to aid in parallelizing the image processing algorithms, and a reconfigurable FPGA which may be configured on the fly to execute any of the real-time algorithms as desired. The functional memory would consist of pre-designs (FPGA based) of certain objects, each of which could be used to configure an FPGA to perform a particular function.

Abstract:
For the need of multi-channel simultaneous sampling in the modeling and identification of power system, a portable data acquisition system is introduced. It can sample multi-channel data simultaneously, and also have a mass data storage. The system is composed of data acquisition card and PC processing software. The C8051F410 MCU is the core of the data acquisition unit card. It not only provides multi-channel synchronous sampling, large storage capacity, easy to carry and low cost, but also can run offline, and bidirectional interaction with PC software. The data processing software is programmed by Visual Basic6.0. Its main function is sending sample orders and the sample data processing. It can store and process the sample data, also it can set the sampling parameters of the card. Through actual verification, the system is easy to use and meets the precision of requirement.

Abstract:
This paper examines 45 current electronic and mobile payment systems in developed and developing countries. First, each payment technology was assessed and classified as belonging to one of the several major categories consisting of SMS, WAP, USSD, NFC (RFID), Smart Card, Internet and IVR. Then, a technology prevalence matrix drawn from the previous stage was used as an input for sub-sample factor analyses. SMS, IVR and PC-based payment technologies were found to be more prevalent in developing countries, while smart card appeared most popular in developed countries. This contrast suggests that developing countries may have bypassed some established technologies and leapfrogged to mobile EPS instead. Factor analyses were run for each group and the first factor shows some differences in the main pattern of EPS for developing and developed countries. Mobile and PC-based technologies stand out when compared with NFC and smart card technologies for EPS.

Abstract:
A high-speed data acquisition card using USB 3.0 interface has been designed in order to solve the problem that traditional data acquisition card could not take both data transmission bandwidth and easy connection with PC into account. The data acquisition card controlled the dual-channel 12-bit 20Msps ADC for asynchronous parallel sampling using FPGA as core control module, which made the sampling rate up to 40Msps. The sampled data which was processed by FPGA transferred synchronous from FIFO interface to PC via USB controller. The basic structure of hardware and the basic design method for software and firmware were given in this paper, in which how to use FPGA to realize FIFO was elaborated in detail. The timing simulation of using asynchronous parallel A/D conversion technology and using ADC device of 40Msps sampling rate for FIFO internal data transmission were simulated respectively, thus verified the reliability of asynchronous parallel A/D conversion.

Abstract:
We conducted experiments using unit processes to prove the feasibility of the concept of an environmentally sound Au recovery process from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) using organic aqua regia, i.e., a propylene carbonate (PC) solution containing CuBr2 and KBr. First, the WEEE samples (memory card and mobile phone board) were finely ground. The samples were then carbonized and oxidized to decompose the polymers and oxidize the base metals. The leaching of Au from the oxidized samples was then carried out in a PC solution with 0.2 M of CuBr2 and 0.2 M of KBr over 353–373 K, followed by biphasic separation with sulfuric acid. The dissolved Au in the PC phase was recovered via ascorbic acid reduction. The mass balance of Au in the leaching was investigated. The maximum recovery ratios of Au from the memory card and mobile phone board were 79% and 83%, respectively. The cost of leaching was preliminarily estimated.

Abstract:
A novel control platform for the permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) drive system has been built up based on virtual instrument (VI) and relavant data acquisition card (DAQ) devices. In the traditional control platform, it mostly depends on digital signal processor (DSP), which needs a lot of time to further develop the interface between the personal computer (PC) and operators, and its computational capability is not strong than computer. To overcome these shortages, a novel control platform is presented on the base of one PC, one LabVIEW, and one multifunctional data acquisition card. Firstly, a space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) signal source is executed in the VI. Then in order to improve the precision of control system, the field oriented control (FOC) is proposed for the PMLSM. Finally comprehensive experiments verify with relative simulations.

Abstract:
For the screw’s lead precision dynamic testing needs, the hardware of the design includes two parts: the motion control card and the data acquisition card. We use the motion control card (GT200-SV) as the circular grating and long grating motor controller, and the data acquisition card is consist of FPGA and DSP. FPGA is the core device to realize the synchronous dynamic grating signal and inductive signal data acquisition and DSP is used to realize the function of decoding and communicating to PC by the USB bus protocol. Finally data are evaluated by the software on the computer. The acquisition speed of Screw’s lead precision dynamic detection system can reach 20 KHZ, and it has been successfully applied to a certain type of screw’s lead precision dynamic detection device in a company.

Abstract:
A commercial software package has been used on a personal computer for the conversion of the Anglo-Australian Observatory card library catalogue. The software is sophisticated but has proven to be extremely flexible and easy to use for any library management task. The software is available at three levels; the AAO has the top level which allows for eight different databases on the one system. Each record may contain up to nine pages or screens of information and there is also a thesaurus facility. Although a multi-user system was preferred the cost of the software was out of the question. The flow-chart (Fig 1.) describes how a multi-user system was created from software designed for a single-user PC. The main files have been down-loaded in accession number order onto the VAX 11/780 minicomputer and these may be accessed on any terminal either at the laboratory headquarters at Epping in Sydney or at the telescope site at Coonabarabran 500 kms north-west of Sydney. The ‘read-only’ files can be searched using the VAX edit commands and a VAX sort facility is available for a listing of selected items if required. As a substitute measure this is proving to be most useful. Later when the files are too large and searching becomes slow it may be possible to purchase additional copies of the commercial PC software which allows more sophisticated search procedures.
