This is modification of the Planar Doppler Velocimetry (PDV) technique that allows the measurement of up to three components of the flow velocity across a plane defined by a laser light sheet. This thesis describes the development of a Mach-Zehnder interferometric filter based planar Doppler velocimetry (MZI-PDV) flow measurement technique. The technique uses an entirely new optical system, an unbalanced MZI incorporating glass blocks for wavefront-matching, to replace the iodine cell currently used in conventional PDV. This diploma thesis deals with the theoretical description of interference methods used to measure vibrations, examines main parasitic effects and analyses its contribution to achievable the resolution. In the practical part, it uses several measurements to verify the effects of the level of reflected beam, stand-off distance and speckle noise. It also proposes a practical experiment for measuring dynamic parameters and signal-noise ratio. Results show that, the noise is exponentially dependent on the level of the reflected beam. Este trabalho aborda a trajetória do PFL (Partido da Frente Liberal), desde a sua fundação em 1985 até 2010, quando já sob nova denominação DEM deixou de contar com seus três principais líderes: Jorge Bornhausen, Marco Maciel e Antônio Carlos Magalhães. A tese busca explicar as razões do sucesso do partido, até 2002, e de sua decadência a partir de então. Como principal hipótese, argumenta-se que a conexão com o governo federal foi a causa principal tanto do sucesso quanto da decadência da legenda, desencadeada pela passagem do PFL para a oposição após a vitória do Partido dos Trabalhadores

The PDA is an important technology in clinical medicine. Although PDAs are widely utilized by medical students and residents, older teaching faculty have not readily adopted them. The medical library can position itself as a leader in training patrons to use these devices. A method for trimming surfaces generated as solutions to Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) is presented. The work we present here utilises the 2D parameter space on which the trim curves are defined whose projection on the parametrically represented PDE surface is then trimmed out. To do this we define the trim curves to be a set of boundary conditions which enable us to solve a low order elliptic PDE on the parameter space.
