Fall armyworm (FAW), Spodoptera frugiperda, has posed a serious threat to global food security since its discovery in Africa in 2016. Intercropping peanuts with maize is a very common cultivation practice, which can result in a high possibility of peanut damage by FAW. Our study investigated the feeding behavior, plant part preferences, and damage symptoms of FAW larvae on peanuts throughout the larval period, considering changes in population densities and the passage of time over the number of investigations. Sclerotinia minor Jagger is a major pathogen of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) in North Carolina, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Texas. Economic crops that are hosts to S. minor are seldom grown in rotation with peanut, and the pathogenicity of S. minor to most weed species commonly found in peanut fields is unknown. In September 2000, signs and symptoms of Sclerotinia infection were observed on plants of yellow nutsedge growing in peanut fields in Bertie County, NC. Fluffy white mycelium, water soaked and bleached areas of the leaves were observed on basal portions of plants. Isolations were made from

Seemingly undervalued, peanut leaves are the residues of peanut fields. They contain various kinds of active constituents such as flavonoids, phenolic acids, tannins, and alkaloids, which have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. When combined, the antioxidant power of peanut leaves can be an effective natural solution for pain. Their action occurs by preventing the synthesis of prostaglandins and through receptors to which opioids bind, modulating pain. However, peanut leaves face a tough challenge with respect to their active ingredients, as they are not well absorbed due to solubility a

Peanut (Arachis hypogeae L.) is a legume plant that has high nutritional value. In Indonesia, peanuts as a food source have the potential to be developed. The problem in the peanut farming business is that its production is still low. One of the efforts to increase peanut production is by proper fertilization. The continuous use of inorganic fertilizers causes land damage, so it is necessary to implement a sustainable agricultural system.
