Abstract:
This Master's Thesis deals with the evaluation of e-learning in a banking institution operating in the Czech market. The introduction of e-learning in a banking institution managed to reduce the educational costs. However, the pedagogical effectiveness has not been investigated yet. The aim of this Master's Thesis was to determine whether employees of a banking institution perceive e-learning as an effective method of training and determinate on the basis of their acquired knowledge whether e-learning is an effective method of knowledge transfer. The e-learning effectiveness was investigated using a combination of subjective (questionnaire) and objective (testing) methods of evaluation on 118 employees. The study indicated that employees consider e-learning as an effective learning method and that they acquired a high level of knowledge. However the questionnaire and testing revealed several weaknesses of the current e-learning system, primarily the lack of time for training through e-learning courses and employees cheating during the e-learning course completion. The solution to the mentioned weaknesses could be, shortening, e-learning courses, plus adding a final test (at the end of e-learning courses that currently do not have one), limiting the number of their repetition and ensuring their higher difficulty levels.

Results: In the 2008/2009 season, the monitored runner improved his personal records on 800 m and 300 m tracks compared to the previous season. He has run more kilometers both in total and in individual training indicators. Several deficiencies can be seen among general training indicators, where it is evident that in the 2008/2009 season there was a lower number of days with training load and higher number of days when the runner was limited by sickness or other reasons. After analyzing selected training indicators and the graphic waves of training load among individual cycles within the two training periods, we have come to conclusion that the runner's performance on 800 m track was mostly impacted by the following special training...

The present theoretical-empirical thesis deals with the comparison of three types of interpreting performance assessment: teacher assessment, evaluation by other students in the group (peer assessment) and self-assessment of the student interpreter. The theoretical part is a review of existing literature on general approaches to the different types of assessment, their importance in the acquisition of interpreting skills, recommended methods of interpreting performance assessment and their use in the training of consecutive interpreting. The empirical part of the thesis is a qualitative longitudinal study, involving students of the third and therefore the final year of the bachelor's degree programme in translation- interpreting (intercultural communication). The aim of the thesis is to identify the similarities and differences between different types of assessment and how the assessment developed over the period of the research. The study also examines how the self-assessment and peer evaluation of students studying interpreting only in the English-Czech combination differ from those of students who study interpreting of English in combination with another foreign language, and thus attend twice the number of practical interpretation seminars. Abstract:
The theoretical part of the thesis contains information about the assessment and the specific method of assessment in the art education. The research part is divided into preliminary research and three stages of research - the interview, the observation and questionnaire own experiment and subsequent questioning. In these stages of research I have found information on the experiences and attitudes to assessment in the art education, but also on the whole subject of the art education. The survey was conducted in one class mainstream primary school in a small town in the South Bohemian Region. The work provides interesting information about the current view of pupils and their teachers on the art education and its assessment . The results suggest the need for pupils to be assessed, especially classified and the ability of students to use assessment criteria. Research findings may contribute to the debate regarding the evaluation in art education. They are also useful for the preparation of training teachers in the primary education, improving teaching and can be the basis for more extensive research investigations.

Abstract:
The aims of this Master's thesis are (i) to examine the suitability of using peer-to-peer assessment in teaching writing skills in Czech B1-level courses and (ii) to suggest recommendations for tutors who are considering implementing the method in their Czech classes. The theoretical part is concerned with the description of particular types and forms of assessment and it presents an overview of several studies, focusing on those conducted in the field of ESL teaching. The empirical part focuses on describing the design and execution of the experiment as well as on interpreting its results. The experiment was performed as an intensive online writing course in Czech; the participants were students preparing for a B1-level exam. The investigation aimed at the quality of students' comments and at the implementation degree of their suggestions shows limited effectivity of using peer-to-peer assessment in teaching Czech on B1-level. However, based on the data, the study managed to identify several shortcomings in the way the peer-to-peer assessment method was used and it suggested recomendations for their elimination. If the tutors decide to follow these suggestions this could lead to a more succesful use of the investigated method in teaching.

Abstract:
1 Abstract A theoretical part of the thesis is focused on current changes in the basic concept of Education. An attention is paid mainly to the change of the concept of educational goals and new didactic concept of teaching. In the context of changes with regard to student's evaluation in terms of its function, content and its form, it appears that so far the normal way of evaluation (classification) does not cover all the aspects of educational processes of pupils. For these reasons, there is introduced a verbal evaluation, however, it is not entirely accepted by the general public. This thesis summarizes the two types of evaluations. It also informs about the concept of evaluation in alternative ways and approaches to other pedagogies (Montessori pedagogy, "Step by Step", "Respect and be respected") and their benefits and inspiration for the evaluation of pupils from mainstream schools. The research of the thesis presents factors influencing the manner and form of student's Evaluation in Montessori elementary school. An integral part of the research is a survey results from the parents and teachers, in which the main objective is to obtain the question, what type and form of evaluation best captures the level achieved education of a particular student, or what is the most objective evaluation. Abstract:
The thesis deals with the phenomenon of feedback which the teacher provides to upper primary students in lessons and this feedback's influence on students' motivation to learn. The feedback is regarded from different points of view: as an assessment of students in lessons and as work with an error. The aim of this work is also to describe the mechanism by which teachers provide feedback to pupils in microsphere of tutorial dialogue at school. The object of the research is primarily the character of this feedback; the thesis tries to answer the question what information students receive about their achievement, whether and how this information affects the students' motivation in the classroom. Two, respectively three methods have been combined at the empirical part of the research: observation, an audio recording of lessons and explorative technique of semi-structured interview, which was conducted with students from the lessons. In the following research study all manifestations of teacher's feedback in the teaching situation have been categorized: the method here is the observation of lessons again, an audio recording of the lessons and semi-structured interview. Using the information gathered in the focus discussions with students I try to relate the observed types of teacher's feedback with...
