Abstract:
This thesis suggests a method of how teaching pre-school children to ski. Project "how to teach children skiing with fun" was developed and based on age group characteristics and needs of the child. It also underlines that it is not important to teach the child skiing in a short period of time but to make a firm foundation for all kinds of physical movements that will be needed later for skiing and to create a positive attitude to skiing which in this age group works the best by playing games and having fun. This hypothesis was confirmed by results I gained during verifying my method in practise. Based on the test we can state that this method works very well in practise and the children engoyed it while having lots of fun. Generally, the purpose of this work was fulfilled and the obtained results should be a big asset in a theory of skiing and also in practise.

The practical part contains comparison of three chosen schools: NS Vokovická Praha 6, Montessori class in NS Meteorologická Praha and Montessori class in Tábor. In all these schools the montessori pedagogy principals are being applied. In these schools they work, not only, with original montessori materials, but also with other materials, which fulfill certain standards and also with some that were made by teachers themselves. In NS Vokovická toys are also being used. Despite some differences all of the schools agree on the basic thought: they put the child in the first position just like M. Montessori used to do.

The thesis is mapping the region of Kladno in period of 4 years and is pointing to an increase of school suspension in 2011by about six percent, compared to the average in previous three years. With help of used research methods, interviews and data analysis, we have confirmed and determined a hypothesis, that the most weakened components of children's personalities in Kladno are connected to social maturity, which pointed out self- sufficiency problems and problems with making contacts with peers. At the field of mental maturity we detected speech defects and inability to focus on classwork. Also we concluded that school suspension is more frequently granted to boys. This is pointed out in the theory of Langmeier, J., Krejčířová, D. 2006 and ÚIV. However, the month of birth, which also determines accession to the school, is important. At the end of our thesis, which contains general summary, we highlighted the uncertain areas and we suggested other possible topics, which needs to be further investigated.

Abstract:
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of school maturity in the field of visual and auditory perception and its diagnostics in children in the last year of pre-school education. The theoretical part contains the characteristics of the development of the pre-school child and the conception of pre-primary education, the concepts of school maturity and readiness, risk factors of school failure, deferment of compulsory school attendance, partial functions and deficits of partial functions. Furthermore, the possibilities of diagnostics of phonological and visual perception and other methods of evaluation of the functions, which make the acquisition of school skills successful, are described. Also mentioned is the enrollment of a child into the first grade of elementary school. The objective of the empirical part is to find out whether it is possible to contribute to their maturation by regular stimulation of the partial functions in the field of visual and auditory perception in preschool children, thus improving the readiness of children to enter primary school. The research was carried out in two kindergartens through diagnostic and stimulating material. We predict learning disabilities (Sindelarová, 2016). Methods and tools of primarily quantitative character were used for the survey, incl....

Abstract:
This thesis deals with diagnosing school readiness at enrollment for compulsory school attendance. The paper defines the terms of school readiness, school maturity, enrollment for compulsory school attendance, school attendance postponement and acceptance of the child younger than six years. Another part describes the enrolment process for compulsory education in primary schools in Českobudějovicko. Three goals have been set: how teachers of selected primary schools in Českobudějovicko diagnose school readiness during enrollment for compulsory school attendance, what is their experience with school start postponement and early school starts (before 6 years), and to see if elementary schools cooperate with kindergartens in enrollment for compulsory school attendance. To achieve the goals was used qualitative research, an interrogation method, semi-structured interview technique. Through interviews with selected teachers coming from nine primary schools these objectives have been met. Elementary schools use different methods for diagnosing school maturity, but in most cases they diagnose the child in the fields recommended by literature. They also cooperate with kindergartens in the enrolment process. Experience of their teachers with an additional postponement in enrolment, or with early enrolment...

Abstract:
This thesis focuses on the use of information technologies (ICT) in the development of children from families with low socio-economic background, specifically on the use of the Smart application. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses the specificity of the pre-school age from the perspectives of developmental psychology and social pedagogy. Relatedly, the specificities of upbringing in socially disadvantaged families and their impacts on child development are explored. In the following chapter, information technologies and their effects on child development are thoroughly discussed. The application Smart is then introduced, which is a specific tool designed to support the development of school readiness. The Smart application is then used in the empirical part of the thesis. Finally, at the end of the theoretical part, the diagnostic instrument Isophi is described. This instrument was used to evaluate the children participating in my research. The empirical part of the thesis describes a multiple case study of the development of children from families with low socio-economic...
