ABSTRACT Peeling potato is a process of removing the skin which normally protects the pulp. Since the different types of fruits have different shapes and size hence different machines are to process them. The potato peeling process faces numerous problems of consuming time since it is done manually using sharp objects like knives. This manual method of peeling results in fruit flesh wastage, especially fruit with thin skin, and sometimes makes peeling tiring. Abstract The dry areca nut peeling machine that can peel and shred the husk from the dry areca nut peeling process has not been studied until now. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to conduct design and performance testing of a dry areca nut peeling machine combined with its fiber shredder. The performance testing of this machine was carried out at various rotational speeds of 800, 1000 rpm, and 1200 rpm on the parameters of engine capacity, engine efficiency, and fuel consumption during the test. This study shows that based on the ANOVA test, it was found that the rotational speed of 10

The Umbi teki skin peeling machine is a machine used to assist in the process of making chips. Umbi teki, which will be processed into chips, will go through several processing processes, such as soaking the material with clean water first and then peeling the fiber and skin until it is clean, then roasting until the texture of the seeds starts to soften and then pounded using a hammer, after which it is dried in the sun until it is scorched. One of these production processes is carried out using this peeling machine to peel the skin of the Umbi teki. Factors affecting peeling include engine r

The main material of peeling roller was analysed in this paper, The orthogonal experiment method was used to study the effect of peeling roller’s shape, speed and tilt angle on the corn peeling machine’s performance. The results showed that the material and type of peeling roller has the most significant impact on it. The optimal combination of three factors was A2B3C1: “person shaped” roller-type, 550r/min roller’s speed and 10°peel

A novel cassava peeling machine that operates on the principle of the lathe was designed, fabricated and tested. The unique peeling principle uses a self-loading, self-adjusting single point cutting tool that can follow the contour of the cut cassava tuber sections or sized lots. The single point cutting tool allows the peeler to peel both freshly harvested cassava tubers and cassava tubers that are up to four days old effectively and efficiently. Test results show a peeling efficiency of over 70% for all categories of tubers and a minimal loss of flesh.

World's 50% ginger is produced in India. Presently 2,63,170 MT of ginger is produced from an area of 77,610 ha. Peeling of ginger is a very tedious and time-consuming unit operation. Generally, ginger is peeled with knife or by rubbing against gunny bags or bamboo mats in order to fasten the drying process. Due care is required to avoid the loss of material during peeling. A simple hand operated abrasion type ginger peeler cum polisher was developed for facilitating the peeling and polishing at farm level. Hand-peeling candlenuts requires a lot of time and effort, and it carries a high risk of damaging the candlenut kernels due to uneven impact. This candlenut peeling machine is equipped with a mechanism that reduces seed damage and increases productivity. The machine can be operated manually or semi-automatically and works on the principle of utilizing pressure and friction to break the shell without damaging the seeds inside. In this connection, the sown areas for these crops are increasing, and the main volume of grown cereals is not for animal consumption, but for human consumption. Such a shift in consumption leads to increased requirements for the quality of grain and its processing products.
