Purpose The purpose of this paper is to prepare amphiphilic block copolymers polyethylene adipate-block-polyethylene glycol (PEA-b-PEG)s and study their performance as plasticizers in rotogravure ink formulations. Mest (mesoderm-specific transcript)/Peg1 (paternally expressed gene 1) is an imprinted gene that plays important roles in embryo development, although its biochemical role has not been determined. Ectopic expression of Mest/Peg1 inhibited Wnt-mediated reporter activity by enhancing the ubiquitination of β-catenin. The maturation and plasma membrane localization of the Wnt co-receptor LRP6 [LDLR (low-density lipoprotein receptor)-related protein 6], which are both necessary for Wnt signalling, were blocked by the expression of Mest/Peg1. Initial investigations into the distribution of Peg1 expression have concluded that its mRNA is found exclusively in tissues of mesodermal origin and that expression levels decline substantially after birth. Epigenetic differences between maternally inherited and paternally inherited chromosomes, such as CpG methylation, render the maternal and paternal genome functionally inequivalent, a phenomenon called genomic imprinting. This functional inequivalence is exemplified with imprinted genes, whose expression is parent-of-origin specific. The dosage of imprinted gene expression is disrupted in cells with uniparental disomy (UPD), which is an unequal parental contribution to the genome. It is more complicated than single peg insertion since the interaction of all pegs with their holes need to be considered together. The physics of this class of assembly tasks needs to be analyzed, for us, to develop a fine-motion strategy, or to design devices to solve the insertion problems. In this article, we present the geometric as well as quasi-static analyses of a dual peg-in-hole problem. Insertion of three pegs, arranged in an equilateral triangle, into three holes simultaneously is chosen as an example case. Although a 3 dimensional problem, the small-angle assumption reduces the model to only 3 degrees of freedom: 2 translations in the XY plane and a rotation about the Z axis. The multiple-pegs are viewed as points in a 3 dimensional configuration-space (C-space.) The net force and torque due to contact during chamfer crossing at each point in the C-space are determined. I
