Se muestra una selección de proyectos sobre diseño tipográfico y desarrollo de tipografías, estructurados en la creación de logotipos, tipografías corporativas de importantes firmas, y rediseño de marcas, carteles, contenedores y marcas conmemorativas. Se trata de un estudio transversal de las tareas que conlleva el estudio de las dos vertientes de la tipografía: la creación de tipos y su composición, distribución y uso. Un diseño que se inicia con el planteamiento de la imagen gráfica de una empresa suele terminar con el desarrollo de una tipografía corporativa.

Abstract:
Analysoimme artikkelissamme trollauskampanjaa, joka kohdistui nykytaiteen museo Kiasman ARS17-näyttelyssä esillä olleeseen #ALONETOGETHER-taideteokseen keväällä 2017. Poikkeuksellisen suuria tunteita puolesta ja vastaan herättäneen teoksen luona nähtiin kevään aikana innostuneita museokävijöitä, mutta myös teoksen hengen ja normatiivisen galleriakontekstin ulkopuolelle tarkoituksella jättäytyneitä osallistujia. Taideteoksen luona Kiasmassa vieraili useita ihmisiä, jotka pyrkivät häiritsemään pääasiassa yhtä taiteilijoista, Shia LaBeoufia, jonka kanssa pystyi kommunikoimaan teoksen välityksellä. Lisäksi häirintä näkyi verkossa, osin teoksen verkottuneen muodon ja osin trollien verkkokulttuurisen taustan vuoksi. Suomalaiselta Ylilauta-kuvalaudalta sekä sen kansainväliseltä vastineelta 4chanilta käynnistynyt häirintä kytkeytyi osaksi pidempää teoksen taiteilijoiden ja trollien välistä historiaa, jota tarkastelemme sekä transnationaalisen verkkokulttuurin ilmentymänä että yhdysvaltalaisen äärioikeistolaisen poliittisen alt-right-diskurssin suomalaistuneena versiona. Häirintään käytettiin kuvalautakulttuurille ominaista sanastoa ja kuvastoa, joiden eräänlaisena tiivistymänä voidaan pitää Pepe-sammakkoa, sarjakuvamaista symbolia, johon kiinnittyy trollien poliittisia ja retorisia tavoitteita ja joka toisaalta ilmentää myös trollaukselle ominaista trivialisoivaa lähestymistapaa. Analyysimme keskittyy yhtäältä trollauksen ristiriitaiseen rooliin poliittisesti motivoituneena toimintana ja leikkinä, ja toisaalta yleisöä osallistavan taideteoksen kokemiseen leikillisenä tapahtumana. Tarkastelemme myös, miten taiteilijat, trollit ja museokävijät pyrkivät sääntelemään, kaappaamaan ja muokkaamaan teoksen affektiivisia ulottuvuuksia yrittämällä hallita teoksen leikillistä tilaa. Osoitamme, miten trollauksen ymmärtäminen leikkinä auttaa ymmärtämään tapahtumia erityisesti #ALONETOGETHER-taideteoksen yhteydessä, ja miten trollaus voi olla samaan aikaan sekä leikkisää että poliittista.

Tulisan yang disajikan ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan; (1) asal-usul tarian Pepe-pepeka Ri Makka; (2) Fase Pertunjukan tarian Pepe-Pepeka Ri Makka ; (3) fungsi pertunjukan tarian Pepe-Pepeka Ri Makka dan (4) nilai-nilai budaya yang terdapat dalam pertunjukan tarian Pepe-pepeka Ri Makka. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pengamatan, wawancara, catat, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa; (1) Tarian Pepe-Pepeka Ri Makka berasal dari dari pengaruh budaya Arab yang masuk ke wilayah Makassar dalam menyebarkan agama Islam. (2) Fase pertunjukan tarian Pepe-Pepeka Ri Makka adalah ragam ridoangnga (ragam berdoa), karenanna(religi permainan), dan ju’julu sulona-Ritongko’ (memberi cahaya api dan ucapan syukur). (3) Fungsi pertunjukan tarian Pepe-pepeka adalah sebagai ritual dalam penyebaran agama Islam pada perkembangan terakhir berfungsi sebagai hiburan. ; (4) terdapat beberapa nilai-nilai budaya yang tergambar dari tarian Pepe-Pepeka Ri Makka yaitu nilai filosofis yang terkait dengan konsep pada masyarakat Makassar yaitu salah satu mitologi appak sulapa (empat persegi) yakni , tana (tanah), jekne (air), angin (angin), dan Pepe (api). Dalam syair tari Pepe-pepeka ri Makka, makna yang terkandung di dalamnya sangat dalam terkait dengan penyebaranagama Islam.

Questo elaborato si pone come obiettivo la presentazione di un progetto culturale che ha interessato la ex Caserma Guglielmo Pepe al Lido di Venezia, abbandonata dal 1999 al 2016 e poi riattivata da Biennale Urbana, un’associazione culturale formata da una coppia di architetti urbanisti che ha ne ha ottenuto la concessione di utilizzo dall’Agenzia del Demanio per periodi sempre più lunghi, fino al 2019, quando la gestione dell’immobile è passata alla onlus Fispmed. La concessione demaniale è un modo legale e ufficiale per poter sfruttare uno spazio che in condizioni normali sarebbe rimasto abbandonato e sottoutilizzato, oppure (come spesso accade a Venezia) venduto per farne strutture ricettive per il turismo. Dopo una presentazione generale del contesto veneziano in cui il lavoro dell’associazione Biennale Urbana si inserisce, mi soffermerò sulle dinamiche che si sono venute a creare in un ambiente particolare come quello della Pepe, Quest’ultima, grazie agli sforzi dei suoi membri è diventato il punto di riferimento di un gruppo di persone che hanno lavorato e vissuto insieme, impegnandosi per rendere la ex Caserma Guglielmo Pepe un luogo nuovamente urbano e sociale. Le mi osservazioni sono frutto di due periodi di permanenza al Lido di Venezia: uno da ottobre a dicembre 2018, l’altro a giugno 2019. Nel corso del secondo momento di ricerca ho avuto la possibilità di vedere come gli equilibri del gruppo sono cambiati quando è venuto a mancare il motivo principale per cui si era formato, ovvero il progetto culturale di recupero urbano della Caserma.

Abstract:
El presente trabajo de investigación propone la adaptación del modelo de negocio Family Office, recaudador de fondos de familiares/amigos que deseen invertir su dinero y obtener beneficio económico superior al costo de oportunidad. Asimismo, el objetivo es atender las necesidades de financiamiento de capital de trabajo para los microempresarios, personas naturales. La idea de negocio es colocar créditos a través de la empresa “PePe”, una forma de financiamiento ágil y de confianza; dirigida a microempresarios con poco acceso a fuentes de financiamiento, dispuestos a pagar intereses acorde a su necesidad e inmediatez de la transacción. En el análisis, evidenciamos que existe la oportunidad de generar negocios este segmento debido a su mentalidad emprendedora y a los volúmenes que constituyen este sector, que supera el millón de microempresarios en Lima. Asimismo, la experiencia y conocimiento de los socios en las áreas de Marketing, Recursos Humanos, Banca y Finanzas viabilizan una inversión a cinco años, sustentada en procesos ágiles aceptados por el cliente, gestión de talento humano de alto desempeño y una tasa interna de retorno superior al 50% con un VPN por encima de los 170 mil soles. Es por ello, creemos firmemente que el negocio será rentable considerando la desatención actual del nicho de mercado al que nos dirigimos, además del altísimo potencial y escalabilidad asociada al tamaño del mercado y a la tendencia digital, que crecen constantemente.
The present research project proposes the adaptation of the business model Family office, fundraiser of family / friends who wish to invest their money and obtain an economic benefit higher than the cost of the opportunity. Likewise, the objective is to meet the financing needs of working capital for micro entrepreneurs, natural persons. The business idea is a credit through the company "PePe", an agile and trustworthy form of financing; Directing micro entrepreneurs with little access to funding sources, to the interests of the transaction. In the analysis, we show that there is an opportunity to generate business in this segment due to its entrepreneurial mentality and the volumes that have become this sector, which exceeds one million micro entrepreneurs in Lima. Also, the experience and knowledge of the partners in the areas of Marketing, Human Resources, Banking and Finance through a five-year investment, based on the agile processes accepted by the client, the management of human talent and the rate of return. Greater than 50% with a VPN above 170 thousand soles. That is why we always believe that the business is profitable, the current market market disregard, the future potential and the scalability associated with the size of the market and the digital trend, which are constantly growing.

[EN] ABSTRACT This thesis is divided into three blocks. The first determine the goals and propose a suitable method for this research, establishing a phenomenology and a conceptual framework that develops a set of concepts necessary for the proper approach to the investigation. Such notions come from the Social Sciences as Religion, Theology, Philosophy, Anthropology, Medieval History, Psychoanalysis and Theory of the Image. Mains concepts that allow us to approach the analysis of the works within a historical political and aesthetic context in relation to the main objective of this research: to show that the work of grief can be understood as ontological process in practice and specialy reading of the artworks in general, and specifically in the production of Pepe Espaliú, Juan Muñoz and Doris Salcedo produced between 1989 and 1993. In the second section we develop the fundamental concepts of this research: the body-fragment; the good vampire; grief and melancholy. A set of ideas and notions with a particular historical development in philosophy and visual-literary images in cultural creation. Processing concepts to understand the experience of a fragmentary-contradictory body and the desires in contemporary man. Also the implications and the development of concepts as grief and melancholy in thinking and imagination in the Western. The third part is for the specific analysis of the artworks of Pepe Espaliú, Juan Muñoz and Doris Salcedo in comparison with other artistic, historical and theoretical productions that allow us to open the possibility of grief as sense's structure of these productions. In the final part we add three annexes: Relato de la producción and two conversations with individual theorists: Monserrat Rodriguez Garzo and Jesus Alcaide.
[ES] RESUMEN La tesis se divide en tres bloques principales, en el primero determinamos los objetivos que queremos alcanzar y planteamos un método adecuado para ésta investigación estableciendo una fenomenología y un marco conceptual que desarrolla todo un conjunto de nociones necesarias para el abordaje correcto de la investigación. Dichas nociones provienen de un conjunto de ciencias humanas como la religión, la teología, la filosofía, la antropología, la historial medieval, el psicoanálisis y la teoría de la imagen. Conceptos fundamentales que nos permiten abordar el análisis de las obras dentro de un contexto histórico político y estético en relación al objetivo principal de ésta investigación: demostrar que el trabajo de duelo puede entenderse como proceso ontológico en la práctica y en la lectura de las obras de arte en general, y específicamente en las producciones de Pepe Espaliú, Juan Muñoz y Doris Salcedo producidas entre 1988 y 1993. En el segundo bloque desarrollamos los conceptos fundamentales de ésta investigación: el cuerpo-fragmento, el vampiro bueno, el duelo y la melancolía. Un conjunto de ideas y nociones con un particular desarrollo histórico en la filosofía y en la creación cultural de imágenes plásticas y literarias, tratamiento de conceptos para entender la vivencia fragmentaria y contradictoria del cuerpo y los deseos en el hombre contemporáneo, así como las implicaciones y el desarrollo de los conceptos de duelo y melancolía en el pensamiento y en el imaginario occidental. Abstract:
Il pepe ‘Tsyperifery’ del Madagascar è costituito da una miscela commerciale di diverse varietà di pepe, ad oggi solo parzialmente identificate, che vengono raccolte manualmente dalla popolazione locale tra giugno a settembre. Un sottoprodotto della filiera di produzione del pepe bianco è rappresentato dalle bucce, attualmente non valorizzate. In questo elaborato di tesi, le bucce di pepe ‘Tsyperifery’ sono state sottoposte a tecniche estrattive tradizionali, quali idrodistillazione e distillazione in corrente di vapore, ed innovative, ovvero estrazione con CO2 supercritica. Gli oli essenziali così ottenuti sono stati confrontati in termini di composizione, mediante l’utilizzo della gas cromatografia accoppiata a spettrometria di massa (GC-MS) per la determinazione del profilo in composti volatili. Da questa analisi quali-quantitativa è emerso che i composti della frazione monoterpenica, di cui fanno parte, ad esempio, l’α e β-pinene, l’α e β-fellandrene ed il sabinenene, sono stati individuati in percentuali maggiori nel campione ottenuto da distillazione in corrente di vapore rispetto agli altri estratti e distillati. La frazione sesquiterpenica, che include tra gli altri il β-cariofillene, il germacrene D ed il cubebolo, è risultata, invece, presente in percentuale maggiore nell’estratto supercritico ottenuto a pressione più alta (340 bar). Sia nei distillati che negli estratti è stata evidenziata l’assenza di sostanze antinutrizionali, come safrolo, metileugenolo ed apiolo. Una valutazione olfattiva preliminare, effettuata sulle bucce e grani tal quali nonché sugli oli essenziali, ha permesso di evidenziare alcuni peculiari attributi caratterizzanti ed è stata esaminata la relazione tra la loro composizione ed il profilo sensoriale. Alla luce dei risultati ottenuti, questo lavoro esplorativo di tesi può contribuire ad aprire la strada alla valorizzazione delle bucce di pepe Tsyperifery del Madagascar, un sottoprodotto della lavorazione del pepe bianco.

Abstract:
L’obiettivo di questa tesi è stato volto alla produzione di un olio naturalmente ricco in antiossidanti tipici di due matrici vegetali comunemente usate dai consumatori: olive e pepe. Attraverso la co-frangitura, un processo a basso impatto tecnologico sulle matrici, è stato possibile estrarre composti chimici peculiari della spezia e trasferirli all’olio, ottenendo così due tipologie di olio co-franto: un olio co-franto con grani di pepe decorticati e uno co-franto con grani di pepe non decorticati. La caratterizzazione eseguita a carico degli oli ha interessato l’analisi dei composti volatili trasferiti dal pepe all’olio, tra i quali i più interessanti sono risultati essere il β-pinene, il cariofillene, il δ-3-carene, il β-fellandrene e il limonene, che infatti sono tipici composti d’aroma del pepe. Inoltre, è stata eseguita un’analisi spettrofotometrica al fine di indagare la frazione carotenica (b-carotene), e un’analisi sensoriale descrittiva (olfattiva e visiva), con il fine di indagare, anche sotto questo aspetto, le differenze tra un olio franto da olive tal quali e i due oli co-franti con il pepe. In fase di valutazione sensoriale gli oli co-franti sono stati descritti con sentori di pepe, di legno e con note balsamiche. Attraverso i dati ottenuti si è concluso come l’olio fosse caratterizzato da note sensoriali apprezzabili, sia alla vista che all’olfatto, dovute alla presenza simultanea di composti aromatici del pepe e delle olive; al contempo, si è visto come l’olio ottenuto da co-frangitura con pepe non decorticato, risultasse nettamente più ricco in composti aromatici e in pigmenti carotenici e clorofillici rispetto all’olio co-franto con pepe decorticato, a dimostrazione del fatto che la fase di decorticatura del pepe porta all’eliminazione di una parte in realtà ricca di molecole bioattive, che invece potrebbe costituire un sottoprodotto da valorizzare.

Abstract:
This thesis works to establish a literary theory and cultural studies as a theoretical lens with which we can view harmful emerging pop culture phenomena like the so-called alt right. The premise is supposed in three parts, with the first being a simple introduction to the Pepe character and how he is grounded in literary studies through a comparison of Sherlock Holmes and his early fandom. The second part is a survey of the legacy of Jim Crow and I present the evidence that Pepe is very much Crow’s spiritual successor in their shared preoccupation with white anxiety. The third is a discussion of language in which I bridge the use of memes as language with how that language effectively communicates. Ultimately, Pepe the Frog is able to tap into the pop culture collective through a democratizing of language facilitated by digital spaces on the internet, and his proliferation is made readily viral by the racist language he speaks through ala Jim Crow era anxieties.

Abstract:
Covid19 has brought up physical and mental challenges for all of us. However, this is even more pronounced for those who suffer from psychological pathologies, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). One of the main challenges that parents of children with ASD faced during the pandemic was to plan and structure a daily routine for their kids. The disruption of the routine, together with the difficulty of combining work and the care of the child has resulted in behavioral problems and stress and anxiety for both, parents and children.    This project focused on developing an adaptive robot that helps children with autism to plan and self-manage their day, with the end goal of becoming more independent. With adaptability, agencies, senses, and playfulness at the core of the design, Pepe is meant as a support tool for these children to use along the way. By collecting information from the performance of the kid, it is able to adapt its behavior to the child´s (and parent´s) needs and desires, and therefore progress with the child. It builds upon the principles of Positive Behavioral Support to prevent emotional crises by embracing a long-run negotiation process, by which the child gets gradually closer to the end goal of self-autonomy. Intending to be adapted to the accentuated needs of these children, it combines traditional and computational elements to make the most out of the experience. This project included in-depth user research together with parents and experts, an interdisciplinary design approach, and a prototyping phase in which a prototype was tested with children with ASD.

Abstract:
El objetivo de esta investigación buscó demostrar, a través del discurso publicitario, cómo la cultura se convierte en un recurso de control político. En otras palabras, la campaña propagandística Pepe, El Vivo fue parte de una maquinaria narrativa auspiciada por el Estado-nación de Velasco, que revelaría los modos con que se recurrió a la cultura popular y a los medios masivos de comunicación para sus objetivos de control político. Del mismo modo, es determinar a la ideología como productora de sentido tanto para el sujeto como para sus prácticas culturales. Es decir, es la ideología quien le otorga un significado a este conjunto de valores y prácticas. La tesis posee cuatro partes. La primera parte revisa el marco teórico y conceptual para esta investigación; la segunda revisa el estado de la cuestión, o los estudios críticos de nuestro objeto de estudio, la campaña Pepe, El Vivo; la tercera parte analiza el contexto cultural del periodo analizado, la época del régimen de Velasco Alvarado (1968-1975); y, finalmente, la parte cuatro reflexiona, desde los Estudios Culturales, sobre la campaña Pepe, El Vivo, en un nivel intertextual.

Abstract:
En esta investigación nos ocupamos de estudiar las interpretaciones, por parte de los analistas de la conversación y los participantes alocutores, sobre la imagen pública de un político uruguayo, dentro de comportamientos (des)corteses, lingüísticos y no lingüísticos, en apartados concretos de una entrevista semiformal. La hipótesis es que un análisis de la conversación no es siempre suficiente para interpretar la imagen pública que transmiten los usuarios del lenguaje, ya que las interpretaciones pueden variar según el conocimiento previo de una imagen pública de los interlocutores a pesar de las diferencias socioculturales e ideológicas. El estudio que se lleva a cabo es cualitativo y para la recopilación de información se usan cuestionarios a tres grupos de informantes: analistas conversacionales, uruguayos e hispanohablantes internacionales, estando conformados estos dos últimos grupos por personas de diferentes edades, clases y simpatías ideológicas. Las cuestiones que esta tesis se ocupa de estudiar son: ¿De qué forma se perciben las respuestas y enunciados del político entre los grupos que saben y aquellos que no saben nada sobre el mismo?, ¿de qué manera interpretan la imagen social del político los uruguayos?, ¿se ve afectada esta interpretación por una posible ideología subyacente a los participantes? y por último, ¿coinciden o se diferencian las interpretaciones entre analistas y alocutores? Nuestros resultados muestran que el análisis de un discurso es una tarea multidisciplinaria que precisa llevarse a cabo con mucho cuidado, ya que la imagen pública de un hablante se interpreta de formas variadas por los múltiples interlocutores y observadores, donde tanto el conocimiento previo de la imagen del hablante como las creencias ideológicas son factores fundamentales que afectan la interpretcaión.

Planteamos la indagación en las técnicas digitales y computacionales, mediante la experimentación y el análisis que conforma la práctica artística, centrándonos en el arte generativo y el sonido, estableciendo nuestro foco de interés en la relaciones que se establecen entre lo visual y lo sonoro, llevándolo al terreno subjetivo y reinterpretando su sentido. La instalación interactiva “S/T, serie nature code” y la proyección audiovisual y recitación poética “Travesía”, suponen un primer acercamiento al arte computacional, mezclando propiedades de los distintos medios y técnicas. Nuestra intención es crear relaciones que conecten ideas, que llevadas al ámbito expositivo puedan interactuar con el público, formando parte del proceso de la obra de manera cognitiva y emocional. La instalación “S/T, serie nature code”, realizada a partir de un ejercicio con “Processing”, fue presentada en la Muestra Pam! 16 y en la exposición colectiva “sobresaturados” en el Círculo de Bellas Artes, comisariada por Pepe Miralles. “Travesía” se trata de una propuesta multidisciplinar que fusiona proyección audiovisual y recital poético.
