Abstract:

To determine soluble fibrin in blood of patients with coagulation disorders we produced monoclonal antibodies which distinct fibrin from fibrinogen and other blood constituents. Fibrin-specific monoclonal antibodies were obtained by immunizing mice with the synthetic hexapeptide Leu-Ile-Asp-Gly-Lys-Met which was covalently linked to KLH via its C-terminus.
