Full textMicro and small companies are the main source of economic growth and job creation in Peru. Moreover, the annual increase of the number of micro and small companies creates greater financing needs. The major problem that these companies face is access to credit sources. The problem is that financial institutions, do not make an emphasis on directly impacting this sector, due to the lack of collateral to support their operations. Therefore, this investigation is based on this problem and presents as a solution the creation of an investment fund, capable of covering the needs of short-term financing while using the cessation of credits as a financing vehicle. With this alternative, micro and small companies would be able to finance their working capital needs, rendering up their invoices to this fund and consequently increase their production and sales levels through directly channeling their money into investments that improve the productive activities of their business.

Full textThe small-size companies and microenterprise development entities, also known as Entidades de Desarrollo de la Pequeña y Microempresa (EDPYMES), are private microfinance institutions that started operations in 1994. The Edpymes are subject to the regulation by the Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP (SBS); and are authorized to provide financing related to the development of microenterprises and small-size companies (MYPES). Nowadays, the EDPYMES suffer from a weak competitive position, evidenced by their least share in the Peruvian microfinance market, the fall in their financial indicators, and the change of the development of the MYPES, to consumer loans. This Strategic Plan provides the most relevant strategies to reverse the delicate situation that the EDPYMES are facing, with a projection for its implementation of 10 years. The proposed vision is "to be in 2027, the most recognized system in Latin America, for its high capacity to generate value for its shareholders and for representing the best option of financial entrepreneurship aimed at small and microentrepreneurs." To achieve this desired positive situation, three long-term objectives were formulated, based on eight retained strategies and twelve short-term objectives. The strategic plan formulated is based on the application of ICTs and investment in R&D for the generation of operational efficiencies and improvement of risk management; The development of the productive capacities of the MYPES through the inclusion of clústers of high national potential and the generation of a financial culture, which will conclude with the financial and competitive strengthening of the EDPYMES, and simultaneously will contribute in the development of the Peruvian economy, as a source of employment through the promotion of microenterprises and small-size companies

Full textThis research described the level of implementation of TQM in the footwear industry small businesses in Metropolitan Lima. For this purpose it was used the methodology of the nine factors of the Total Quality Management (TQM) developed by Benzaquen (2013), which consists of a 35-question questionnaire that reflects the current status of the quality in the company, on the basis of the directive perception. Due to the nature of the industry, it was considered only the companies with legal address in Metropolitan Lima and whose invoicing level in the year 2014 was between 150 and 1700 ITU, from this population 68 companies were selected. As a result of the study, it was obtained high average values, both at the general level and in each individual factor of success, which would indicate that there is a high level of implementation of the factors of the TQM from the footwear industry small businesses in Metropolitan Lima. Due to the fact that the selected sample was not representative of the population, the results obtained could not be inferred from the industry as a whole but allowed to describe the level of implementation of TQM in the companies that participated in the investigation.

Bachelor's thesis, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, 2019. http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12404/14653.
Full textThis research arose from the need to know the structure of the supply chain in an SME in the glass and ceramic silk screen printing services sector, with the aim of assessing the processes related to proper supply chain management. Subsequently, a proposal is made to improve the processes in which gaps have been found, according to the Global Supply Chain Forum (GSCF) model. In the diagnosis carried out, it could be known that the company has not been efficient, as it was detected that in the 8 processes proposed by the model mentioned there is no optimum control: Customer Relationship Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Customer Service Management and Demand Management, Order Fulfillment Management and Manufacturing Flow, Product Development and Commercialization Management and Returns Management. Likewise, there was greater knowledge about how the company's relations with the actors participating in the supply chain were being developed, and that the company has not been consolidated in such a way that all the members participating in the chain are integrated, and with it, the lack of coordination of those responsible within CPV, in certain activities, has generated that not all of its processes are integrated. In conclusion, the company did not achieve the maximum score in each of the processes, which would be expected to be obtained if they were complied with based on the Scor rating method. This has been key information for the company, since in the long term it could affect the added value that should be provided to the client.

Full textThis thesis analyzes what are the determinants of the use of credit in commerce formal micro-enterprises in Peru between 2014 and 2016, there have been considered variables at the company level such as size, years of experience, received training in financial topics and geography location, also variables at the driver level such as sex, age and educational level, variables that were chosen after the literature review. For this, I worked with a data pool obtained by appending the National Survey of Enterprise of three years, from 2015 to 2017. Likewise, a logit model was used to estimate the percentage in which the characteristics influence the probabilities of using a loan. The empirical literature reviewed, at the level of Latin America and Peru, suggests that the larger the size of the company, the greater the probabilities of using credit, as well, as that the driver has a higher level of education or that he is a man, these increase probabilities. The results obtained show that the proposed variables are significant at 1%, furthermore, they are consistent to what was indicated in the empirical literature. About the driver variables, it was obtained that when the driver is a man, he is more likely to use credit that when driver is a woman. In addition, when the driver has completed his higher education, he is more likely than one who did not complete his school studies. Regarding the variables of the characteristics of the company, as the level of sales increases, companies will make less use of credit, likewise, credit score influences whether the microenterprise can make use of one.

Full textThis research work, aims to formulate a proposal for the planning and control of utilities in a small company, which is a tourist restaurant in the Department of Cusco, to publicize the importance and the need to make planning in this type of companies; because currently most work with ignorance of these cost tools for decision making. Given the lack of application of these tools in the small companies, the present work is a starting point, to explore guidelines that lead to business growth, in sales volume, since they have high demand products and the supply is reduced, considering that it is a restaurant with 30 tables, but that it obtains a high profitability. It can be constituted as a constructive tool for other small companies, as part of a consultation document, which allows to raise awareness of the need to be complemented with professionalism in cost management. It can also be a starting point for other research work related to costs such as: investment projects for restaurant chains, expansion of plant capacity, among others. The present work takes reference of theoretical bases, on the importance of its application in the company, the data collection, the surveys carried out, in relation to increasing an additional day of attention to the week; of all this, it is concluded that said restaurant, in the case of implementing this plan and control of profits, has to substantially increase its income, reaching a figure of up to S / 1'132,568.00 of additional annual operating income. Full textThe present research entitled "Analysis of the factors that limit the development and growth of small business in Lima, Peru" aimed to analyze that the inadequate organizational structure originated by the occupation of direct relatives in the managerial positions of small business and that the low specialization in niche markets are the determining factors that limit the development and economic growth of small business. As for the research methodology, a qualitative design was approached, whose nature of research was based on grounded theory. The research sample was made to 18 small companies, through their officials were able to establish the interviews and carry out the field work. It was concluded that the occupation of the direct relatives in the management positions of the small company generates a weak organizational structure; however, it is not the only determining factor that limits its development and economic growth. Likewise, the low specialization in niche markets is not the only determining factor in the economic growth of small businesses. It is recommended to strengthen the organizational structure of small enterprises, focus on planning and strategic analysis, establish policies and procedures, train managers on management issues, carry out market studies, hire specialized sales personnel, use management indicators.. In this way, we seek to ensure that the companies analyzed have an improvement in the organizational and business aspects.

Full textFamily businesses represent an important link in the economy of countries around the world, since they are present in the business activity and with it in the generation of employment. Many times the concept of family business is associated with a tiny individual business, even informal, restricted to a couple of spouses, a father and his children or to some founding brothers, which is a mistaken belief, since the reality is that the Family businesses are a great driver in the economy, appreciating that large professional and global organizations are family businesses (Moreno, 2009). Given this importance, it is not surprising that this type of company contributes to the generation of between 35% and 65% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in the member states of the European Union (EU), for example; approximately 40 to 45% of GDP in North America, between 50% and 70% of GDP in Latin America and between 65% and 82% of Asia's GDP. (Reyna, 2011). According to world statistics, family businesses have a fairly low percentage of possibility of overcoming the transition between the first and second generation. The same can be said about the probability of overcoming the transition between the second and third generation. (Salas, 2004). Only 33% of family businesses go to the second generation, 15% to the third and 4% to the fourth. It is estimated that 1.5 million family businesses will disappear in Europe due to lack of preparation of the succession (Cantos, 2006).

Full textThe present Professional Project consists of a strategic plan developed for the company marketer of zippers, LPT ZIPPER SAC Imports, for the years 2017-2022. In order to do this, the method proposed by the renowned Dr. Fernando D'Alessio, director of the Centrum business school, of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, in his book "The strategic process, a management approach", has been followed. The elaboration of a strategic plan requires an in-depth study of the industry to which the company belongs. In the case of LPT ZIPPER SAC, the external and internal analysis of the company, has provided favorable information, such as the forecast of recovery and growth of the sector in the near future; but it has also exposed the threats of the industry, such as a high rivalry of competitors and the high presence of substitute products or new competitors, in addition to the great bargaining power of customers and suppliers of the item Likewise, an internal analysis is required to identify the strengths and weaknesses of LPT ZIPPER. A strength to be highlighted is the high quality of its products; however, being weak to take advantage of the environment and face the threats, does not respond correctly to the demands of the market. Having already seen the context of LPT ZIPPER SAC, the vision, mission, values and code of ethics of the company were defined, because they were not formally established. It has been outlined as vision for the year 2022, that LPT ZIPPER SAC be positioned within the first 5 companies most recognized in the sale of zippers of great quality and diversity of models. To achieve this institutional goal, eight long-term objectives and seven organizational interests have been formulated. Based on them, twenty strategies were formulated, of which sixteen were chosen, and the rest remained as contingency strategies. To achieve the long-term objectives, forty-six short-term objectives have been established, which have been allocated the necessary resources and a budget for the specified period. Finally, a proper implementation of a strategic plan requires a control tool that evaluates the achievement of the objectives: the Scorecard Balance. Each short-term objective has varied indicators, as well as growth projections up to 2022. As a conclusion, it is recognized that this strategic plan poses new challenges for LPT ZIPPER SAC. One of the most important, and that has already begun to take place, is an organizational restructuring that creates a subdivision of the company into two business units: wholesalers and retailers. This and other measures developed in this work will contribute to LPT ZIPPER Imports achieve the vision objectives outlined, achieving not only a sustainable, profitable and attractive survival for its owners, but also, to possess a solid potential that allows him to enter new markets.
