Abstract:
This article's objective is to describe a simplified method for developing and assessing the quality of healthcare-related research questions. This process involved three stages. The objective of the initial phase was to identify and investigate a scientific field. This field would be used to identify outputs such as analysis units, variables, and goals. The objective of the second stage was to formulate structured research questions based on the findings of the first phase. In general, research questions begin with interrogative adverbs (e.g., what and when), auxiliary verbs (e.g., is there and are there), or other auxiliaries (e.g., do, does, and did); followed by nouns nominalized from verbs of research objectives, such as association, correlation, influence, causation, prediction, and application; research variables (e.g., risk factors, efficiency, effectiveness, and safety); and units of measurement (e.g., patients with hypertension and general hospitals). The objective of the third stage was to evaluate the relevance, originality, generalizability, measurability, communicability, resource availability, and ethical considerations of the research questions. By adhering to the proposed streamlined procedure, inexperienced researchers can learn how to compose well-structured research questions with solid scientific value.

Abstract:
This study investigates the difference between the maps of social quality and perceived social quality. Using survey data collected from Peshawar, a prominent city in Pakistan, we compare the general and the perceived maps of social quality drawn from survey respondents based on their stands of income, education, age, and gender. With this comparison, the study conducts the regression analysis about the data to reveal the relations between these factors and draw some policy implications. The analysis contrasting objective and subjective visions of the social quality map may support a constructionist view on social quality and, more essentially, bring our view into the diversity of the perceived maps of social quality in reference to the interests of different social groups in society.

Abstract:
Mobile banking represents an important addition to retail banks’ digital banking channels and a salient tool for servicing both current and future customers. However, given the cybernetic nature of mobile banking, there is a certain degree of uncertainty and perceived risk associated with the use thereof. This uncertainty and perceived risk elevate the importance of trust in fostering mobile banking adoption. The Generation Y cohort, which encompasses today’s youth, represents an important current and future banking segment and their adoption of mobile banking channels could have a significant effect on the cost of servicing members of this cohort. Understanding the factors that positively contribute to the Generation Y cohort’s trust in mobile banking will help retail banks to better market their mobile banking channels to members of this cohort and thereby foster greater adoption of such channels. The study reported in this article considers the influence of the perceived integrity of the bank and the perceived system quality of mobile banking on Generation Y students’ perceived trust in mobile banking in the South African context. Data were gathered from a convenience sample of 334 students registered at three public South African university campuses using a self-administered questionnaire. The gathered data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and bivariate regression analysis. The results of the study suggest that Generation Y students’ perceived integrity of a bank, together with the perceived system quality of mobile banking, has a significant positive influence on their perceived trust in mobile banking.

Abstract:
This research aims to examine the correlations of perceived flow, perceived system quality, perceived information quality and perceived user trust on mobile social networking service (SNS) users’ loyalty. Investigation of correlation between perceived user trust with perceived flow and user loyalty were also performed. Two hundred students were the subjects of a Malaysian university to answer survey questions on their currently chosen mobile social network system. The correlations between perceptual variables on mobile SNS were then analyzed and various causal relations deduced. Research findings indicate both perceived information quality and perceived system quality correlates with perceived flow and perceived users’ trust, which further correlate mobile SNS users’ loyalty. Perceived user trust correlates with perceived flow, and both factors correlates with user loyalty. Perceived flow is regarded as the strongest factor that correlates with users’ loyalty. The paper rounds off with conclusions and an agenda for future research in this area.

Abstract:
This study illustrates how different user groups perceive and evaluate the content quality of Wikipedia articles as compared to entries of a traditional encyclopedia. Therefore, an experimental set-up was used with blinded articles of different topic fields from the German Wikipedia and Brockhaus online, evaluated by experts with different backgrounds (university vs. practice) and by students of the field. The findings showed that the quality of both encyclopedias was assessed similarly (intra-group evaluations), although more faults and mistakes were criticized in the Wikipedia sample. However, the inter-group comparison revealed differences in the groups' quality perceptions. This partly applied to the comparison of the expert groups, and especially to the comparison of expert and (non-expert) student evaluations. Students tended to give better ratings, especially within the Wikipedia sample. Most noticeable, they did not detect any content-related faults in both sets, highlighting that further training is needed to improve their information literacy.

Abstract:
A study was made to investigate ways in which consumers perceive the quality of food products and a model of the quality perception process was developed. Consumers used intrinsic (colour and appearance of product) and extrinsic (price and brand name) factors to determine rating of a product on quality aspects that cannot be evaluated at point of purchase (such as taste). The model was used on 13 foods and a high score for a food quality variable (nutritive value, energy content, additives and sensory quality) indicates that this quality is perceived as important. Energy content of meat, cheese, minced meat, margarine and meat products is perceived as most important indicator of quality. A high score for additives in jams, canned and jarred vegetables indicates that these products are perceived as poor quality. (Abstract retrieved from CAB Abstracts by CABI’s permission)

Abstract:
Quality is considered the most indispensable means to compete in the marketplace for all food companies. Apart from the objective quality concerning the physical – chemical – microbiological characteristics, which links to the concept of food security; the subjective quality concerning the quality as perceived by consumers is utmost important since it links to the concept of consumer demand [1]. This paper proposed a new methodology which aimed to assess the subjective quality as follows: (1) to examine whether consumers could perceive and/or understand the quality criteria used by experts to assess the product quality, and (2) in case consumers could do, to investigate whether these expert criteria related to the consumer-perceived quality. This methodology is based on the traditional conjoint analysis combining with an add-on, the sorting task. Consumers are asked to sort 9 pictures of bananas, and then to rate the pictures according to their perception of the perceived quality presenting on the pictures. The methodology will be illustrated through a case study performed on Vietnamese consumers. The results showed that: (1) consumers could perceive the experts’ quality criteria such as bruise, shape, and color; and (2) the consumer-perceived quality related to these expert quality criteria. In addition, the results also showed that bruise was the most important attribute affect consumer appreciation of quality. For practical application, we expected that this methodology could provide useful information about the subjective quality for those researchers who want to improve the quality based on consumer demand.

How do graduate students perceive the quality of digital education? With considering the characters of postgraduates, this research examined the mediating role of academic self-efficacy and the moderating effect of digital literacy in the basic model. A survey of 1,256 graduate students in the southwestern region of China was conducted, and structural equation modeling and curve fitting were adopted for mechanism analysis. The research found that the level of digitization in higher education institutions affects postgraduate students' perception of academic self-efficacy, which in turn influences their perceived education quality. Furthermore, in digital education within higher education institutions, postgraduate students with high digital literacy perceive higher perceived education quality compared to those with low digital literacy. The relationship between digital technology and postgraduate students' perceived education quality is not linearly increasing, but rather follows a steep and then smooth upward curve.

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the effects of two functional brand qualities, innovativeness, and quality, on the perceived value of the consumers, through the mediating role of two symbolic brand qualities, namely brand experience and brand personality. This research is quantitative by using a purposive sampling technique on a population of undergraduate students from all Universities in Indonesia. The number samples were 200 respondents who are the consumers of Indonesian local brand beauty product “Somethinc”, which was taken through an online questionnaire. The data analysis technique used to test the hypotheses in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method by relying on the AMOS program (IBM SPSS AMOS version 24.0). The main findings of the study demonstrate that there is a positive and significant influence of brand innovativeness on brand personality, perceived quality on brand experience, perceived quality on brand personality, perceived quality on perceived value, brand experience to perceived value, and brand personality to perceived value. From the proposed model, there are two hypotheses that are not accepted, including the relationship between brand innovativeness with brand experience and brand innovativeness with perceived value. Based on the research results, the rejected hypothesis can occur due to the differences in how individuals perceive the benefits of innovation provided by the company. This study also demonstrates that there is a positive role of two symbolic brand qualities in mediating the relationship between brand innovativeness and perceived quality on consumer perceived value.

Abstract:
Today’s organizational information technology (IT) landscape is dominated by ERP systems. These systems are typically known to bring changes within the organization. Past studies have focused on the technical perspective—the idea of integrating organizational information computing needs with change management and system learning. Although ERP systems can carve a new audit landscape requiring auditors to accommodate audit processes, controls, and test when auditing in a post-ERP implementation environment, few studies have discussed the implications. In this paper, the authors examine how perceived post-ERP implementation changes influence perceived audit quality. Using empirical evidence gathered from auditors experienced in a post-ERP implementation audit, the research found that auditor’s perception of changes in an audit due to ERP implementation have significant impacts on the perceived audit quality. Results indicate that perceived ERP-related changes in an audit process increased perceived audit quality whereas decreased substantive testing in auditing ERP implementation had a positive effect on perceived audit quality. However, findings suggest that control risk associated with auditing ERP implementation reduced perceived audit quality.

Abstract:
This study examined peoples' perceptions of their families' quality of life and the factors thought to influence those perceptions. The Perceptual Indicators of Family Life Quality Scale was answered by 391 young adults, 75% of whom reported owning a pet. Findings indicate that persons in two birth-parent families are no more likely to perceive their families as quality families than are persons in other family configurations. The size of the community in which the family resides also does not affect individuals' perceptions of their family life quality, and pet owners do not make significantly different assessments from nonpet owners. Implications focus on the specific interactions within each group, and recommendations are made for further study.

Abstract:
In large-scale international assessments such as the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS), or the Progress in International Reading Study (PISA), research has struggled to find positive associations between the frequency of educational technology use in schools and student achievement. While computer use at home showed a tendency for positive correlations with test scores, computer use in schools did not. Following a different approach, the study reanalyzes PISA 2012 data by combining frequency of use and positive perceptions with regard to educational technology as predictors for student test scores. When controlling for influential sociodemographic factors, results indicate that positive attitudes toward educational technology are associated with higher test scores in the large majority of countries. As positive attitudes are likely to be a result of positive experiences, it seems reasonable to conclude that it might be quality instead of quantity of educational technology use that matters.
