Abstract:
In an cited essay, Hairston (1982) asserts that a revolution is taking place in the teaching of compostition, a revolution she characterizes as involving a basic shift in paradigms with regard to the act of composition. Hairston describes the prevailing view of writing, a view that had its orgins in traditional theories of rhetoric, as one that considers writing a linear process in which writers know what they want to say before they begin to write. The major task of the attends to editing concerns in order to perfect the manuscript. Thus the focus of composition instruction in this paradigm is the product that the writer produces.

Kata kunci: Revolusi yang Ditangguhkan , Shahnon Ahmad, perspektif takmilah Abstract This study looks at Shahnon Ahmad’s Revolusi Yang Ditangguhkan (2011) using the perspective of the takmilah theory. The study aims to uncover the extent to which the writer, in this work, observes the seven principles of takmilah outlined by Shafie Abu Bakar: (1) the principle of godliness as being kamal (perfect), (2) the principle of prophethood as a kamil (perfect) creation, (3) the principle that Islam is akmal (more perfect), (4) the principle of knowledge and literature as being takmilah (perfected), (5) the principle of literature itself as being aesthetic in nature as well as takmilah (perfect and perfecting), (6) the principle that the writer should continually practice istikmal (perfecting) of the self, and (7) the principle that readers should be encouraged to aim for becoming insan kamil (perfect beings). This study reveals the importance of the work–writer–audience relationship in conveying a message to society that is beneficial, for the betterment of the universal ummah. Abstract:
Malcolm Ross was New Zealand’s first official war correspondentand from 1915 until the end of the First World War he provided copy to theNew Zealand press. His journalism has been the subject of recent academicinvestigation, but Ross had another string to his bow—he was an enthusiasticphotographer with the skill to develop his own film ‘in the field’. Itmight therefore be expected that Ross was the ideal war correspondent, anindividual who could not only write the stories, but also potentially illustratethem with photography from the battlefields. Yet by the end of the conflicthis body of photographs was largely unpublished and unrecognised. Thisarticle looks at Ross’s photography and, in an era when media organisationsincreasingly require journalists to be multi-media skilled, asks whether therole of the writer and image-taker are still two different and not necessarilycomplementary skills.

Abstract:
Styles is a writer's own way, the style is the writer himself. Styles regulates the organization of ideas, mountains of work, but, in general, the narrowest concept of style is the use of language. From this point of view, one can say that every writer has his own style. With the help of petro marko, the studios are ready to be used for the classifier and they are energy-intensive. Being the language itself is a creature of the author, it expresses in itself its cultural heritage. Petro marko mimics ordinary talk, introducing and making his own, perfectly perfect, spells, characteristics of spoken language phrases. The language used in the confession is mainly the language of the people. The novel "a four-way name" authored using the spoken language of the village of dhërmi, but also the expression of the literary language, creating words and expressions with ingenuity and subtlety. It is not a novel, "hasta la vista" and "the last city" he also extensively uses spanish, italian or other languages, giving the story a great force of expression and originality, and at the same time approaching the reader even more with the character or story to which it relates.

Abstract:
AbstractStarting sometime in 2008/2009 one expects to be able to take a glimpse at physics at the TeV scale. This will be done through the Large Hadronic Collider (LHC) at CERN, Geneva. It will be a result of an unprecedented coordinated international scientific effort. This chapter is written in 2007. It is essentially inviting disaster to spell out in full detail what the current various theoretical speculations on the physics are, as well motivated as they may seem at this time. What I find of more value is to elaborate on some of the ideas and the motivations behind them. Some may stay with us, some may evolve and some may be discarded as the results of the experiments unfold. When the proton antiproton collider was turned on in the early eighties of the last century at Cern the theoretical ideas were ready to face the experimental results in confidence, a confidence which actually had prevailed. The emphasis was on the tremendous experimental challenges that needed to be overcome in both the production and the detection of the new particles. As far as theory was concerned this was about the physics of the standard model and not about the physics beyond it. The latter part was left safely unchallenged. That situation started changing when the large electron positron (LEP) collider experiments also at Cern were turned on as well the experiments at the Tevatron at Fermilab. Today it is with rather little, scientifically based, theoretical confidence that one is anticipating the outcome of the experiments. It is less the method and foundations that are tested and more the prejudices. It is these which are at the center of this chapter. Some claim to detect over the years an oscilatory behavior in the amount of conservatism expressed by leaders in physics. The generation in whose life time relativity and quantum mechanics were discovered remained non-conservative throughout their life. Some of the latter developed eventually such adventurous ideas as to form as a reaction a much more conservative following generation. The conservative generation perfected the inherited tools and has uncovered and constructed the Standard Model. They themselves were followed by a less conservative generation. The new generation was presented with a seemingly complete description of the known forces. In order to go outside the severe constraints of the Standard Model the new generation has drawn upon some of the more adventurous ideas of the older generation as well as created it own ideas. In a way almost all accepted notions were challenged. In the past such an attitude has led to major discoveries such as relativity and quantum mechanics. In some cases it was carried too far, the discovery of the neutrino was initially missed as energy conservation was temporarily given up.

Abstract:
This chapter documents the making of The Old Maid, the problems and difficulties encountered, and the deepening of the infamous Hopkins-Davis feud. When filming is completed, Hopkins flies to New York and has an affair with the German writer Carl Zuckmayer. Jack Warner casts Paul Muni in We Are Not Alone, but Muni refuses to accept Hopkins as his costar. Warner removes her from the film and a new property is brought to her attention, All This, and Heaven Too. Originally bought for Bette Davis, Hopkins wants it and threatens legal action, so Jack Warner assigns it to her. Critics call Hopkins’s performance in The Old Maid “magnetic” and the casting of Hopkins and Davis is compared to “steel striking steel.” Hopkins reads that Litvak and actress Ann Sheridan are having an affair. Despite her relationship with Carl Zuckmayer, she is furious. Hopkins flies to Reno and files for divorce. There, Hopkins reflects on Michael’s education and sends him to boarding school. In addition, her relationship with her mother is strained and her finances are low.

Abstract:
This introductory chapter briefly sets out the book's claims on utopian writing. The first claim is that the texts examined in this book create perfect worlds. The overarching claim is related: the texts being examine create perfect worlds by refusing or failing to present models of perfect worlds. Here, the chapter argues that efficacy and divisiveness go hand in hand. For the writers discussed in the following chapters, the dissolution of community is the first step toward establishing an alternative to community. A writer responds to the failure of utopia—America in the aftermath of Reconstruction, the Soviet Union in the 1930s, the world under neoliberalism—by devising their own utopian project. The project is precarious. It risks solipsism at one extreme and mere critique at the other. Ultimately, its effects are asymmetrical and highly improbable: a perfect world that cannot be replicated or shared.

Alongside McGahern’s one play, it focusses most on his novel The Dark and how it was influenced by Tolstoy’s last novel, Resurrection.

Abstract:
This chapter presents a case study of how the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program, which is America’s largest continuing education provider of online creative writing and screenwriting courses and services, offers individualized feedback and mentoring to 1,000’s of aspiring and practicing writers worldwide. Writing creatively is singularly private and can be isolating; the Writers’ Program’s 220 annually-offered online courses in fiction writing, memoir, personal essay, children’s literature, playwriting, poetry, publishing, feature film writing, and television writing provide access to in-depth instructor/student, student/student, and student/advisor relationships designed to help meet individual writing goals. Writing education is particularly well-suited for online delivery because writers write: students submit their work in writing; the teacher and fellow students give their feedback in writing. For students, the act of learning to write online reinforces their accountability to create in a disciplined way and allows time to absorb and respond to critiques with reflection. For teachers, e-mentoring requires unusual rigor and preciseness in order to give thoughtful feedback on each piece of creative work, and the 80 professional writers who teach the Writers’ Program online courses employ a range of pedagogical strategies to do so. In addition, the Writers’ Program provides personalized guidance and advice on writing online through its student advisors as well as an array of services, including one-on-one manuscript and script consultations; feature film mentorships for which students sign up monthly and receive “on demand” guidance on their projects; and a first-of-its-kind course limited to six advanced students in which they hold virtual internships at production companies and studios as script readers. The chapter begins with an overview of UCLA Extension and the Writers’ Program’s history, mission, products, services, and managerial structure, and then describes the origins and current status of the Writers’ Program’s online curriculum and educational services. The ways in which writing education comprises a near-perfect match for a virtual delivery system are explored, followed by a discussion of what makes Writers’ Program’s products and services uniquely suited to deliver e-mentoring for a global, mostly post-baccalaureate student body who puts a high premium on results and quality of interaction. The chapter next outlines how clear expectations, course design, lectures and critiquing guidelines ensure successful response to creative work (instructor/student and student/peers), and then focuses on “best practices” techniques and strategies that online Writers’ Program instructors use to shape and deliver critiques, including a common critiquing vocabulary and methodology, use of technological tools to provide sustained, personalized feedback, and ways to cultivate the individual writer’s sense of place in the global literary and entertainment communities. The chapter concludes by addressing technological, pedagogical, and economic challenges and future directions of e-mentoring aspiring creative writers and screenwriters.

After the stress of Old Acquaintance, Hopkins returns to Sutton Place for a rest. She is asked to replace Tallulah Bankhead in the smash Broadway hit The Skin of Our Teeth and begins an affair with writer John Gunther. Shortly after the play ends, she goes into rehearsals for the play The Perfect Marriage, which is a financial but not a critical success, and costar Joyce Van Patten shares her memories of working with Hopkins. Her relationship with Gunther cools as she begins another one with war correspondent Ray Brock. After a brief romance, they marry in Virginia. Hopkins then appears in two plays, St. Lazare’s Pharmacy and Laura, based on the hit film starring Gene Tierney; neither play makes it to Broadway. After a five-day run on her next play, Message for Margaret, Hopkins goes on a successful ten-week road tour with There’s Always Juliet.

Abstract:
This epilogue connects the analysis of time and temporality with a broader perspective on the future direction of the humanities. In 2017, the renowned German writer Juli Zeh published Leere Herzen (Empty Hearts), a dystopian novel that imagines life in postdemocratic Germany and Europe. Zeh's novel does not rank among her highest literary achievements. From a temporal perspective, however, Leere Herzen is an intriguing novel: it places what one might call a “plausible dystopia” within close reach of the disillusioned age. Dystopia no longer designates the final apocalyptic catastrophe that dramatically unfolds in the distant future but rather the gradual erosion of democracy in the here and now. By radically shrinking the temporal gap between now and the future, Zeh's dystopia suspends the future perfect as an enabling perspective that can mobilize preventative action. By contrast to the apocalyptic staging of the tipping point that terminates life on this planet, presentist dystopias envisage the future as unfolding incrementally and cumulatively in the extended present.

Abstract:
This chapter examines Helen Hunt Jackson as an exemplary figure for the Reconstruction generation of American writers. Nurtured on the sympathetic universalism animating the antebellum realism of Harriet Beecher Stowe’s 1852 Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Jackson collided with the limits of this model at the moment of its triumph. A successful novelist and poet, Jackson became, in the 1870s, an activist for Native American rights. Working across a variety of genres—travel writing published in prestigious magazines such as The Century, the legal history A Century of Dishonor, and the novel Ramona—Jackson attempted to supplement sentimental modes of universalist appeal with legal arguments appropriate to the United States in the era of the Fourteenth Amendment and picturesque representational strategies appealing to a generation increasingly interested in racial, regional, and gender difference. Tracing out Jackson’s affiliation with a variety of contemporary writers, including Mark Twain, Albion Tourgée, and Henry James, this chapter shows how these writings engaged her in a generational rebellion against the high political moralism of the prewar generation. The “sentimental fools,” “sentimental tourists,” and “mugwump aesthetes” of postbellum literature rejected and transformed the sentimental tradition in ways that prepared the ground for a literary field defined by the paired ideals of autonomous literary experimentalism and authentic, pluralistic cultural expression. This chapter argues that Ramona, in its attempt to compromise between sentimentalism and the new epistemological and aesthetic particularity, must be read as an allegory of public agency in an age of violent territorial expansion and divided fields of discourse.

Abstract:
Abstract Based on the angular velocity transformation matrix, the paper develops the differential motion equation BKTJBKdωIK/dt=BKTM for a planetary transmission, which is a linearly constrained system. Although the degrees-of-freedom of the system is varying during shift process, the angular velocity transformation matrix BK, whose entries are constans, is only related to engaged clutches and BK can be easily derived from a constant matrix BF by linear transformation. Based on this theory, a computer simulation program of dynamic analysis of a planetary transmission is written, which provides a perfect means for analysis of dynamic behaviour of a transmission at any shifting transients. As an illustration, that of an Allison-WT transmission from 3rd speed to 4th speed is simulated.

Full text
Abstract:
In this paper a non-linear elastic ring is studied by using a method for contact/impact problems. The method is developed for frictional contact, impact and rolling between a two-dimensional hyperelastic body and rigid foundations. The elastic properties of the body are defined by coupling the second Piola-Kirchhoff stress to the Green-Lagrange strain via the Kirchhoff-St. Venant law. The rigid supports are described by smooth functions. By introducing the mean value impulses, these functions are utilized to formulate new contact/impact laws. The support functions appear explicitly in the variational formulation of Signorini, and implicitly in the maximal dissipation principle of Coulomb. A feature of this approach is that no search algorithm is needed. Another feature is that the normal and tangential directions of the supports are well defined. The above constitutive assumptions together with the law of motion, which is written on velocity form, define the governing equations of the system. These are solved by a nonsmooth Newton method. The method is utilized to study the contact pressure between a snap ring and a rigid groove which has the shape of a perfect circle. It is obvious that if the snap ring also has the shape of a perfect circle, then the distribution of the contact pressure will be uneven. An even distribution of the contact pressure is preferable in order to improve function and increase lifetime. The question that is considered in this paper is how the shape of the ring should be designed in order to produce this type of contact pressure.

The deviation of these paths from the perfect circle is categorized as repeatable run-out (RRO) which needs to be tracked. An adaptive RRO following algorithm was developed in [1,2] in order to track the RRO. This algorithm uses models of the closed-loop sensitivity transfer functions, from the feedforward injection points to position error signal (PES), to estimate the feedforward control actions that are needed to track the RRO. The phase difference between these models and the actual transfer functions must be less than 90 degrees, in order to guarantee the convergence of the adaptive RRO following algorithm. The dual-stage actuators’ gains and resonance modes are affected by temperature variations, which in turn affect all closed loop sensitivity transfer functions. As a consequence, the 90-degree criteria may be violated unless these transfer functions are periodically updated. In this paper, the coprime factorizations method has been used to factorize and identify the uncertain part of the model instead of identifying the entire transfer function of the model. Experimental results conducted on a hard disk drive equipped with dual-stage actuation, confirm the effectiveness of the proposed estimation algorithm.

Abstract:
In this article an approach for fully automatic mesh generation for two dimensional fluid structure problems that respect the integrity of the geometrical boundaries is presented. This approach is based on the modified Quadtree method. First, interior quadrants of the solid structure are created as the original Quadtree method. Boundary quadrants of the solid structure are created between the boundary curves and the interior quadrants using a simple projection algorithm. As a result, the problem of cut quadrants of the original modified Quadtree method is eliminated here. Boundary elements of the fluid region are created on the boundary curves using calculated projection points. The use of closed non uniform composite B-spline curves, for a unified representation of boundaries curves, simplifies the projection algorithm. On the other hand using this type of boundaries representation reduces geometrical incompatibilities of the generated mesh and produces a perfect compatibility between boundary elements and finite elements. This method can be extended to problems of three dimensional mesh generation and eliminate all cases of cut octants. An object-oriented prototype program in C++ has been written and application example is presented in this paper. Several algorithms of this method are suitable for an implementation on parallel computers.

Abstract:
Directors of TV programs, commercial programs, etc. usually convey their intentions to actors and production staffs using storyboards. However, it is difficult to perfectly and strictly convey director’s intentions to them since storyboards indicate only moment images of scenes. Directors then need much time to convey their intentions. In order to solve such problems, a system to automatically generate animation storyboards: moving images, have been developed in this study. The system is called “Virtual Studio System”. The system analyzes a scenario written by a director in natural language and automatically creates moving images. The system enables one to easily change the result: moving images, by changing the scenario in natural language. In addition, a method to make facial expressions of characters in the virtual system has been developed. With this system, anyone can easily make and edit animation storyboards representing a scenario.

In ASME 2013 Conference on Information Storage and Processing Systems. American Society of Mechanical Engineers, 2013. http://dx.doi.org/10.1115/isps2013-2883.

Abstract:
The demand of raising recording density for hard disk has increased these years to achieve higher storage capacity of hard disk drive. This promotes the diminution in track size of hard disk nowadays to only hundreds of nanometers. Thus, more precisely-operated and robust actuation system for read/write heads in HDDs has been the research and development focus. Among mechanical contributors, Chang [1] indicated that flexible circuit in HDDs has been found to be a problematic vibration source that can interfere and reduce the operation accuracy of read/write arm. To perfectly eliminate the dynamic responses of flex cable, piezo-electric (PZT) film was adopted by attaching it onto flex cable to achieve the goal of vibration control. When an external electric field is applied to this PZT film, piezoelectricity effect is then taken place which results in induction of mechanical shear force in flex cable. The cable’s vibrations can then be controlled by this mechanism with the additional PZT film on the flex cable. With energized PZT film, this means that flex cable will turn harder and its stiffness will become larger, which makes the dynamic behavior of flex cable becomes an uncertainty. The mechanical model built in previous work [2] then fails to predict the dynamic response of the flex cable. Due to the problems mentioned above, modification for the mechanical model is imperative and it was elaborated by considering the shear effects produced by PZT in this paper. As reported by Kenji Uchino [4], Henno Allik [5] and many other researchers [6–8], finite element methods have been applied to many piezoelectric applications. Piezoelectricity includes electrical and mechanical behaviors of a material. Therefore, the piezoelectric constitutive equations were conducted in this paper to consider this combined electroelastic effects from PZT.

Abstract:
"This research enters into the field of philosophy of law. He investigated it about the positive differentiation of women in legal thought. After defining the assumptions of the concept, such as the necessity to distinguish between formal equality, and real equality, because positive differentiation is a privilege given to the disadvantaged as if it appears to create inequality, and it is formed until it compensates them with the forbidden, which was practiced before and is now practiced. And that positive differentiation is not only concerned with women but also with all other disadvantaged groups, such as minorities, children and the elderly, even if the female component is more visible. So it entered into the global legislative policy, whether in international law or in national law, so would hold international agreements, hold conferences and establish international organizations for that. Positive differentiation is considered a subsidiary legal principle and complementary to the principle of equality and fairness, and for this existence is related to the existence of that principle, and it is known that the principle are not often written in legislation, but the legislator must take them into account when setting legal rules. Positive the positive differentiation as a legal principle that is observed in global legislation, and the legislator in the Kurdistan region of Iraq tried to observe the principle at a time when the federal legislator did not pay much attention to the principle, and this legislative policy in the region is more in line with the global legislative policy, and this is why the Kurdistan legislator tried to repeal or amend federal law Or legislate new laws in implementation of the principle that fall within its powers, so the anti-family violence law is a perfect example of this, which has no parallel in Iraq so far."

Abstract:
The evaluation of the vibration behaviour of turbomachinery installations, where the model of the rotor support structure (foundation or casing) is unknown and the foundation has natural frequencies in or near the operating speed range, is still problematic. An attractive approach for identifying the foundation uses motion measurements of the rotor and the foundation at the bearing supports to indentify the parameters of an equivalent foundation, i.e. one which reproduces similar vibration responses over the operating speed range. Earlier work identified perfectly the modal parameters of a flexibly supported rigid foundation block, a situation involving only the six rigid body modes of the foundation, so that the equations of motion of the foundation could be written with a diagonal mass matrix. However, in practice, foundations such as gas turbine casings have flexural modes in or near the operating speed range, in which case it is unlikely that the foundation mass can be adequately represented by a diagonal mass matrix. Hence, this paper further develops the above identification technique to enable identification of a flexibly supported foundation block which has seven vibration modes in or near the operating speed range. It is shown by numerical experiments that the assumption of a diagonal mass matrix for the foundation does not result in a satisfactory equivalent foundation. On the other hand, when the identification procedure is enhanced to cater for a full symmetric foundation mass matrix, it is possible to identify the modal parameters of an equivalent foundation which, when substituted for the actual foundation of an unbalanced rotor bearing system, satisfactorily reproduces the system unbalance response. This is so even when the ‘measurement’ data used to identify the modal parameters is truncated to two digit accuracy to better represent practical measurement accuracy. It is concluded that the proposed foundation identification technique is likely to be applicable to practical field installations.

Abstract:
Mexico’s Energy Reform has opened up various interesting and unique opportunities for energy infrastructure. A CO2 pipeline project that was recently completed in southern Mexico provides a perfect example of how to breathe new life to deteriorated pipeline infrastructure — infrastructure that would have typically been written off. By coupling a unique pipeline inspection method with a novel lining system, two 28-kilometer (17 mile) pipelines were rehabilitated in record time and in a cost-effective manner. The project consisted of two 12 and 18-inch (300 and 450 millimeters) CO2 transport pipelines that had been out of service for 22 years and that are a central component for a high-profile fertilizer project. Replacing these deteriorated assets with a new transport pipeline was not an option due to time, environmental, permitting and budgetary constraints. The rehabilitated system had to offer a minimum 25-year service life required by the owner. To put this aging infrastructure back into service, it was essential to assess the condition of the pipelines with a high level of accuracy and precision which would allow for the rehabilitation of the pipeline and installation of an interactive liner to extend the system’s serviceable life for a minimum of 25 years. The challenge, however, was that these pipelines were non-piggable by traditional methods. By using a tethered MFL and Caliper ILI solution, the pipelines were each inspected in 13 separate sections with the level of detail necessary to assess the condition and suitability of the rehabilitation strategy selected for the project. Fast-track scheduling constraints required 24-hour data analysis turnaround of reports identifying and discriminating areas of modest and significant corrosion as well as deformations including areas of significant weld slag which could complicate the installation of the liners. Once high-quality data was available, pinpoint repairs were possible with a combination of carbon fiber reinforcement and steel pipe replacement. Afterwards, the pipelines were internally lined with a patented process that effectively provides a double containment system. A grooved liner and the host steel pipe create an annular space that is pressurized with air and remotely monitored. The system is able to detect even a small pressure drop in the annulus that would occur in case the integrity is breached, or a pinhole develops in the steel pipe. With the grooved liner, external repairs can be conducted while the line continues to operate without interrupting CO2 service to the plant. By applying these novel solutions, the rehabilitated pipelines will transport carbon dioxide to a revitalized fertilizer plant in a safe and efficient manner for the next 25 years.

Abstract:
A novel parallelized, automated, predictive imprint cooling model (PAPRICO) was developed for modeling and simulation of combustor liners using a Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) approach. The methodology involves removing the film and effusion cooling jet geometry from the liner while retaining the cooling hole imprints on the liner. The PAPRICO can operate under two modalities, viz., two-sided and one-sided. For the two-sided PAPRICO model, the imprints are kept on the plenum and combustor sides of the liner. For the one-sided PAPRICO model, the imprints are retained only on the combustor side of the liner and there is no need for a plenum. Consequently, the one-sided PAPRICO significantly reduces the size of the mesh when compared with a mesh that resolves the film and effusion cooling holes. The PAPRICO model neither needs a priori knowledge of the cooling flow rates through various combustor liner regions nor specific mesh partitioning. The PAPRICO model uses the one-dimensional adiabatic, calorifically perfect, total energy equation. The total temperature, total pressure, jet angle, jet orientation, and discharge coefficient are needed to determine the imprint mass flow rate, momentum, enthalpy, turbulent kinetic energy, and eddy dissipation rate. These physical quantities are included in the governing equations as volumetric source terms in cells adjacent to the liner on the combustor side. Additionally, the two-sided PAPRICO model integrates the volumetric sources to calculate their corresponding volumetric sinks in the cells adjacent to the liner on the plenum side. The PAPRICO model user-defined subroutines were written in C programming language and linked to the ANSYS Fluent. A Fluent graphical user interface panel was also developed in Scheme language to effectively and conveniently form effusion cooling regions based on jet angle, jet orientation, pattern, and discharge coefficient. The PAPRICO algorithm automatically identifies and computes the jet area, jet diameter, jet centroid, and jet count per cooling region from an arbitrarily partitioned mesh. Jets with concentric patterns, containing multiple jet orientations, can be conveniently grouped into a single imprint zone. A referee combustor liner was simulated using PAPRICO under non-reacting flow conditions. The PAPRICO results were compared with the non-reacting flow results of a resolved geometry containing 1504 cooling jets (with multiple jet sizes, orientations and angles) and 7 dilution jets. The PAPRICO results were also compared with the non-reacting numerical results of the referee combustor liner with prescribed mass and enthalpy source terms. The numerical results were also compared with experimental measurements of mass flow rates through the referee combustor liner. The numerical results clearly conclude that PAPRICO can qualitatively and quantitatively emulate the local turbulent flow field with only one third of the mesh of that which resolves the effusion cooling jets. The simulations with prescribed mass and enthalpy sources fail to emulate the local turbulent flow field. The PAPRICO model can predict the relative flow rates through the various regions in the liner based on comparisons with measurements.
