Clusters of workstations are becoming increasingly popular as a low-budget alternative for supercomputing power. In these systems,message-passing is often used to allow the separate nodes to act as a single computing machine. Programmers of such systems face a daunting challenge in understanding the performance bottlenecks of their applications. This is largely due to the vast amount of performance data that is collected, and the time and expertise necessary to use traditional parallel performance tools to analyze that data. The goal of this project is to increase the level of performance tool

Understanding iterative behavior of the computation can be very useful to fine-tune it. Abstract:
The Collaborative Contrabass project is a multi-faceted exploration of double bass chamber music encompassing musicological research, performance and reflexive practice. The intention of this research is to provide a deeper understanding of the role that the double bass has played in chamber music since the eighteenth century and the challenges this repertoire presents for the performer. Its wider aim is to promote the double bass as a collaborative instrument and encourage the double bass community to embrace a wider range of chamber music repertoire. Abstract:
High Performance Computing (HPC) has become an indispensable tool for the scientific community to perform simulations on models whose complexity would exceed the limits of a standard computer. An unfortunate trend concerning HPC systems is that their power consumption under high-demanding workloads increases. To counter this trend, hardware vendors have implemented power saving mechanisms in recent years, which has increased the variability in power demands of single nodes. These capabilities provide an opportunity to increase the energy efficiency of HPC applications. To utilize these hardwar
