PTCL-U represents approximately 12–15% of lymphomas in the Western population. The disease has a five-year overall survival of about 30%. PTCL-U is currently an amalgam of T-cell lymphomas

Background: Alopecia areata (AA) and androgenic alopecia (AGA) are the most common types of alopecias. Recently, the role of mast cells in inflammatory diseases has become the focus of many studies. However, few studies have been conducted on their role in AA and AGA. Therefore, our study aimed to quantitatively evaluate the presence of mast cells in the AA and AGA specimens.Materials and Methods: Three groups of AA, AGA, and healthy control were studied (each group with 20 subjects). Abstract:
Although the intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) is recognized for its pivotal role in inflammation and immune responses, its role in developmental systems, such as the cyclic growth (anagen) and regression (catagen) of the hair follicle, remains to be explored. Here we demonstrate that ICAM-1 expression in murine skin is even more widespread and more developmentally regulated than was previously believed. In addition to endothelial cells, selected epidermal and follicular keratinocyte subpopulations, as well as interfollicular fibroblasts, express ICAM-1. Murine hair follicles express

Abstract:
In our case report, we discuss a 1-day-old boy presenting with blueberry muffin syndrome diagnosed with Langerhans cell histiocytosis. The diagnosis complicated by an initial difficult-to-interpret biopsy showing only a hint of perifollicular CD1a-positive cells; however, given our team’s strong clinical suspicion of Langerhans cell histiocytosis, a second biopsy of a more mature lesion was done and showed typical histopathology. This case introduces the possibility of perifollicular Langerhans cells early in this condition, demonstrates the importance of appropriate biopsy site selection, and
