Subjetividad, biopolítica y educación: una lectura desde el dispositivo es un libro cuya estructura ha sido definida en cinco capítulos y un colorario, articulados a través del pensamiento denominado por algunos posestructuralista. Se constituye en un esfuerzo por hacer visibles aspectos teóricos del dispositivo como concepto, y propone asumirlo como un elemento metodológico que, por un lado, permite analizar lo social desde un referente crítico y reflexivo y, por el otro, reconoce la historicidad del sujeto. En este sentido, se evidencia la condición actual del mundo ante la constitución de subjetividades, y como resultado de ello, se develan nuevos interrogantes. Este libro es el resultado de las investigaciones ''Análisis de los discursos gubernamentales en educación superior como lugar de producción de la subjetividad actual, 1991-2005, realizada en el 2009; Universidad colombiana y sociedad del conocimiento, adelantada en el marco del doctorado en Ciencias Sociales y Humanas de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana en el periodo 2011-2014, y Dispositivos de producción de subjetividades juveniles universitarias, adelantada en el Departamento de Formación Lasallista de la Universidad de La Salle, periodo 2012-2014.

This monograph sums up the results of multidisciplinary scientific research of legal and institutional fundamentals relating to combatting corruption that were obtained within the National plan of combatting corruption for the period 2014–2015. It defines modern concepts of combatting corruption with due account given to new challenges and factors which are conducive to this socially negative phenomenon. The monograph reflects theoretical and methodological rules employed to monitor corruption elements and anticorruption measures, it also provides recommendations relating to the ways and means to liquidating the causes and conditions for corruption. Under consideration are traditional and new technologies of combatting corruption, potentials of legal responsibility for corruption crimes. It also gives recommendations for national anticorruption policy improvements that are based on international law tendencies and positive legal experience of international legislation.
 The thesis of this paper were broadly discussed at international and national science conferences, including the Fourth and the Fifth Eurasian anticorruption forum (Moscow, 2015 and 2016), and also during the sixth session of the Conference of States — members of the UN Convention on counteracting corruption (Saint Petersburg, 2–6 Nov. 2015).
 Theoretical conclusions and practical solutions highlighted in this publication can raise the effectiveness of national anticorruption strategies, give a new impetus to multidisciplinary and scientific studies of the legislation and law enforcement cases, and also get a greater number of people interested in this sphere – practicing lawyers, representatives of business community,
 graduates, and post graduates, legislative bodies, teachers, students, readers who face the problem of overcoming the problem of corruption.

Analizar la filmografía de un país es una forma más de aproximarse a su historia, su cultura y sus problemáticas sociales. Con ese propósito, A ambos lados del Atlántico: películas españolas y brasileñas premiadas recoge diez contribuciones en las que se estudia la trayectoria de las películas que entre los años 2013 y 2017 fueron reconocidas con el más importante galardón de la cinematografía de sus países. La presente investigación estudia los antecedentes, el ingreso, la trayectoria escolar y el egreso de cuatros generaciones de jóvenes alumnas y alumnos del Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades (CCH), cuyo tránsito por nuestro bachillerato está marcado por un periodo anterior a la pandemia, que corresponde a los ciclos 2016 y 2017, mientras que los otros dos, 2018 y 2019, padecieron el confinamiento sanitario, lo cual nos permite hacer una serie de comparaciones para valorar su desempeño académico, la eficiencia terminal y la calidad del egreso.

This book offers a novel perspective on British elections, focusing on the importance of increasing electoral volatility in British elections, and the role of electoral shocks in the context of increasing volatility. It demonstrates how shocks have contributed to the level of electoral volatility, and also which parties have benefited from the ensuing volatility. It follows in the tradition of British Election Study books, providing a comprehensive account of specific election outcomes—the General Elections of 2015 and 2017—and a more general approach to understanding electoral change.We examine five electoral shocks that affected the elections of 2015 and 2017: the rise in EU immigration after 2004, particularly from Eastern Europe; the Global Financial Crisis prior to 2010; the coalition government of the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats between 2010 and 2015; the Scottish Independence Referendum in 2014; and the European Union Referendum in 2016.Our focus on electoral shocks offers an overarching explanation for the volatility in British elections, alongside the long-term trends that have led us to this point. It offers a way to understand the rise and fall of the UK Independence Party (UKIP), Labour’s disappointing 2015 performance and its later unexpected gains, the collapse in support for the Liberal Democrats, the dramatic gains of the Scottish National Party (SNP) in 2015, and the continuing period of tumultuous politics that has followed the EU Referendum and the General Election of 2017. It provides a new way of understanding electoral choice in Britain, and beyond, and a better understanding of the outcomes of recent elections.

This study aims to identify the numbers of drug users in several Arab countries during the first, second, third, and fourth quarters of 2016, 2017, and 2018, according to available official statistics, and to learn the types and quantities of drugs and psychotropic substances seized in Arab countries according to the official statistics available during the first quarter of 2019. The study also seeks to identify the number of users, distributed according to the type of substance abuse during the first quarter of 2019, according to available official statistics. It also seeks to find out the most important treatment and aftercare centers for addicts in some Arab countries. The researcher uses the descriptive-survey method for statistics of some Arab countries on drug abuse and addiction. This study describes cases of abuse and addiction between 2016 and 2019. It reaches a set of results, one of which is that the number of drug users in 2016 reached 46,942 drug users, in 2017 it reached 126,216 drug users, during 2018 it reached 111,351 users, and the number of drug users during the first quarter of 2019 was 30,897 males and 248 females. Among the recommendations the study makes are the following: To prepare periodic Arab reports on the prevalence of drug abuse within Arab countries and the exchange of data and information between those countries To improve mechanisms for obtaining information on drug abuse in the Arab countries • To strengthen cooperation between Arab countries in the field of drug control

This report highlights the technical cooperation undertaken by the Bureau during the period July 2019 through June 2020, within the framework of the 2014–2019 Strategic Plan of the Pan American Health Organization, defined by its Governing Bodies and amended by the Pan American Sanitary Conference in 2017, and the 2020–2025 Strategic Plan of the Pan American Health Organization, defined and approved by the Governing Bodies. This monograph deals with the importance of the components of transport accessibility in the city of Szczecin, north-western Poland, over the period 2009-2018, with particular attention to public transport. The study uses census districts to look at the accessibility of a range of destinations by both public and private (car) means of transport in 2018 and adds three other years, 2009, 2012 and 2015, for public transport alone. The empirical part of the study involved statistical methods and specific points in time in 2018, including date, hour and minute. The specific metrics used for the static data about each destination included: shortest distance, percentage of the population, cumulative accessibility, potential accessibility, potential quotient, and for the final outcome, a synthetic ranking metric with data standardisation. The dynamic part of the empirical research covers the entire study period, i.e. 2009-2018, supplemented by data on single days running from 5:00am to 10:00 pm. For the longer of the periods, the method of potential accessibility to population was used. The choice of methodology involved a review of various GIS tools and their applicability to city-wide accessibility research, including text format data (GTFS) covering several years. Each of the research methods employed was assessed for its impact on the individual components of transport.

This book aims at exploring the logic of political survival in Turkish politics studying the case of the AKP and using evidence from elite interviews, party documents, public speeches, and developments and changes for exploring AKP’s political survival in the chapters. These evidences indicate that there are four independent variables of dependent variable which is AKP’s political survival; -- the legitimization of AKP’s conservatism (2002-2007), AKP’s power struggle with Kemalist elites (2007-2011), AKP’s populism and authoritarianism (2011-2014) and the instrumentalization of Islamism and nationalism under Erdogan’s leadership (2014-2018) -- within the AKP’s four terms. In other words, this research offers a cause-and-effect mechanism between the four different policy approaches of the AKP’s four periods and the AKP’s political survival. Indeed, the AKP has been the most successful political party at the point of ensuring political survival throughout its 16-year rule. In the literature, there are few studies analyzing the 16-year rule of AKP government integrally. As a result of this limitation, the original contribution of this research is that it offers a holistic approach of the AKP government between 2002 and 2018 with using the concept of political survival which is not explored for the AKP case in the literature.

This chapter summarizes the period between the end of the sixth Ṣaʿdah War in February 2010 and the Houthis’ seizure of the capital, Sanaʿa, in September 2014. It discusses the Houthi seizure of power in the Ṣaʿdah governorate and the beginning of the ‘Arab Spring’ and ‘Change Revolution’ in Yemen in 2011, the GCC Initiative, the fall of President Salih and his rapprochement with the Houthis, and the National Dialogue Conference. The Houthis’ conquest of Sanaʿa in September 2014 is the landmark event that closes this chapter.

Este libro es producto de los resultados obtenidos en la primera fase terminada del proyecto y línea de investigación denominada: “Análisis y Desarrollo de Indicadores para Medir el Crimen Económico y Responsabilidad Social Empresarial”, el cual ha sido financiado en su tercer periodo de desarrollo por la Corporación Universitaria Americana durante el periodo enero de 2016 y diciembre de 2018. El trabajo investigativo presentado aquí se basa en la experiencia de aproximadamente 6 años de investigaciones documentales y participaciones de los autores como ponentes en varios congresos internacionales en Latinoamérica, específicamente en: Brasil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile, México y Venezuela. Esto ha permitido intercambiar interesantes puntos de vista con colegas expertos que se relacionan con el tema del crimen económico y la responsabilidad social empresarial, gubernamental y civil. A partir de la experiencia adquirida, el objetivo de los autores en este trabajo fue sintetizar una serie de conceptos técnicos fundamentales sobre el crimen económico y sus principales componentes, con el fin de conformar una sólida taxonomía y metodología para medir las percepciones sobre los diferentes tipos de crimen económico en diferentes países de Latinoamérica, iniciando por Colombia, ello permitirá adaptar y mejorar algunos indicadores que se han estandarizado en el ámbito mundial para medir cualitativa y cuantitativamente las variables del crimen económico entre países, instituciones, sectores y personas. En el capítulo 1 y 2 se inicia con un análisis documental sobre cuáles son las principales variables que se toman en cuenta en la literatura especializada sobre este fenómeno económico negativo que registran las empresas, instituciones y países. Para ello, se partió de una taxonomía de 17 variables que proporcionaron información acerca de Transparencia Internacional (TI) y sobre el lenguaje del crimen económico para determinar ocho categorías o tipologías de crimen económico, a las cuales se les denominó taxonomía. En el capítulo 3 se da a conocer una muestra representativa de algunas de las principales organizaciones que se dedican al estudio y combate de delitos económicos y fraudes. Las primeras instituciones que incluimos por su prestigio y seriedad sobre el tema, fueron: Transparencia Internacional (TI), La Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), Ernst and Young (EY), KPMG y Deloitte and Touche. Además, consideramos datos y reportes del Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) y el Banco Mundial (BM). En los capítulos cuarto, quinto y sexto, analizamos respectivamente el crimen económico desde sus tres perspectivas o niveles: 1.) Por país, 2.) Por empresas, y 3.) Por personas. Por último, en el capítulo séptimo damos unas conclusiones que consideramos nos dan una primera visión para un análisis metodológico y con mayor rigor científico sobre el crimen económico En el capítulo séptimo incluimos las conclusiones finales basadas en el marco teórico sobre la teoría marginalista y teoría behaviorista, que nos permite fundamentar nuestras reflexiones y conclusiones. También adicionamos las ideas de Francis Fukuyama con respecto al concepto de confianza y capital social, que son componentes importantes de la ética y responsabilidad social empresarial. Incluimos además unas ideas sobre la teoría institucionalista que determina en gran medida el comportamiento de un individuo dependiendo del tipo de institución en dónde se desarrolla.

At the time of writing, politics within Scotland and the UK is experiencing a period of uncertainty, with issues such as Brexit, Scottish nationalism, the ‘refugee crisis’ and continued economic insecurity creating a complicated and unprecedented political climate. Scotland, for many, is considered to be expressing a distinctive politics to the rest ofthe UK (Mooney, 2013; McAngus, 2015), with the Scottish National Party (SNP) having strong representation in both the Scottish and UK Parliaments. With regard to the electorate, there is a sense that youngpeople in Scotland have recently become more politicised (Baxter et al., 2015; Hopkins, 2015), with sixteen- and seventeen-year-olds having been given the right to vote in the Scottish parliamentary elections and the 2014 independence referendum. This contests the frequent narrative that young people are politically apathetic (Kimberlee, 2002), and adds to a growing body of work that seeks to examine and unearth the varied and complex ways in which young people engage with political issues (Brookes and Hodkinson, 2008; O’Toole and Gale, 2013; Pilkington and Pollock, 2015).

Este trabalho busca mensurar, para o período 2000-2019, a evolução da produtividade do trabalho setorial em cadeias produtivas. Para tanto, fizemos um exercício de matriz insumo-produto (MIP) a partir das Contas Nacionais Anuais Brasileiras do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (CNAB/IBGE) de 2000 a 2019, que são as atualmente disponíveis. No período analisado como um todo, verificamos uma tendência de estagnação da produtividade, com resultados mais positivos do complexo agroindustrial e menos expressivos do complexo têxtil. Perante o horizonte produtivo da manufatura avançada, que é muito intensiva em capital, a indústria de transformação (IT) ainda não encontrou um novo padrão de crescimento capaz de reverter o trajeto pouco expressivo observado principalmente no período de 2014-2016, de modo a viabilizar a transformação produtiva implícita na manufatura avançada.

Presentamos un nuevo volumen de resúmenes de tesis doctorales, defendidas por los doctores titulados en el período 2014-2015. El posgrado de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata acompaña, con esta iniciativa, las tareas de formación docente, investigación y difusión con las que sostiene un prolongado y muy reconocido compromiso. Puede decirse además, que la presente publicación, instrumenta una instancia de visibilidad mayor para los resultados alcanzados por nuestros investigadores en sus proyectos de investigación doctorales, proyectos que en su conjunto constituyen un indicador general de las orientaciones disciplinares y temáticas en desarrollo en nuestra institución.

This Introductory Note refers to the work of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in 2016. During this period the Tribunal delivered three judgements, two by the Trial Chambers and one by the Appeals Chamber. The judgements of the two Trial Chambers have been appealed. The Šešelj case, in which the Chamber acquitted the accused, was appealed by the prosecutor. The appeals judgements are under the jurisdiction of the Mechanism and will be delivered in 2017 or 2018. There are still pending the Prlić case on appeal and the Mladić case in trial, both under the jurisdiction of the ICTY.

This Land Is My Land traces three periods of conservative rebellion against federal land authority over the last forty years—the Sagebrush Rebellion (1979–1982), the War for the West (1991–2000), and the Patriot Rebellion (2009–2016)—showing how they evolved from a regional rebellion waged by westerners with material interests in federal lands to a national rebellion against the federal administrative state. It explains how Western federal land issues were integrated into national conservative politics, and how federal land issues became inseparably linked to a wide range of constitutional issues, such as freedom of religious expression, private property rights, and gun rights. As a result, federal land issues became flashpoints in conservative status politics and American civil religion, leading to armed standoffs between citizens and federal law enforcement officers in 2014, 2015, and 2016. These conflicts illustrate both the profound challenges in multiple-use management of federal land and the violent potential in American civil religion.

El 10 de noviembre de 2010, la Universidad Nacional de La Plata avanzó en su compromiso con la difusión de las tareas de investigación que se realizan en el ámbito de sus carreras de doctorado. Así, como expresa la Resolución N° 1022 de Presidencia, la Prosecretaría de Posgrado recibe la información básica de las tesis de doctorado defendidas y aprobadas y esta información, compilada y editada, será publicada anualmente por la Editorial de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (EDULP). El volumen que presentamos es, pues, el primero en aparecer. En él se incluyen resúmenes de las tesis de doctores egresados de nuestras carreras de posgrado en el período que corre entre mayo de 2010 y abril de 2011. El volumen inaugura lo que esperamos que constituya una larga y provechosa serie de publicaciones anuales.

O termo Bioma refere-se a uma área do espaço geográfico representada por um tipo uniforme de ambiente, dentro do qual é possível identificar características similares de macroclima, fitofisionomia, solo e altitude (WALTER, 1986). Dentro dessas áreas espécies surgiram e se desenvolveram em resposta à essas características do ambiente. Tal processo permite que por exemplo, dentro dessas áreas os vegetais apresentem aspectos, formas e processos fisiológicos característicos (CRAWLEY, 1989). Dessa maneira, a manutenção desses biomas, com suas características ambientais únicas, é de fundamental importância para a manutenção da biodiversidade e dos serviços ecossistêmicos que ali ocorrem (regulação climática, ciclo de matéria, segurança alimentar, entre outros) (PBMC/BPBES, 2018; JOLY et al., 2019). O Brasil é formado por seis grandes biomas: Amazônia, Caatinga, Cerrado, Mata Atlântica, Pampas e Pantanal (IBGE, 2019). Dentro desses ambientes são encontrados uma grande diversidade de fauna e flora e características únicas de relevo e clima. Essa variedade de biomas está relacionada a grande extensão territorial do Brasil e a sua posição geográfica. Todas essas características fazem do Brasil o maior detentor de biota continental do mundo, sendo estimado um valor entre 15% e 20% das aproximadamente 1,5 milhões de espécies descritas no planeta. Só de plantas vasculares os números mais recentes citados são de 56108 espécies, com 12400 (22%) endêmicas. Esses dados representam aproximadamente 22% do total mundial (LEWINSOHN; PRADO, 2002; SHEPHERD, 2002; HUBBELL, 2008; GIAM et al., 2010). Dentro desse contexto, os biomas Cerrado e Pantanal se integram por meio dos rios que nascem nos planaltos do Cerrado. Esses rios contribuem na formação do Pantanal, nas planícies inundáveis da bacia do Paraguai (BRASIL, 2007). No Domínio Cerrado, a dinâmica ambiental é proveniente de uma marcada sazonalidade climática com duas estações bem definidas, o período seco e o período chuvoso (ASSAD, 1994; SILVA, 2011). Essa sazonalidade climática modifica constantemente as propriedades do solo, da flora e da paisagem e a reestruturação de muitas comunidades (AMARAL et al., 2013; MALHEIROS, 2016). No Pantanal as áreas conhecidas como planícies de inundação se caracterizam pela presença de hábitats que variam de aquáticos a terrestres, de acordo com o grau de comunicação com o rio principal (PAZ; TUCCI, 2010). Os ciclos de secas e cheias são um importante fenômeno hídrico para a região, criando um sistema complexo e dinâmico (JUNK; DA SILVA, 1999; RESENDE, 2008). O Cerrado é uma das 25 áreas do mundo consideradas críticas para a conservação, devido à riqueza biológica e à alta pressão antrópica a que vem sendo submetido (MYERS et al., 2000). O Pantanal, por sua vez, é reconhecido mundialmente pela abundância de sua fauna (MITTERMEIER et al., 1990; HARRIS et al., 2005) e é considerado Reserva da Biosfera e Patrimônio Natural da Humanidade pela Unesco (BRASIL, 2018). O conhecimento dos aspectos que envolvem a fauna, a flora e as características dessas paisagens são de extrema importância para a sua conservação e preservação. As áreas de transição entre esses dois biomas, chamadas áreas de ecótono, se fazem presentes no estado do Mato Grosso do Sul. Nessa região, os biomas Cerrado e Pantanal possuem correlações quanto aos aspectos geomorfológicos e fitogeográficos (RODRIGUES et al., 2017). Na região o encontro entre o Planalto de Maracaju-Campo Grande e a Planície Pantaneira é uma área comum de elementos bióticos e abióticos entre o planalto e a planície (FILHO et al., 2009). A transição entre dois ecossistemas implica a existência de uma área com valores intermediários para diversos parâmetros ambientais (NEIFF, 2003). Por um lado, a área de transição pode gerar um aumento na biodiversidade, dado o fato dessas áreas apresentarem representantes de fauna e flora dos dois ecossistemas (VELOSO et al., 1991). Contudo, essas áreas de transição podem também representarem barreira ou área de isolamento com ecossistemas vizinhos (MALANSON, 1997). Desta forma, uma análise voltada para as áreas de ecótono entre esses dois biomas faz-se necessária, uma vez que a preservação de um depende da preservação do outro. Sobretudo para o entendimento de que essas paisagens de ecótono podem ser responsáveis pelo isolamento e amortecimento das alterações dentro dos biomas Cerrado e Pantanal. Este E-book traz estudos desenvolvidos na área de ecótono Cerrado Pantanal no município de Aquidauana (MS) e entorno. O município está localizado a 130 Km a oeste da capital Campo Grande. Aquidauana por se tratar de um município com influência dos biomas Cerrado e Pantanal, abriga uma grande biodiversidade, sendo citada pelo Ministério do Meio Ambiente (BRASIL, 2002) como área prioritária para conservação da biodiversidade. Na mesma via, o município se destaca por sua vocação turística e agropecuária, o que demanda atenção, devido ao processo de intensa ocupação e exploração antrópica dos recursos naturais. Dessa maneira, o conhecimento de suas características ambientais e dos processos ecológicos desempenhados por sua fauna e flora contribuem para sua preservação e manutenção.

Ecuador experienced moderate economic growth during the 2000s. The economy suffered a mild recession during the international crisis of 2008, but returned to pre-recession GDP per capita level in 2010. Most labour market indicators improved over the period. The only indicator that worsened was the employment structure by occupational position. Most labour market indicators were affected negatively by the international crisis but recovered their pre-crisis levels by 2012. The only exception was labour earnings for some employment categories. With the onset of the crisis of 2008, the poverty rate stopped falling, but it regained its downward trend from 2011 onwards.
