Abstract:
Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) is a key pro-inflammatory cytokine in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) pathogenesis, with its overexpression driving systemic effects characteristic of RA [1, 2]. Targeting TNF-α with biologic therapies has revolutionized RA management [3, 4], highlighting its role in disease progression and severity. Our study revealed that monocytes from patients with RA exhibit lower activation thresholds for TNF-α compared to healthy donors.
