Zohuri Torshizi è un poeta di origini persiane vissuto tra il 1537-38 e il 1616 d.C. Nativo del Qohestan, nella sua giovinezza giunge a Yazd, dove presta servizio alla corte del ne'matollah Ghyas od-Din Mir Miran. Successivamente, da Yazd si sposterà a Shiraz e lavorerà per un periodo al fianco del pittore Darvish Hoseyn, prima di partire alla volta del sud dell'India, nell'anno 1580-81. Quirky subjects are subject-like NP's that bear non-nominative case and a non-agentive theta role, yet have some properties of subjects.
