Abstract:
Indonesia’s characteristics as an archipelagic state along with the increase of traditional and non-traditional threats in Indonesia require the ownership of military amphibious aircraft to oversee its maritime territories and perform logistics distribution to remote areas with minimum accessibility, especially its outermost islands. This study applied a combination of analytic hierarchy process (AHP), Political, Economic, Social, Techonology, Environment, and Legal (PESTEL) and Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT) analysis to conduct a structured, systematic, measurable, and comprehensive decision-making process for selecting military amphibious aircraft and prescribe strategic recommendations on the acquisition plan. By using 3 criteria, 14 sub-criteria, and 3 alternative aircraft models, the results of AHP analysis showed that the Beriev Be-200 aircraft are the most preferred aircraft by the Indonesian users. The results of PESTEL-SWOT analysis show that good diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the manufacturer’s country of origin, users’ support to the plan, and user’s ability to adapt in operating and maintaining the aircraft support this decision. Meanwhile, limited fiscal capacity and domestic aircraft maintenance facilities/depots, as well as the risk of spare parts scarcity, have to be addressed for Indonesia to acquire its own military amphibious aircrafts.

Abstract:
Economic inclusion is a primary goal of Indonesia's National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020-2024, with a target to increase Sharia economic penetration from 11.2% to 15% by 2024. However, the penetration rate remains low at 12.5% in 2023, primarily due to misunderstandings and perceived exclusivity. Enhancing public understanding through technology is crucial. A Sharia-compliant cooperative management system, SIMAKSI, was developed to support this goal, but its growth is hindered by an unappealing structure, poorly organized information, and issues related to non-compliance. This study leverages SWOT analysis to determine the most effective strategies for improving the SIMAKSI web application. The analysis reveals strengths in user segmentation, Sharia compliance, and feature offerings, while identifying significant weaknesses in the system's design and functionality. Additionally, PESTEL analysis highlights opportunities such as government support and market demand, and threats from competitive pressures and regulatory changes. Porter’s Five Forces framework further evaluates these competitive pressures. The results of this study offer strategic guidance for optimizing SIMAKSI, with the aim of increasing market acceptance and expanding its subscriber base, thereby contributing to the broader objective of Sharia economic inclusion in Indonesia.

Abstract:
The tea industry in Kenya is among the main consumers of firewood for its intensive thermal energy demand. Along with the growing concerns about firewood depletion, tea factories have begun transitioning to alternative fuels to power their boilers. Briquettes made of biomass residues are among the promising solutions; however, they are not yet widely adopted. This study was conducted to identify the factors that motivate the tea factories to use biomass briquettes instead of firewood and the factors hindering such substitution. The substitution potential was assessed, and the drivers and barriers of the substitution were examined using a combination of SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis and a PESTEL (political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal) framework. The findings suggest that even though using biomass briquettes is technically possible, it is not economically favorable for tea factories. The SWOT/PESTEL analysis identified 27 factors influencing the substitution. Among the key drivers are the depleting supply of firewood, the availability of biomass residues, and the external support from development organizations to improve the technical capacity in both tea and briquette industries. The study revealed the barriers to substitution include the cost competitiveness, insufficient supply, and varying quality of briquettes, as well as the lack of awareness and knowledge of briquettes.

Descriptive statistics, a SWOT and PESTEL matrix, and system mapping were utilized for analysis. Ethiopian beekeeping is still dominated by traditional production systems, followed by modern and transitional systems, differing in types of beehives and the average amount of honey yield. The combined SWOT-PESTEL analysis revealed challenges like a limited supply and high cost of modern beehives, shortage of credit, absence of a honey marketing legal framework, pest and predator attacks, absconding, and uncontrolled application of agrochemicals. Opportunities include the globally increasing demand for honey, availability of good investment policy, conducive agroecology, and support from NGOs. The less productive techniques of smallholder beekeepers’ crude honey production for local beverage making affected the good use of the potential and minimized its contribution to the local and national economy. On the contrary, strengthening private investors and cooperatives towards the production of fully and semi-processed honey impacted the utilization of the potential positively.

Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the feasibility of investment in the development of medicinal plant businesses in Asahan Regency as an effort to diversify the economy. The method used is quantitative research with a descriptive approach, including SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and PESTEL analysis to evaluate external factors that affect the business. In addition, a capital budgeting analysis was carried out using NPV (Net Present Value), PI (Profitability Index), and PP (Payback Period) to determine the feasibility of investment. The results of the SWOT analysis show that Asahan Regency has high natural resource potential and government support, although there are challenges such as limited human resource quality and infrastructure. PESTEL analysis reveals that political stability and positive economic growth support the development of the medicinal plant sector, while environmental risks and policy changes need to be watched out for. The NPV calculation produces a value of around IDR 11,636,364, indicating that this project is profitable at a 10% discount rate. The Profitability Index of 2.5 indicates investment feasibility, and the Payback Period of around 0.67 years (8 months) indicates a short time to reach breakeven. The conclusion of this study is that Asahan Regency is a suitable location for cultivating medicinal plants. Increasing human resource capacity and infrastructure development are essential to maximize investment potential in this sector. This study provides recommendations for stakeholders to improve training for farmers.

Abstract:
This study’s main purpose was to assess how well Zambian Breweries analysed business performance using SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) and PESTLE (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal, and Environmental) analytical approaches. The methodology involved the distribution of a survey through the Google Forms platform, to which 17 respondents answered, and the collection of data utilising that survey. The results of the study were generated by the Google platforms based on the respondents’ responses. According to the study’s findings, Zambian Breweries occasionally performed SWOT and PESTLE analyses to assess the internal and external environments of the business and to assist in decision-making. The study further shows that managers at Zambian Breweries use SWOT and PESTLE analyses to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of significant choices. SWOT and PESTLE assessments can be employed for both large and small projects, to make decisions on marketing campaigns, organisational changes, the adoption of new production methods, and the introduction of new products. The analysis phase involves gathering employee viewpoints, which enhances project understanding, acceptance, and execution. To understand how a company is operating, it is essential to understand its SWOT and PESTLE analyses. In order to build strategic strategies, businesses must perform comprehensive study, which calls for the SWOT and PESTLE studies. An internal environment study and competitive advantage identification are common goals of a SWOT analysis. PESTLE analysis can be used to look at the external factors that affect the business environment. Keywords: Analysis, PESTLE, SWOT, Strategy, Strategic Management.

Abstract:
The treatment of obesity in Greece, which has undesired health, economic and social impacts, requires a holistic approach while the use of strategic management tools such as SWOT and PESTEL analysis can facilitate the fight against the pandemic. The use of Artificial Intelligence in several sectors has increasing applications nowadays. A PESTEL analysis has been realized using the Chat GPT instead of asking the opinion of experts and stakeholders of the healthcare industry. Chat GPT was asked to identify the main political, economic, social, technological, environmental and legal factors affecting obesity management in Greece. It was found that its quick answers were satisfactory although some additional factors which were not identified by Chat GPT have been proposed. Taking into account that the use of Chat GPT has various limitations related with its training in recent scientific advancements and information it is suggested that it should be used combinedly with human analysis for the achievement of optimum results. Our findings could be used by policy makers, experts and several stakeholders of the obesity management industry in Greece for the improvement of the policies used for treating the contemporary pandemic of obesity.

The company is analysed against the comparator undertaking Balfour Beatty Plc and the average numbers of the UK and international construction industry. The financial analysis is performed over the range of financial ratios commonly applied in undergraduate and graduate business studies. For the purposes of the business analysis, the SWOT Model and the PESTEL Framework are used. The research reveals that due to diversified divisions and a high market share the Kier Group Plc is able to generate growing revenues, albeit at the high administrative costs and with an extending operating cycle. Further, revenue growth is not accompanied by improved liquidity. The growing social diversification among residential customers, the steady technological change and the increasing demand for sustainable construction place additional challenges to the Group.

Abstract : Trauma is a critical global health issue, leading to millions of serious injuries and significant fatalities worldwide, particularly from traffic accidents. In Indonesia, traffic accidents were the fifth leading cause of death in 2023, highlighting the urgent need for effective trauma care. Despite the pandemic, the trauma device market in Indonesia experienced growth, with MEDTECH’s portfolio outperforming the market but still underperforming in revenue generation. This research aims to address MEDTECH’s challenges and formulate strategies to enhance its market presence and sales performance. The study is divided into three phases: identifying core business issues, establishing a theoretical foundation using PESTLE and Porter’s Five Forces, and conducting a SWOT analysis. The PESTEL analysis revealed opportunities such as economic growth and technological advancements, and threats including local content regulations and supply chain issues. The Porter analysis suggests moderate market attractiveness due to competition and innovation needs. The STP analysis identifies key targets, including Tier 1 hospitals for advanced Variable Angle (VA) implants and Tier 2 hospitals for cost-effective Mono Angle (MA) implants. The Marketing Mix analysis highlights the need for product updates, pricing adjustments, expanded distribution, and enhanced promotional activities. To strengthen its position, MEDTECH should focus on immediate product development and market penetration strategies, while also planning for long-term local manufacturing and regulatory compliance to ensure sustainable growth in the Indonesian market.

Abstract:
Land registration is an important program in asset legalization with the vast land resources owned by Indonesia. The reality is that there are 48 million certificated lands out of an estimated 126 million certificates throughout Indonesia, so the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) made a breakthrough through the Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program. The grouping mechanism of the PTSL program is divided into four clusters, namely K-1, K-2, K-3, and K-4. Land parcels included in K-4 have problems, namely that they have been registered but not mapped/mapped incorrectly, so the idea of modeling the K-4 typology is needed for accelerating the improvement in land data quality (KW). The research location is in Bandung Regency, which is included in the top five land offices with the highest number of K-4 in West Java Province. This research method uses a mixed method, namely quantitative with a Slovin approach for the identification and clustering of K-4 typology and descriptive qualitative for justification of typology modeling in multiple aspects. The results of K-4 typology modeling were 128 clusters based on seven types of data criteria and obtained 4 clusters that matched the data sample, namely T-1, T-43, T-63, and T-128. The four clusters were justified against the K-4 concept in the Ministry of ATR/BPN, the FFP-LA concept, and the PESTLE framework. Dissemination of K-4 typology modeling is a breakthrough that can be implemented by the Ministry of ATR/BPN and its staff in various regions and the role of multi-concepts in this research can be an input for improving the K-4 concept that has been in effect so far.
