Full text
Abstract:
The acoustic emissions from rubbing the ends of baseball bats, thin wood rods, and the soles of rubber boots on a snow bed were recorded and analyzed. The same analysis was also extended to the acoustic emissions from impacting a snow bed by small pestles and by subjecting a snow bed to relatively large stresses by stepping on it with shoes of variable rigidity. It is shown that when a snow bed is lightly rubbed, the acoustic emissions originate from vibration mode excitation in the rubbing body. It is argued that when highly granular cold snow is impacted by a small pestle, the acoustic emissions could originate with mode excitation in granule vibration bands around the pestle end, as in the case of impacted singing sands. Layers of highly granular and rounded snow pellets, seemingly formed from frozen raindrops, could contribute especially to snow avalanches. When walking on a snow bed, the acoustic emissions include squeaky sounds that originate from mode excitation in the shoe sole and crunchy and squeally sounds that could originate with crack growth and crystal dislocation processes in the sheared matrix of snow grains and grain bonds.

Abstract:
Downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola) and powdery mildew (Erysiphe necator) are the most common and economically significant fungal diseases in vineyards. The task of this work is to study the genotypes of new promising hybrid forms of table grapes for the presence of resistance genes to downy mildew (Rpv10 and Rpv3) and powdery mildew (Ren9) using DNA-markers. The study was carried out on table grape hybrids under the working names Agat dubovskiy, Akelo, Arabella, Artek, Dubovskiy rozovyi, Gamlet, Ispolin, Kishmish dubovskiy, Kurazh, Pestryi, Valensiya and registered variety Liviya. The studied genes were analyzed using markers UDV305 and UDV737 (Rpv3), GF09-46 (Rpv10), CenGen6 (Ren9). The following cultivars were used as reference genotypes: Saperavi severnyi (carries Rpv10 gene) and Regent (Rpv3 and Ren9). It was established that Rpv3 gene is carried by hybrids Kishmish dubovskiy, Agat dubovskiy, Kurazh, Valensiya, Akelo, Gamlet, Dubovskiy rozovyi, Pestryi. Ren9 gene was found in Artek, Agat dubovskiy, Kurazh, Ispolin, Valensiya, Arabella, Gamlet, Dubovskiy rozovyi, Pestryi. The Rpv10 gene was not detected in any of the analyzed grapevine samples. genotypes Agat dubovskiy, Kurazh, Gamlet, Dubovskiy rozovyi, Pestryi, Valensiya carry Rpv3 and Ren9 genes simultaneously. These grapevines have an elegant bunch and large berries that are attractive to consumers.

Abstract:
AbstractWith one exception, which has been described as a suspended “kiva bell,” long stone rods have been interpreted throughout the archaeological literature of North America as whetstones or pestles. Two particularly long rods in a collection of prehistoric artifacts from New England raise questions as to the real use of some of these objects. The prevailing interpretations of the two artifacts may be incorrect, or at least incomplete, because the rods lack the kinds of wear that are found on most whetstones or pestles. They also have different acoustical properties from true pestles, which are usually shorter, and are identical in materials, acoustics, and form to probable prehistoric lithophones from the Old World, which can be played on the lap. The identification of the pair of rods as good candidates for being the first known cylindrical, two-toned prehistoric lithophones from New England introduces a new avenue for the study of fossil sounds and rituals in both the region and continent because it is likely that similar artifacts will be examined for characteristic wear, tested acoustically, and recognized as the objects of prestige and ceremony that they may have been in their role as un-suspended musical instruments.

Abstract:
In the Republic of Uzbekistan widespread agrotechnical and melioration measures are carried out, aimed to melt the population demands on the ecologically clean agricultural products. The output quality can be improved through quantity reduction of residue toxic pesticides accumulating in soil. Study of soil quality, development of agro-engineering measures on pollution decrease are an important problem today. The research was conducted in the fields of meadow sierozem soil with a total area of 5 hectare of selected agricultural holding. In 5 key fields soil samples were taken for chemical analysis. As an experimental zone the 1st cut was chosen, placed with a height of 420 meters above sea-level. In the first ten days of April 26 soil samples were selected from soils 0-30, 30-50, 50-80, 80-100, 120-150 centimeters with 3 cuts and 2 borer points (hand drill). The research was conducted in field and laboratory conditions. Solution of obtained soil samples was tested on Mass- chromatograph machine. In determining of initial ecological state of soil, the main focus was given to organochlorine pesticides with toxic effect. Admissible quantity (MAC) in soil for pesticides HCCH and its metabolites is 0,1 mg / kg. Laboratory research showed that in analytics in all cuts the number of pesticides is high, that is 1-35, 3 times higher than MAC, determined for soil.

Abstract:
Healthcare infrastructural investments are a key strategic issue in countries such as Italy, whose aging population faces severe public budget constraints, exacerbated by the unprecedented recession. The choice between traditional procurement (TP) and Public Private Partnerships/Project Finance (PPP/PF) is by now a cornerstone of public strategies concerning complex infrastructural investments. PESTLE and SWOT strategic analysis provides a systematic and comprehensive reflection of the external and internal operational environment but has infrequently been applied to infrastructural procurement. Risk sharing between public and private actors and consequent corporate governance and ownership issues are still under-investigated in the literature, especially if associated with innovative PESTLE and SWOT instruments. Evidence shows that PESTLE and SWOT analysis improves procurement choices and public-private partnering, softening governance concerns. Since empirical considerations about Italy may be globally extended, even beyond the healthcare industry, the audience of this study may conveniently widen well beyond its apparently narrow focus.

The change of how patients acquire medical information is noticeable to all actors of the health care system. While in former times it was common practice, that the doctors marked the only source of health information, it has become normal nowadays, in the times of social media, digital networks and communities, to receive medical information from the internet by oneself. Next to numerous e-health and telemedical solutions from various participants in the healthcare system, chatbots increasingly gain relevance. This paper presents the potential of chatbots on the German e-health market with the help of a SWOT and a PESTLE analysis. Abstract:
IntroductionThe development and implementation of national strategic plans is a critical component towards successfully addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR). This study aimed to review the scope and analytical depth of situation analyses conducted to address AMR in human health to inform the development and implementation of national strategic plans.MethodsA systematic search of the literature was conducted to identify all studies since 2000, that have employed a situation analysis to address AMR. The included studies are analysed against frameworks for strategic analysis, primarily the PESTELI (Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological, Ecological, Legislative, Industry) framework, to understand the depth, scope and utility of current published approaches.Results10 studies were included in the final review ranging from single country (6) to regional-level multicountry studies (4). 8 studies carried out documentary review, and 3 of these also included stakeholder interviews. 2 studies were based on expert opinion with no data collection. No study employed the PESTELI framework. Most studies (9) included analysis of the political domain and 1 study included 6 domains of the framework. Technological and industry analyses is a notable gap. Facilitators and inhibitors within the political and legislative domains were the most frequently reported. No facilitators were reported in the economic or industry domains but featured inhibiting factors including: lack of ring-fenced funding for surveillance, perverse financial incentives, cost-shifting to patients; joint-stock drug company ownership complicating regulations.ConclusionThe PESTELI framework provides further opportunities to combat AMR using a systematic, strategic management approach, rather than a retrospective view. Future analysis of existing quantitative data with interviews of key strategic and operational stakeholders is needed to provide critical insights about where implementation efforts should be focussed, and also how to build contingency at the strategic level for agile responses to macro-level environmental influences.

Abstract:
With four-probe technique, we investigated the effects of the mortar-pestle grinding on the conductivity of ferric chloride doped conducting polymer polypyrrole, which had been synthesized by in situ polymerizing the monomer pyrrole in aqueous solutions in the presence of the oxidant iron (III) chloride. As the mortar-pestle grinding duration increased from 0 to 4 hours, the conductivity of the synthesized polypyrrole was found to decrease from about 100 to 10 S/m. In the meantime, the sizes of the grinded polymeric particles were found to decrease from 40.6 to 3.36 m as the grinding duration increased from 0 to 4 hours. Our results demonstrated that the grinding shortened conjugation lengths of the polymeric chains should be responsible for the decrease in the conductivity of the polymer.

Abstract:
African pollination weevil (Elaeidobius kamerunicus Faust) has an important role in the productivity of Indonesian oil palm plantation. Up to now, there has not been a comprehensive biological study of the species at molecular level. The basic knowledge is very useful for exploitation of the weevil for effective oil palm fruit set development. This research aimed to obtain DNA extraction protocol of E. kamerunicus for DNA fingerprinting of the species. Results showed that using a DNA extraction kit, material disruption by using micro pestle resulted the highest quantity of DNA, while there were no significant differences of resulted DNA quantity among treatments using tissue lyser for material disruption. DNA extracted by using micro pestle or tissue lyser for material disruption is adequate for DNA fingerprinting using AFLP (Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism) and sequencing techniques.

Abstract:
The purpose of the work was to determine the provenance of the raw materials of ancient stone products, found during the excavations of the Bronze-Early Iron Age monument Tokivske-1, with the aim to establish connections of the ancient population of the area with residents of other regions. The archaeological monument Tokivske-1, located in the northern outskirts of the village Tokivske, Apostolove Raion, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, has been explored by the expedition of Dnipropetrovsk National Historical Museum named after D.I. Yavornytskyi since 2012. The authors of this article already carried out petrographic study of stone artefacts from this monument, which had been found during the first five years of excavations. However, over the past two years, a number of stone and other items were found that could expand our knowledge of the links of Tokivske-1 with ancient industrial centers of other regions. To carry out the petrographic analysis, six artefacts were taken, mainly those made from macroscopically different rocks. Most of them can be related to metalworking. The analyzed samples are represented by an amphibolite hammer for forging jewels or peening sheet copper, a dolerite anvil-prop for a specified hammer, a fragment of an abrasive stone made of ferruginous quartzite, a quartz tile, which is a fragment of an altar, and fragments of an anvil and a scepter-pestle made of sandstone. Petrographic analysis of artefacts allowed determining the probable provenance of their raw materials. Amphibolites are quite common in the territory of the Middle Dnipro area, but by the color of the hornblende, the predominance of epidotization processes over sericitization and macrostructural features, the studied rock is more similar to the amphibolites from the middle stream of the Bazavluk River. Dolerites, similar to the raw material of the anvil-prop, are also common in the area of excavations, and by the presence of the micropegmatite in its composition, its origin can be localized in the middle stream of the river Bazavluk or in the valley of the river Mokra Sura. Magnetite quartzite – the raw material of the abrasive stone – most likely comes from the territory of the city of Kryvyi Rih. Quartz tile – a fragment of an altar – is a quartz vein, similar to those that intersect granites of the Tokivskyi massif directly near the village Tokivske. Sandstones, from which the anvil and the scepter-pestle were produced, appeared to be very similar in their petrographic features. They are represented by quartz sandstones with fragments of rocks and polymineral cement with the predominance of quartz regenerative and porous sericite cement. Also, the relic chalcedony and, more rarely, clay cement are present in the pores. In the territory of Ukraine, the most similar to them, according to petrographic characteristics, are the sandstones of the Carboniferous system, which crop out in the Donbas. Thus, the obtained data testifies to the connection of the Tokivske-1 archaeological complex with other parts of the Middle Dnipro area, such as the middle stream of the Bazavluk River and the Kryvyi Rih area, as well as with more distant regions such as the Donbas. It should be noted that scepter-pestles, similar to the one studied by us, are associated with metalworking, and the Donetsk basin, where the raw material of the indicated tool originates from, was the copper production center of the Late Bronze Age.
