Abstract:
Intramuscular lipoma is a relatively uncommon condition and accounts for just 1,8% of all primary tumors of adipose tissue and less than 1% of all lipoma. This tumor arises within skeletal muscle fibers at various locations. However, giant intramuscular lipomas of biceps brachii muscle are rare tumors.
A 48-years old man presented with a mass on his right upper-arm. The mass existed for one year and has since increased in size. On physical examination, the mass was pain upon palpation and completely mobile. Plain radiography, the soft tissue mass unremarkable. Computed tomography (CT) sc

INTRODUCTION Spindle cell lipoma is a rare variant of lipoma that usually arises from subcutaneous tissue of the posterior neck and shoulder. Some cases of spindle cell lipoma may be found in the intraabdominal and retroperitoneal areas. CASE We report a 58-year-old female who presented with right abdominal pain and distension for one month. CT scan of the abdomen was done and revealed a large right adrenal mass (16.5 cm x 13.7 cm x 20.5 cm), with normal hormonal workup. Right adrenalectomy was performed and histopathological examination (HPE) confirmed Spindle Cell Lipoma. CONCLUSION This cas

Case report: This is a case report of a retroperitoneal lipoma. The patient was admitted with complaints of abdominal distention and early satiety. Contrast enhanced CT scan of abdomen showed a large mass of fat density arising from the retroperitoneum measuring 30 x 25 x 20cm displacing the left kidney towards the midline and anteriorly. Fat plane was maintained with surrounding structures. The patient underwent exploratory laparotomy and the lipoma was excised. The lesion measured 30 x 20 cm and weighed 5.1 kgs. Since the left kidney was displaced anteriorly and towards the midline, nephropex

A lipoma is the most typical mesenchymal tumor. Over time, lipomas can grow into substantial masses. Case, A 71-year-old woman complained of a mass in her upper right arm but reported no pain or discomfort. The mass is 13 x 11 x 6 cm in size. Histopathological analysis and a wide excision surgical approach were used. A mass more than 5 cm in diameter is considered a giant lipoma. A differential diagnosis of liposarcoma can be made using a computed tomography (CT) scan or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The two surgical procedures of wide and marginal excision are typically used to treat lipo

Primary tracheal tumors are very rare and 10%–20% are benign tumors. Tracheal lipoma is extremely rare and only a few cases have been reported in the literature. A 69-year-old male patient presented to the emergency department with complaints of shortness of breath, respiratory distress, chest pain and cough. Chest CT scan showed a round mass in the topography of the trachea that almost caused airway obstruction. The lesion was resected endoscopically and the pedicle base was cauterized. Despite their benign character, intrapericardial lipomas can cause life-threatening complications by rapid growth. This paper presents a case of an intrapericardial lipoma in an almost asymptomatic 41-year-old female patient only suffering from mild dyspnoea on exertion. The tumour was found incidentally by chest X-ray. Echocardiographic examination and a CT scan of the thorax revealed a 16 × 14 × 12 cm lipomatous tumour mass highly suspective of a lipoma. Histological examination of excised tumour specimens confirmed the diagnosis of a lipoma. The patient is currently asymptomatic and has not

<p>A lipoma is a benign tumour that arises from an adipose tissue. It is the leading benign soft tissue tumour. It can occur anywhere in the human body. Lipomas in the gastrointestinal tract are quite rare and usually asymptomatic. We report a 70 years old male patient who presented with crampy abdominal pain. CT scan of the abdomen showed colo-colic intussusception. The patient was explored and the finding was colo-colic intussusception with a mass as a leading point. En-block resection done. Abstract:
Lipomas of the small intestine are rare benign tumors, often asymptomatic and rarely complicating intestinal obstruction. Acute manifestations, such as partial or complete obstruction, are uncommon. We report a case of intestinal obstruction due to torsion of a pedunculated parietal lipoma in a 36-year-old woman admitted for acute abdominal pain with an absence of passage of flatus and feces. CT scan confirmed the diagnosis of bowel obstruction and showed a fatty mass. Surgery consisted of a tumerectomy. Pathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of a lipocytic lipoma.

Abstract:
A case of esophageal lipoma resembling a paraesophageal omental herniation is described herein. A 68-year-old male with symptoms of epigastric gas pains was noted. A barium swallow examination showed a large mass in the lower esophagus, which could move up and down along the esophagus easily and intermittently. Computed tomography scan of the chest and upper abdomen demonstrated a mass with fatty like density at the lower thoracic esophagus. A left posterior-lateral thoracotomy was performed. Histological examination revealed large mature lipocytes and lipoma of the esophagus was diagnosed. Di
