Abstract:

The epoch of the Anthropocene is on the verge of becoming scientifically acknowledged by the science of Geology. In what way does this concern Philosophy? In this paper, we evaluate how the new concept of the Anthropocene contrasts with the classical concept of Nature, aiming to identify the territory of both. In order to do this we take as our starting point the approach of Francis Bacon (1561-1626) which separates God and Nature. This later translated into the separation of Nature and Culture. The latter dualism is contested by Philippe Descola (b.1942) who defends the convergence of both. B

Im Artikel werden C. P. E. Bachs Trio Wq 145 und die in der ersten Ausgabe des BWV unter 1036 geführte Frühfassung miteinander verglichen. Die Bedeutung der Frühfassung wird aufgrund der Tatsache hervorgehoben, dass der Bach-Sohn im Zuge seiner Gesamt-Revision seines Werkes Frühwerke und –Fassungen restlos vernichtet hatte. Kerstin Hofmann and Philipp Stockhammer's essay on theory in ‘Beyond antiquarianism’ displays a mood that lacks self-confidence, despite a more optimistic outlook on theoretical reflections in their field than an earlier paper by Ulrike Sommer (2000b).
