In imperial Transylvania, the Hungarian professors of philosophy served as models for the Romanian proponents of philosophy. Due to the official catholic hostility to Kant, Márton Istvan promoted the philosophy of Krug, of which he edited and translated a compendium into Latin. Krug was not a genuine Kantian, but an eclectic post-Kantian, influenced by Reinhold, Fichte, and Schelling. The article seeks to present the concept of space of the Romanian thinker Lucian Blaga (1895–1961). The author of the article presents the main assumptions of Blaga’s philosophy of culture, as presented in his work Trilogia culturii. This study pleads for the use of the term “integral linguistics” for the theory of language created and developed by the Romanian linguist Eugenio Coseriu starting with the middle of the twentieth century.
