Abstract:
An algorithm of pre-equilibrium clustering of spectator matter based on the construction of the minimum spanning tree (MST) is presented. The algorithm was implemented in the Abrasion-Ablation Monte Carlo for Colliders (AAMCC) model designed to study the characteristics of spectator matter in collisions of relativistic nuclei. Due to accounting for the pre-equilibrium clusters in modelling 208Pb–208Pb collisions at the LHC, the agreement of simulation results with experimental data on the average multiplicities of spectator nucleons was improved. The results of the AAMCC-MST were compared with

Abstract:
The paper considers a new technology for cutting out of a metal sheet with a thickness of up to 1.5 mm using one-sided and two-sided templates coated with photoresists. This technology was previously used in the radio industry and in instrument engineering, where photoemulsion was used as a coating. The paper reveals the possibilities of significantly increasing the resource when using multilayer photomasks with a new coating with various methods of its application, limits are set for the use of coatings made of photoemulsion and photoresists, depending on the purpose, complexity of the parts

Abstract:
This paper presents a study of the angular distribution and two-particle angular correlation among ‘black’ and ‘rey’particles produced in the interaction of 12C nuclei with a photoemulsion at 4.5 GeV per nucleon. Experimental data are compared with Monte Carlo simulated values assuming independent emission. The observation of some short-range correlation among the target fragments may indicate shock-wave formation.

Abstract:
The characteristics of 12C–AgBr interaction at 4.5-GeV∙c−1∙nucleon−1 incident momentum are studied by means of the photoemulsion technique, to search for shock-wave phenomena. The angular distributions indicate an anisotropic process in the nuclear matter. The results are compared with the antiproton–AgBr reaction observations of Breivik et al. (1983) at 1.4 GeV∙c−1.

This chapter presents the non-electronic detector types cloud chamber, bubble chamber and photoemulsions with which the trajectories of ionizing particles can be made visible. Of these ‘classical’ detectors cloud and bubble chambers have today no or at most only minor relevance in research because of their relatively cumbersome data acquisition. However, photoemulsions–despite their laborious data analysis–are still employed in modern experiments when it comes to achieving position resolutions in the micrometer regime. Therefore deployment and analysis of photoemulsions are described in some m
