Background: Liposomes serve as delivery systems for biologically active compounds. Existing technologies inefficiently encapsulate large hydrophilic macromolecules, such as PVP-conjugated chlorin e6 (Photolon). This photoactive drug has been widely tested for therapeutic applications, including photodynamic reduction of atherosclerotic plaque. Methods: A novel formulation of Photolon was produced using “gel hydration technology”. Its pharmacokinetics was tested in Sus scrofa f. domestica. Its cellular uptake, cytotoxicity, and ability to induce a phototoxic reaction were demonstrated in J774A.

An experimental model of an infected wound was created in 90 Wistar rats using a mixture of cultures of Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Candida albicans. The animals are divided into 3 groups of 30 individuals. The first group consisted of animals treated with pulsed high-intensity broadband irradiation using an experimental apparatus with a pulsed xenon lamp operating in a pulsed periodic mode with an average UV-C (200-280 nm) radiation power of 3 W, and a pulsed UV-C power of 24 kW. Background. Penile cancer is a rare oncological pathology. Due to the intimate nature of the affected area and high significance of the organ for psycho-emotional state of the patient, at the early stages of the disease organ-sparing operations are preferred allowing to minimize the effect on patient’s quality of life without affecting oncological results.Aim. To evaluate the effectiveness of treatment of early stages penile cancer using photodynamic therapy (PDT) with chlorin E6 derivatives.Materials and methods. The method of photodynamic therapy has been elaborated, studied experimentally and tested in a clinic in 112 patients with CIN II-III. The method of photodynamic therapy included two stages: administration of photosensybilizator фотосенсибилизатора and radiation treatment with a laser of long length, corresponding to the peak of the absorption of the medicine. The following theses were established: photodynamic therapy of CIN contributes to the decrease of the number of HPV-positive patients (from 81,2 to 56 %), the clinical effectiveness photodynamic therapy of CIN corresponds to 92,8 % of th

Oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs) are conditions that carry an increased risk of malignant transformation, including oral leukoplakia and oral lichen planus. Current management approaches differ based on each condition’s unique etiology and pathophysiology, but all available treatment methods have notable limitations. This has prompted continued efforts to identify more effective therapeutic options. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has emerged as a minimally invasive yet potent alternative for treating OPMDs. This systematic review examines the efficacy of PDT mediated by toluidine blue
