Abstract—Phyllanthus dardanoi is described and illustrated as a new species apparently endemic to montane forests in northeastern Brazil. It belongs to Phyllanthus sect. Phyllanthus subsect. Clausseniani, and is characterized by staminate flowers with five sepals, two stamens completely connate into a column and with anthers slightly emarginate, dehiscing horizontally, and a cupuliform disk. Abstract:
Three undescribed aromatic diterpenoids (1–3), were isolated from the roots of Phyllanthus emblica and structurally characterized. Compounds 1 and 2 are cleistanthane‐type diterpenoids, and the latter possesses a rare 4,5‐seco‐20(10→5)‐abeo‐ent‐cleistanthane scaffold with an acetenyl at C‐14. Compound 3 was elucidated as a new podocarpane trinorditerpenoid. Antecedentes y Objetivos: Phyllanthus fluitans es la única especie acuática de libre flotación en la familia Phyllanthaceae. Aparece en humedales de América del Sur, pero ha sido también citada de México, donde se considera no nativa. Se utiliza como planta de acuario y se ha escapado de cultivo en Florida (EUA).
