Phyllanthus claussenii is one of the most frequently mentioned species of Phyllanthus sect. Phyllanthus subsect. Clausseniani in various studies. However, it is often mistaken for P. subemarginatus in most collections. In the present work, we present a clarification of the identity and geographic distribution of P. claussenii and the typification of Phyllanthus acuminatus and Savia sessiliflora. The proposal of lectotypes for P. acuminatus and S. sessiliflora will enable the accurate identification of the species and avoid potential ambiguity. To achieve this, protologues and type specimens, i

Abstract:
Abstract—Phyllanthus dardanoi is described and illustrated as a new species apparently endemic to montane forests in northeastern Brazil. It belongs to Phyllanthus sect. Phyllanthus subsect. Clausseniani, and is characterized by staminate flowers with five sepals, two stamens completely connate into a column and with anthers slightly emarginate, dehiscing horizontally, and a cupuliform disk. The new species is similar to P. subemarginatus.

Phyllanthus (Phyllanthaceae) is widely distributed within Brazilian phytogeographic domains where 101 species occur, including a number of poorly-known taxa, such as P. allemii, which was until now only known from the type collection. Here we report the rediscovery of P. allemii, which was recently collected during a floristic inventory carried out in the Estação Ecológica Serra Geral do Tocantins, which is located on the border between Bahia and Tocantins states in the Cerrado domain. We provide an updated and detailed morphological description of the species, including plates and field image

Abstract:
Abstract— Two new species, Phyllanthus lilliputianus and Phyllanthus sobralii are described for the Atlantic Forest of Southeastern Brazil, for the states of Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais, respectively. The presence of deeply emarginate anthers and four-colporate pollen grains with reticulate and microreticulate exine indicate that both species belong to Phyllanthus sect. Phyllanthus subsect. Claussenianii. Phyllanthus lilliputianus is an erect and small herb, with mucilaginous-hyaline branchlets, stipules, and petiole, an elliptical leaf blade that is membranaceous and sparsely mucilaginous
