Abstract:
Advances in technology have changed the traditional music industry. Buying a physical compact disc is no longer the only way to buy music. But buying physical CDs, still accounts for more than 46% of global recorded music revenue. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of scarcity appeal in advertising on customer attitude, scarcity appeal in advertising on purchase intention, customer attitude affect purchase intention on Box Set products in Physical Album Purchases. This study uses data, which in this study were collected using survey methods. The population in this study is the music fans of artists who make Box Set albums on Buy Physical Albums. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling is a sampling technique where the sample is chosen based on the criteria, among others: music fans of artists who make Box Set albums on Buy Physical Albums who have never bought Box Set products at Physical Album Buy and have never saw the Box Set product ad on the Physical Album Buy. The results of the study on the Box Set product at Buy This Physical Album show that Scarcity Appeal in Advertising has a significant effect on customer attitude. Scarcity appeal in advertising also has a significant influence on Purchase intention. Likewise, Customer Attitude has a significant influence on Purchase Intention. This shows that the three research hypotheses were accepted as correct.

Abstract:
Currently, South Korea is very popular for its pop music, which is Korean Pop or “K-Pop”. There are a lot of K-Pop groups and one of them is BTS. BTS’ albums are known to be one of the best-selling in K-Pop, with a total of more than 20 million albums sold in 2020. BTS also has a large number of fans, with Indonesia being one of the top 10 countries that have the highest number of BTS fans. Indonesia also has a BTS fan community that connects BTS fans in the country. However, Indonesia does not seem to contribute a high share in the selling of BTS’ albums, be it physical or digital. Therefore, this conceptual study intends to develop a research framework on the factor affecting purchase decisions on BTS albums. The literature that is used in this conceptual study is limited to literature that is published in 2010 or above. This study contributes to the future researcher to make further research regarding the effect of fan community towards its members’ purchase decision of BTS’ album.

Abstract:
Latvian metal music has a small but stable place on the map of the metal music world. Each year several music albums of this genre are issued in Latvia. With the decrease in demand for physical data storage devices, brochures and well designed back covers are no longer popular; however the only remaining album cover has gained even more importance – the image, photograph, picture that represents the musical material and acts either as a reflection of the content or as an element for attracting attention and is published on the Internet as well as in printed press as a concrete symbol of the album. The research aim is to describe the design of Latvian metal music album covers in 2019 in the visual context of the albums issued in the world. The research was conducted using the comparative method, looking for the local and global, the typical and different in the visualisation of album covers on the basis of not only theoretical literature but also the many years of experience of the author as a musician and a collector of music records. In general, the visual look of album covers issued in Latvia is typical for heavy metal music and fits in with the visual design of metal band albums in the rest of the world. However, there have been attempts to include eye-catching accents using national or pseudo-national elements or colours.

Abstract:
The aim of the study is to describe metal music albums of the year 2018 from the genre, textual and artistic aspects, looking for the common and diverse in the Latvian metal music world. It is recognised that there is still no unified collection of Latvian rock and metal music resources, and that makes the researcher’s work more interesting. Even though only ten metal albums came out in 2018, their metal styles are quite wide-ranging from symphonic metal and through thrash, groove, industrial metal to classic heavy metal, which is also played in an acoustic format. Album designs, in the author’s opinion, are classic but qualitative and do not damage the first impression, especially designs of those albums that were released on physical media. Because physical media is becoming an exclusive case, the trend continues to sell albums only in digital format (at least at first); this has been done by the bands “Revelation Attic”, “Yomi”, “Seira”, “NUVO”. Perhaps knowing that Latvia is too small to live on music only, as well as wishing to expand their audience and be noticed abroad, the 5 of the albums in question are recorded in English. The debuts of several newly formed bands (“Seira”, “Revelation Attic”, “Māra”) confirm the unlost interest in metal music and also show the attempts of these groups to build their way to Latvian and the world metal music scene, which manifests in their search for a strange sound (“NUVO”) or a strong female vocal use (“Oceanpath”, “Seira”, “Māra”). In general, Latvian metal music representatives continue the world’s metal music traditions, where it is extremely difficult to surprise because the number of existing bands is so large that it is almost impossible to be original, while the population of the planet is so big that many bands can access the listener so that each band also searches for its audience, both online and in concerts.

Abstract:
The Design of music album packaging in Indonesia especially Yogyakarta still fairly rare. In the midst of lethargy for physical release purchasing by music lovers. This paper would refers to: Kind of content(s) will be a visual image in the design of boxset packaging to be having a strong character. Above formulation has purpose to intend understanding ( the working role) or collaboration between graphic designers and musicians for releasing of boxset format music albums, also to identify the commodification of popular culture, making music boxset as part of the commodity of music collectors. The existence of music boxset should not be separated from the collaboration between graphic designers and musicians, because a music boxset will be in demand in the market if it is visually able to combine the collaboration to be able to invite consumer interest. Music album designers are also required to be able to innovate to the development of the media, so that music boxset can be accepted by music lovers and innovative music industry that is evolving in the digital domain.

Abstract:
Created by Hergé in 1929, Tintin is a truly successful publication, since these comic books have been translated into about a hundred languages and published throughout the world during the 20th century. Several studies have already been conducted on Tintin. However, the place and role of physical and sports activities practiced by this tireless journalist in the promotion of these highly sustainable activities have never been analyzed. Through both quantitative and qualitative analyses (descriptions, counts, frequencies and percentages), this work studies all the panels of the 23 albums of Tintin’s adventures dealing with any form of physical exercise or sport. The results indicate that the representation of physical and sporting activity in Tintin’s adventures remains steady and consistent from the first (1931) to the last book (1976). Thus, Hergé had never ceased to believe in the beneficial, physiological, psychological, moral and social effects of physical activity on his young, tireless hero. To summarize, the eternally youthful and perfectly fit, Tintin leads both his core band and occasional characters and may serve as a role model influencing young 20th century readers toward the benefits of an active lifestyle.

Abstract:
Dr Ivo Petricioli left behind a large collection of material from his activity as a photographer. Although the majority of it is in the possession of the late Professor’s family, 85 black and white negatives on 6 x 6 rollfilms grouped in three albums are housed as part of the Petricioli Collection in the Department of History of Art of the University of Zadar. The collection was formed by Petricioli himself soon after he joined the Department as a lecturer. The collection contains different photographic material: exposures and negatives on various surfaces. The physical condition of the collection is, apart from minor mechanical and chemical damage sustained by some items, satisfactory. The initial sorting of the photographic material in the collection began in 2010. Three albums marked with the label ‘PRIVATE’ on the side attracted interest. They contain 85 black and white negatives created in the period between 1958 and 1965 during the Professor’s private travels in France and Italy. The negatives are well preserved: some have only minor scratches while some were stained through the action of residual chemicals after they were developed. Apart from excellent photographs of art-historical monuments in French and Italian towns with a pronounced note of the documentary, a number of interesting vedutes can be found among the negatives. Until now, the photographic oeuvre of Dr Ivo Petricioli had been unsorted and unpublished, leaving the public unfamiliar with his photographic works, which certainly merit attention.

Abstract:
Abstract The private diaries written between 1898 and 1901 by the French jeweler, art collector, and bibliophile Henri Vever (1854-1942) provide fresh evidence about how important late-nineteenth century esthetic ‘languages’ (japonisme, Symbolism, Art Nouveau) were appropriated by artists committed to renewing the decorative arts; the diaries also address the meaning and status of books. For Vever, his extensive collection of Japanese pattern albums served, above all, a utilitarian function, as design primers and sources of information about printing and engraving techniques for craft modernizers. At the same time, included in the physical space of his ‘Japanese library’ and in line with Symbolist esthetics, Japanese books were, to Vever, suggestive bibelots, whose evocative powers were enhanced through inclusion in harmonious decors. Vever’s experiments in Art Nouveau book design, finally, reveal his additional conception of the book as both surface to be decorated and space of artistic collaboration underscoring the equality of all arts.

Abstract:
The release of physical music will never be extinct, as is technology disrupting audio technology. This article provides an explanation of physical music releases in the digital era, where vinyl records, audio and CD tapes are still consumed by connoisseurs and musicians alike. Although digital music players and online music applications such as Joox, Spotify, Apple Music or Sky Music is very important in the spread of music in the digital era. The attitude of independent musicians or who are familiar with the term indie musicians still maintains the release of physical music as a tool for the dissemination of their work. This article presents descriptive data from existing journals which are then combined with interviews to obtain depth about what shapes the attitude of indie musicians in using physical music releases and how indie musicians and indie music distributors collaborate in communicating works - indie musicians work through strategies that are done together. As well as what indie music absorbs local culture and how they influence their work and what their attitudes are. Do they not pay attention to the presence of digital distribution or even combine these two things. With the existence of this article, the description of the things that underlie the independent musicians released the music they made themselves with the release of physical albums. Abstract:
Diploma thesis deals with the influence of technologies on the music industry in terms of music distribution. In the first part the two major issues are discussed for deeper understanding of the topic. The change of perception and creation of music over certain period of time and the development of technologies related to music in historical context. Following chapters are mainly focused on current technologies, digitalization and the internet, and global turnovers which have had impact on distribution of music as a consequence of technological spread. In addition to this, the issue of legal aspects related to sharing and downloading music via internet is described. The strategies have been created and adopted by the music industry representatives as a response to the situation of increasing intensity of infringing copyright law by unauthorized sharing and decreasing number of physical media sales. The goal of these strategies has been aimed at support expansion of online music services and raising of public copyright awareness. The work analyses and assesses above mentioned strategies and estimates the possible future development of music industry. Assumptions are created on the basis of historical background and current situation. The partial objective is to evaluate whether the sales of physical media have future as a main source of income for music industry or not.

Abstract:
O grupo B relatou 38,4% de muita satisfação, 46,5% satisfação e 15,4% de pouca satisfação com o tratamento.<br>The development of stretch marks during pregnancy is considered the most common physiological change of connective tissue and there are few alternative treatments designed to soften the appearance of this change. This study developed and applied two protocols for the treatment of striae alba arising during pregnancy using microgalvanic current and checking its effects. This was an exploratory study, experimental, quantitative and qualitative approach, consisting of 26 volunteers aged between 20 and 35 years also divided into two groups. It began the study after signing the Statement of Consent. Both groups received 15 treatment sessions with the microgalvanic current modulated 100μA (microamps) being a session every 12 days apart. Group A received the treatment with the longitudinal puncturing technique and the B group received the cross puncturing technique. All participants answered a questionnaire on the intensity of pain, type of pain and satisfaction with treatment, and underwent physical therapy evaluation at the beginning, after the fifth, tenth and fifteenth session of the proposed treatment protocol. All streaks were treated, however, three streaks of each volunteer was selected to be monitored being shot and having its area, length and width analyzed using the ImageJ software, manual planimetry and pachymetry. The five sessions was a comparison of the results within each group and between groups in order to assess what is the best protocol and wherein the required amount of sessions to approximate the appearance of the striae chosen to be normal skin. Group A showed significant differences after five treatment sessions while the B group needed 15 sessions to present results similar to group A in reducing the size of stretch marks. However, the two applicable protocols were effective in reducing the size of striae. In the comparison between groups for pain intensity was found statistically significant (p = 0.000) for group A which showed greater pain than in group B. With regard to women's satisfaction with the treatment, there was no statistically significant difference between groups. In group A, 38.4% of voluntary reported great satisfaction, 53.8% and 7.7% satisfaction little satisfaction with treatment. The B group reported 38.4% of great satisfaction, 46.5% and 15.4% satisfaction low satisfaction with treatment.

Abstract:
A bunch of epidemiological studies provides good evidence on the inverse relationship associated with the consumption of fruits and vegetables and the chronic diseases importantly cardiovascular diseases and some types of cancers. After the long years of study on phytomacronutrients, the role of phytomicronutrients such as polyphenols is now highly studied and appreciated in the control of such degenerative diseases. The present study combines the extraction, synthetic and analytical studies on the major polyphenols of citrus fruits, FLAVANONES.Awareness of nutritional and health facts has increased the production of citrus fruits from last few decades. These higher productions generate higher by-products. For their alternative utilisation to have antioxidants rich extracts, the ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) of polyphenols especially flavanones from orange (Citrus sinensis L.) peel by using ethanol as afood grade solvent has been proved its efficiency when compared with the conventional method. A central composite design (CCD) approach revealed that the optimized conditions for UAE were a temperature of 40°C, a sonication power of 150W and a 4:1 (v/v) ethanol:water ratio. Furthermore, the antioxidant activity determined by the DPPH and ORAC tests confirmed the suitability of UAE for the preparation of antioxidant-rich plant extracts. Flavanone glucuronides are the major phenolic metabolites detected in human plasma after consumption of citrus fruits. Up to now all cell studies related to cancer or cardiovascular diseases were conducted either on the aglycones or on their glycosides. Hence, there is great need of pure flavanone glucuronides to demonstrate the real potential of flavanones in the prevention of these diseases. In this work, glucuronides of naringenin (4′- and 7-O-β-D-glucuronides) and hesperetin (3′- and 7-O-β-D-glucuronides), the major flavanone aglycones in grapefruit and orange respectively, have been chemically synthesized by selective protection and deprotection of flavanone and glucuronic acid moieties. The complete structural characterisation of purified compounds were realised by nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry. The affinity of the four glucuronides for human serum albumin (HSA) was tested via their ability to quench the intrinsic fluorescence of HSA (single Trp residue in sub-domain IIA). Their binding constants (K) were estimated in the range of 30 – 60 × 103 M-1 and compared with those of the aglycones (70 – 90 × 103 M-1). Investigations of competitive or noncompetitive binding of the glucuronides in the presence of fluorescent probes (dansyl sarcosine) allowed us to get some insight in the binding sites. The study was also extended to the hesperetin and naringenin chalcones (synthesised using optimized alkaline conditions), which are the biosynthetic precursors of flavanones

Abstract:
Carbon-based materials are poised to be an important class of 21st century materials, for bio-medical, bio-electronic, and bio-sensing applications. Diamond and polymers are two examples of carbon-based materials of high interest to the bio-materials community. Diamond, in its conductive form, can be used as an electrochemical bio-sensor, whilst its nanoparticle form is considered a non-inflammatory platform to deliver drugs or to grow neuronal cells. Polymers, especially when chemically modified, have been used extensively in biological environments, from anti-microbial use to drug delivery. The large-scale use of either material for biological use is limited by two factors: ease of chemical modification and the paucity of knowledge of their surface chemistry in aqueous media. This thesis addresses aspects of both these issues. The first study reported is an in situ study of the adsorption dynamics of an exemplar globular protein (bovine serum albumin, BSA) on nanodiamond using the relatively novel quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM-D) technique. For the first time, QCM-D enabled the detailed study of protein dynamics (i.e. kinetics, viscoelastic properties, overlayer structure, etc.) onto nanodiamond thin films having various surface chemistry and roughness. The dynamics of protein adsorption is found to be sensitive to surface chemistry at all stages of adsorption, but it is only sensitive to surface roughness during initial adsorption phases. Our understanding of the nanodiamond-biology interface is enhanced by this study, and it suggests that QCM-D is useful for the study of the surface chemistry of nanoparticle forms of inorganic materials. A second study concerns a novel surface functionalization scheme, based on carbene and azo-coupling chemistry, which has been recently introduced as a practical, facile method for modifying the surfaces of polymers. Using modern surface characterization techniques, it is demonstrated that a chemical linker can be attached to polystyrene surfaces using carbene-based chemistry, and that further chemical functionality can be added to this chemical linker via an azo-coupling reaction. In situ studies of protein dynamics at these interfaces were conducted using QCM-D, thus enabling a link between specific protein behaviour and the polymer surface chemical termination chemistry to be made. A third area of study of investigates the use of diamond electrodes as a bio-sensor for dopamine under physiological conditions. For these conditions, ascorbic acid interferes with the dopamine oxidation signal, in ways that render the two signals irresolvable. Various modifications are used in attempts to reduce this interference, including: small and large cathodic treatments, grafting of electro-active polymers, addition of carbon nanotubes, and hydrogen plasma treatment. Those modifications leading to the hydrogen-termination of diamond are shown to work the best. Notably, hydrogen plasma treatment effects the complete electrochemical separation of dopamine and ascorbic acid at a diamond electrode. This is the first time this has been accomplished without adding non-diamond materials to the diamond electrode surface.

Abstract:
Decreased nutrient intake, increased body requirements, and/or altered nutrient utilization are frequently combined in critically-ill patients. The initial nutritional status and the extent of the disease-related catabolism are the main risk factors for nutrition- related complications. Many complications are related to protein energy malnutrition, which is frequent in the ICU setting. Assessing nutritional status pursues several different goals. Nutritional assessment is required for patients presenting with clinical evidence of malnutrition, with chronic diseases, with acute conditions accompanied by a high catabolic rate, and elderly patients. Recording the patient’s history, nutrient intake, and physical examination, and subjective global assessment allows classification of nutritional status. All the traditional markers of malnutrition, anthropometric measurements and plasma proteins, lose their specificity in the sick adult as each may be affected by a number of non-nutritional factors. Muscle function evaluated by hand-grip strength in cooperative patients and serum albumin provide an objective risk assessment. Several nutritional indices have been validated in specific groups of patients to identify patients at risk of nutritionally-mediated complications and, therefore, the need for nutritional support. A strong suspicion remains the best way of uncovering potentially harmful nutritional deficiencies.

Abstract:
The chapter explores the environmentally sensitive design characteristics of Charles Sturt University’s Albury Wodonga campus and the outdoor learning spaces it provides. Attention will be given to exploring how the holistic and integrated nature of the campus and the environmental functionality of the site provide unique opportunities for learning within learning spaces. Examples are provided of how the natural and built environments of the campus are used as learning spaces to promote social interactions, conversations, and experiences that enhance student learning. The chapter highlights the value of outdoor environments as legitimate and critical spaces for learning within higher education. The chapter explores the benefits of designing teaching space based on strategies that are defined by personal pedagogic repertoires and practical wisdom. By enacting such strategies, it is argued that universities can develop diverse, locally appropriate, and inclusive pedagogies.

Abstract:
Ascites is the accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity and the most common complication of cirrhosis, when it is associated with a poor prognosis. It occurs only when portal hypertension has developed and is mainly due to renal sodium retention secondary to splanchnic arterial vasodilation that leads to homeostatic activation of vasoconstrictor and sodium-retaining systems. Clinical presentation is with abdominal distension. The initial evaluation of a patient with ascites must include (1) history and physical examination; (2) liver and renal function tests including serum and urine electrolytes; (3) analysis of ascitic fluid (diagnostic paracentesis) for cell count and culture, and protein/albumin concentration; other tests such as cytology (suspicion of malignancy), amylase (pancreatic disease), and polymerase chain reaction and culture for mycobacteria (tuberculosis) should be done only when the diagnosis is unclear; (4) abdominal ultrasonography for evidence of cirrhosis, portal hypertension, or malignancy. First-line manoeuvres include dietary salt restriction, and therapeutic or total paracentesis. Water restriction is only recommended if there is severe dilutional hyponatraemia. Refractory ascites is managed by repeated paracentesis or insertion of a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt. Cirrhotic patients with ascites should be considered for liver transplantation. All patients with cirrhosis and ascites are at risk of spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP). Typical symptoms are abdominal pain and fever, but the condition may be asymptomatic. Treatment with appropriate antibiotics should be started as soon as a presumptive diagnosis is made following diagnostic paracentesis. Mortality is around 10% for the acute episode and 75% at 1 year; hence (unless contraindicated), all patients with SBP should be considered for liver transplantation. Patients with cirrhosis and ascites are also at high risk of other complications.

Abstract:
The delivery of vital substrate to metabolically active tissues and vital organs is achieved and maintained by the cardiovascular system including the heart, macrovasculature, and microvasculature. This life-sustaining process requires a normally functioning vascular endothelium—a multifunctional organ system composed of physiologically responsive cells responsible for vasomotion (vascular tone), thromboresistance, and inflammoresistance. Simply by virtue of its anatomic location, the vascular endothelium is functionally complex. It defines the intra- and extravascular components, serves as a selectively permeable barrier, and provides a continuous lining to the cardiovascular system. The location of the vascular endothelium is vital to its biologic interactions with cells found within the circulation and to the vessel wall itself. The surface activity is augmented in the microcirculation, also known as the resistance bed, where the ratio of endothelial surface to circulating blood is maximal. In most vertebrates, vascular endothelial cells form a single layer of squamous lining cells (0.1–0.5 μm in thickness) joined by intercellular junctions. The cells themselves are polygonal (varying between 10 and 50 μm) and are positioned in the long axis of the vessel, orienting the cellular longitudinal dimension in the direction of blood flow. The endothelial cell has three surfaces: luminal (nonthrombogenic), subluminal (adhesive), and cohesive. The luminal surface is devoid of electron-dense connective tissue. It does, however, possess an exterior coat (or glycocalyx), consisting primarily of starches and proteins secreted by the endothelial cells. Plasma proteins, including lipoprotein lipase, α2-macroglobulin, heparin cofactor II, antithrombin, and albumin, as well as small amounts of fibrinogen and fibrin are adsorbed to the luminal surface. The surface membrane itself adds significantly to thromboresistance by carrying a negative charge that repels similarly charged circulating blood cells. The subluminal (or abluminal) surface adheres to subendothelial connective tissues. Small processes penetrate through a series of internal layers to form myoendothelial junctions with subjacent smooth muscle cells. The cohesive component of the vascular endothelium connects individual endothelial cells to one another by cell junctions of two basic types: occluding (tight) junctions and communicating (gap) junctions. Occluding junctions represent a physical link between adjacent cells, sealing the intercellular space.

Abstract:
We present a novel immobilization technique via physical adsorption of biomolecules onto a sensing surface. The immobilization technique utilizes the competitive nature of protein adsorption onto the surface, offering the selectivity and sensitivity in detecting a target molecule. The SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) sensorgrams show that three human serum proteins, albumin, Immunoglobulin G (IgG) and fibrinogen, have different adsorption strengths to the surface and the competitive adsorption of individuals controls the exchange sequence. Using the competitive adsorption and exchange, we demonstrate that IgG is selectively and sensitively detected.

Abstract:
The problem of formalizing and automating the process of recognizing human faces was touched upon at the earliest stages of the development of image recognition systems and remains relevant to this day. Moreover, over the past ten years, the number of scientific studies and publications on this topic has increased several times, which indicates an increase in the urgency of this problem. This can be explained by the fact that modern computing technology opens up new possibilities for its application in various fields, and, accordingly, a lot of applied problems have appeared that require their speedy resolution. One of the practical applications of the pattern recognition theory is face recognition, the task of which is to automatically localize a face in an image and identify a person by face. The interest in the procedures underlying the process of localization and face recognition is quite significant due to the variety of their practical applications in areas such as security systems, verification, forensic examination, teleconferences, computer games, etc. For example, the face recognition system developed at Beijing Tsinghua University has been certified by the Chinese Ministry of Public Security for use in public places. Omron Japan, which specializes in recognition, automation and control technologies, has developed a human face recognition system for mobile phones. Riya, founded by a group of specialists in facial recognition algorithms from Stanford University, has begun open testing of a Web service for contextual search of facial images in digital photo albums. The abundance of such examples indicates the practical importance and relevance of face recognition methods.
