Research on the manufacturing of experimental biodegradable films (EBF) was carried out in the laboratory. Recipes containing 8, 10, and 15% of corn and potato starch were analyzed. It was found that the EBF based on potato starch with a 10% concentration is more plastic and retains its shape well compared to other samples. Microbiological, mechanical, physicochemical, and infrared spectroscopic studies of the EBF and the biodegradable plastics (BP) available on the market in the form of packaging bags that are positioned as biodegradable (BP from ATB, BP from Silpo, BP from Roshen) were perfo

High altitude lakes are very sensitive to climate change due to their small catchment area, limited vegetation cover, surface water with low nutrients, and thin soil and low bedrock weathering rates. The present study was focused on high altitude Himalayan Lake Gosainkunda, situated at an elevation of 4300 m in the Langtang National Park, and carried out during the post- monsoon season (October) in 2010. The main aim of the study was to assess the water quality quantitatively considering the anthropogenic as well as natural impacts in the lake. The water samples were collected at six different

The avian influenza virus, subtype H9N2 subtype, defined as having a low pathogenicity, causes extensive economical losses in commercial flocks, probably due to management and synergism with other pathogens. AIV H9N2 was first identified in Israel in the year 2000, and since then it became endemic and widespread in Israel. Control by vaccination of commercial flocks with an inactivated vaccine has been introduced since 2007. In face of the continuous H9N2 outbreaks, and the application of the vaccination policy, we aimed in the present study to provide a method of differentiating naturally inf
