Abstract:
Developing teachers' ways of thinking about "good" instruction as well as their views of the teaching and learning process is generally seen as essential for improving teaching behaviour and implementation of more efficient teaching and learning settings. Major deficiencies of German physics instruction as revealed by a nationwide video-study on the practice of physics instruction are addressed. Teachers participating in the project are made familiar with recent views of efficient instruction on the one hand and develop context-based instructional settings on the other. The evaluation resulted in partly encouraging findings. However, it also turned out that a number of teachers' ways of thinking about good instruction did only develop to a somewhat limited degree. The most impressive changes occurred for teachers who enjoyed the most intensive coaching.

Abstract:
The main objective of this study is to verify on what sort of evaluation the eighteen advisors of the physical education and sport's of monographs in Portugal base their judgement when evaluating students. An anonymous and confidential questionnaire was used to verify how their evaluation is processed. Only 38,9% of the advisors explain to their advisees the criteria, parameters, types and objectives of the evaluation that are used in their evaluations. In relation to the formative evaluation, generally, the advisors, in every meeting, take their own conclusions in relation to future classifications, having to do constant feedbacks through a continuous evaluating system. Most of the advisors believe that they would be able to do a much better evaluation if they had more time to spend with their advisees. Finally, 66,7% of the supervisors believe that all the teaching courses should give higher value to the formation in the area of evaluation because it is important to know how to evaluate correctly, so as to be fairer with their students and to learn new evaluation strategies and instruments. The remaining advisors believe that there aren't enough subjects that actually train the future teachers, in their formation, how to evaluate their students.

Abstract:
Most online teaching institutions still do not offer complete remote teaching, requiring the physical presence of the student in the evaluation process (for supervisory reasons), which could aggravate the evaluation and certification in massive open online teaching. Although, there are already e-proctoring tools (electronic proctoring) that allow this process to be carried out remotely, without requiring that physical presence. For this reason, and in order for this complete remote teaching to be extended to institutions that do not yet believe in the success of its implementation, this study, through a bibliographic study and a causal study carried out by experts in online teaching, focuses on locating the determining motivational factors when accepting and implementing this evaluation system as a method of remote supervision and tries to encourage its use through them. The list obtained consists of the following motivational factors: Quality management, available information, external conditioning, trust, perceived compatibility, perceived usefulness, attitude and intention, and the most decisive factor in this whole process is trust (which would be the extent of security and privacy that institutions have in the use of this tool).

Abstract:
Sport Statistics is an important applied subject in physical education field. Traditional teaching cannot meet its teaching demand. As a result, teachers are difficult in teaching and students are difficult in learning. Thus, it is very necessary to combine Sport Statistics with network teaching. In this study, the students of sports specialty were chosen as the objects of study, and “double-subject” teaching mode was used to teach Sport Statistics. Sport Statistics was combined with network course, and a new Web-based online courseware making platform system was applied. Besides, a network course quality evaluation model was constructed, and the evaluation was conducted from 7 aspects: teaching content U1, teaching design U2, course resource U3, page design U4, technical force U5, teacher as the subject U6 and user experience U7. It is found that “double-subject” teaching mode can significantly improve the teaching effect of Sport Statistics, motivate students’ learning interest, promote students’ oral expression ability, generalization and summarization ability, and self-learning ability, and enhance students’ ability to analyze and solve problems.

Abstract:
LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in Chinese; abstract also in English. This study seeks to build an evaluation model for physical education. Based on the concept of physical education quality, the questionnaire for physical education is constructed. Binominal probability distribution theory is applied to evaluate the proportion of the degree of importance and satisfaction for physical education. To evaluate the quality of physical education, the PZB concept proposed by Parasurman, Zeithaml and Berry (1985) is used to test the difference between the proportion of the degree of importance and satisfaction. Each quality performance item of education could be evaluated by figuring out the difference between the proportion of the degree of importance and satisfaction, therefore the improvement or correction could be taken if needed.

Abstract:
<p>In this paper, the author examined the relationships between teacher characteristics and teacher teaching skills and the concomitant effects of the relationships on senior secondary school students’ achievement in Physics. It was hypothesized that teachers who were well qualified (that is read physics/mathematics and education in universities) and has considerable years of teaching experience would demonstrate appropriate teaching skills as measured by good lesson preparation, lesson presentation and evaluation of the objectives of the lesson. It was further hypothesized that demonstration of such appropriate teaching skills would encourage students to learn better and do well in Physics. To test these hypotheses, twenty senior secondary school Physics teachers and 863 senior secondary school Physics students were randomly selected from twenty-four senior secondary Schools (SSS) in Ogun and Oyo States, Nigeria. The study lasted for four weeks. Each teacher was observed for 10 lessons and rated using Teacher-students Interaction Observation Schedule. At the end of the fourth week Physics Achievement Test was administered to the students. Results showed that there was a significant and positive relationship between teacher characteristics and teachers’ skill in lesson preparation, presentation and evaluation. Experienced and qualified teachers demonstrated appropriate teaching skills. It was found out that experience and qualified teachers had adequate skills to prepare for physics teaching in schools. It was found that teacher characteristics had influence on students’ achievement in Physics. However, the mediating effect of teacher teaching skills had non-significant effect on students’ achievement in Physics. The results suggest that only qualified people should be employed to teach Physics in senior secondary schools. </p>

Abstract:
The study in this research is aimed to see the description of anxiety on teacher candidates based on direct experiences encountered during the teaching practice at school. Many factors causing a teacher candidate to experience anxiety, including cognitive domain, somatic domain, and pedagogic domain factors. This study used a qualitative method with phenomenological approach. Subject used in the study were selected by using the purposive sampling technique, in which teacher candidates are those who have passed the micro-teaching prerequisite subject. The reflection analysis results of teachers candidates indicate that they experienced anxiety during their initial activities at school. Teacher candidates lost the feeling as the time passed and when they have adapted to the environment and condition of students. Some discovered reasons have caused anxiety on teacher candidates when they conduct direct teaching practices in class, such as getting anxious about not being able to deliver materials properly according to the pre-made plans in the learning implementation plan (PPL) and getting anxious about not being able to be a good teacher. Reflection results provide an illustration of how the correlation among psychological factors also needs to be considered in preparing teacher candidates who are ready to directly implement learning in class. This condition indicates the need for in-depth and comprehensive studies regarding psychological factors, and can be made as the evaluation material for education providers of teacher candidate to put their attention on this matter. Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to address the most significant contributions of pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) involved in teaching physics. Most studies have observed the characterizations of PCK via specific content in the lower secondary and upper secondary curricula. Here, we present a number of studies that show evidence for the development of some PCK components, including those that present PCK as an articulating axis for physics teacher training models. The present work is a descriptive study that analyzes, by means of a case study, the changes in PCK through a physics teacher training intervention program. This program is based on reflections about teaching, concerning the electric field in physics education. The results show that categories, such as knowledge about the curriculum and teaching strategies, evolved after the intervention program, in contrast with knowledge about evaluation and pupils. This suggests that an approach involving a teacher’s reflection on what he/she designs allows for progression towards a teaching and learning process that is more focused on innovative tendencies.

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to determine the possibilities of digital technolo-gies and case study method in the development of creativity of the future teachers in physics teaching through the medium of a foreign language. The Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University has created computer models of various physical processes and phenomena on the basis of Optics in English training course and has developed a method of their application. Since English opens the way to the formation of creativity, we have evaluated the effectiveness of the methodology we have developed, through the evaluation of creativity. The nearly 73 students were engaged in an experiment presented below in chronological order. The reliability of results obtained at the beginning and at the end of forming stage for each criteria of creativity, as well as for the integral indicator is provided by Pearson criterion . At the beginning of the experiment it is seen that that means there are no differences between the development level of students’ creativity from both experimental and target groups. At the end of the experiment , that means there are significant differences in the development level of students’ creativity.

Abstract:
Evaluation of online teaching quality has become an important issue because many universities are turning to online classes due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In this paper, online teaching quality evaluation is considered as a linguistic multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problem. Generally, the evaluation sematic information can be symmetrically or asymmetrically distributed in linguistic term sets. Thus, an extended linguistic MAGDM framework is proposed for evaluating online teaching quality. As the main contribution, the proposed method takes into account the risk preferences of assessment experts (AEs) and unknown weight information of attributes and sub-attributes. To be specific, the Delphi method is employed to establish a multi-level evaluation indicator system (EIS) of online teaching quality. Then, by introducing the group generalized linguistic term set (GLTS) with two risk preference parameters, a two-stage optimization model is developed to calculate the weights of attributes and sub-attributes objectively. Subsequently, the linguistic MAGDM framework was divided into two stages. The first stage maximizes the group comprehensive rating values of teachers on different attributes to obtain partial ranking results for teachers on each attribute. The latter stage maximizes the group comprehensive rating values of teachers to evaluate the overall quality. Finally, a case study is provided to illustrate how to apply the framework to evaluate online teaching quality.

Abstract:
The main goal of this study was to examine the extent to which different teaching instructions focused on the application of laboratory inquire-based experiments (LIBEs) and interactive computer based simulations (ICBSs) improved understanding of physical contents in high school students, compared to traditional teaching approach. Additionally, the study examined how the applied instructions influenced students? assessment of invested cognitive load. A convenience sample of this research included 187 high school students. A multiple-choice test of knowledge was used as a measuring instrument for the students? performance. Each task in the test was followed by the five-point Likert-type scale for the evaluation of invested cognitive load. In addition to descriptive statistics, determination of significant differences in performance and cognitive load as well as the calculation of instructional efficiency of applied instructional design, computed one-factor analysis of variance and Tukey?s post-hoc test. The findings indicate that teaching instructions based on the use of LIBEs and ICBSs equally contribute to an increase in students? performance and the reduction of cognitive load unlike traditional teaching of Physics. The results obtained by the students from the LIBEs and ICBSs groups for calculated instructional efficiency suggest that the applied teaching strategies represent effective teaching instructions.

Abstract:
Recent decades have seen a dramatic rise in student evaluation of teaching (SET). However, they have overwhelmingly focused on quantitative ratings, neglecting students’ written feedback. This study addresses the lack of qualitative research on SET by applying a semantic theory and computational methods for analysing the language of positive feedback comments provided by students of the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Russia. Analysing a corpus of student commentary about teaching also contributes to the theory of pragmatics as the approach to analysing qualitative evaluations of teaching is based on the premise that students’ positive feedback can be treated as a sort of the compliment/praise speech act reflecting cultural specificity. Our findings showed that quantitatively the most common semantic pattern used by HSE students is ACTOR + (AUGMENTOR) EVALUATOR + PHYSICAL/MENTAL ACTION PERFORMED BY THE ACTOR + (AUGMENTOR) EVALUATOR. Thus, HSE students tend to praise the teacher more often than the other components of the teaching process and the teacher’s behaviour, thoughts, and feelings are viewed as more important than skills and speech.

Abstract:
As a major index for improving English teaching ability in colleges and universities, English class-room teaching level serves as an important guarantee for enrolling excellent would-be students, and plays a crucial role in enhancing the competitiveness of English major. For this reason, this paper studies the evaluation of English classroom teaching level in colleges and universities. An evaluation index system is established by analyzing the selecting principles for evaluation indexes of English classroom teaching level. Furthermore, such evaluation is graded, and the fuzzy membership of an evaluation object concerning various indexes in different grades is worked out. Then, AHP method is employed to obtain the corresponding weight of evaluation indexes, so as to establish a multi-index measurement model of English classroom teaching level in colleges and universities based on fuzzy system theory. The result of case study demonstrates that the presented model is feasible.

Abstract:
Lesson planning is a crucial roadmap guiding the teacher before the implementation of the lesson. In the current study, we aimed at reviewing pedagogical documents used by Rwandan physics teachers. We gathered 32 lesson plans related to optics topics from five teachers and analyzed them using the lesson plan analysis protocol (LPAP) and lesson plan evaluation form (LPEF) jointly. We have found that teachers do not prepare these documents as required by the newly introduced competence-based curriculum. Teachers plan for low levels of Bloom's cognitive and affective taxonomy domains and do not follow effective inquiry techniques along the stages of the lesson activities. A detailed discussion on each teacher’s practice was provided, and we hope it can serve as a qualitative overview on teaching and learning planning for effective classroom implementation. Due to the importance of pedagogical documents on effective teaching, we went through a rigorous validation process and suggested a model lesson plan to be consulted by any physics teacher (please see Appendix C). We recommend that teachers consult this lesson plan and prepare accordingly before class.

Abstract:
The current decline in the performance of secondary school students in Physics in the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) has become a major concern for the stakeholders in the field of education. This may perhaps, be partly due to the strict adherence of Physics teachers to the use of conventional teaching method in teaching Physics. This study was therefore carried out with the aim of evaluating the comparative effectiveness of Self-instructional Print Media and the conventional teaching method on secondary school students’ achievement in Physics in Osun State. A non-randomised control group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental research design was adopted for the study. Self-Instructional Printed Material in Physics (SIPMP), Lesson Plan in Physics (LPP), Entry Behaviour Test in Physics (EBTP) and Achievement Test in Physics (ATP) were the research instruments used in this study. One hundred and seventy three (173) SSS II students from six intact classes of six purposively selected secondary schools in Osun State constituted the sample of the study. These students were randomly assigned into the three quasi-experimental groups, namely: Self-instructional Print Media alone (SIPM alone), Self-instructional Print Media with the conventional Teaching Method (SIPM with CTM) and the Conventional Teaching Method alone (CTM alone). The three groups were tested prior to and after their exposure to the experimental treatment. The data collected were analysed to answer the five research questions and test the four hypotheses raised for the study using mean scores, t-test, ANOVA and ANCOVA at 0.05 level of significance. The findings of this study indicated that the three groups were equivalent or homogeneous prior to the application of the experimental treatment. The three groups also recorded significant improvement in their achievement in physics after being exposed to the experimental treatments. However, the students that were exposed to the self-instructional print media (whether independently or conjointly with the conventional teaching method) significantly outshone their counterparts that were taken through the conventional teaching method alone. Based on these findings, secondary school physics teachers were admonished to embrace the use of self-instructional print media to promote effective and efficient teaching and learning of Physics. They were also encouraged not to completely abandon the use of the conventional teaching method.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT It is particularly important to improve the quality of physical education curriculum and the overall health level of college students. It is difficult to achieve a comprehensive evaluation of the original evaluation method of students' physical health level. Therefore, this study combined the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and physical fitness training mode to build a university physical health evaluation model. Taking X University as the experimental background, 20 students of different majors in grade 2019 were selected as experimental objects. One group (10 students) adopted the original physical education curriculum mode, and the other group (10 students) integrated physical fitness training into the physical education curriculum. Using the established health evaluation model, the evaluation scores of physical health level of two groups of college students before and after the experiment were comprehensively analyzed. The results showed that the overall score of group A students' physical health level increased; the rising rate was 2.87%. However, there was no significant change in the scores of physical health assessment of group B students. The results show that physical fitness training into the public physical education curriculum can effectively help improve the overall health level of students, and also shows that the introduction of AHP into the evaluation of College Students' physical health level can improve the comprehensiveness of health level analysis. It is hoped that this study can provide some reference for physical education teaching in Colleges and universities, so as to improve the overall teaching level of colleges and universities.

Abstract:
In this study, the impacts of sports gamification on college students’ learning motivation and learning performances were explored by training students majoring in physical education to play tennis. A total of 150 students from a physical education college were selected to participate in this experimental teaching, and they were divided into the experimental group (EG) and the control group (CG). Based on the above purposes, the differences in the teaching methods and teaching objectives of the EG and the CG is that the former uses games as a key method in tennis teaching. All participants were asked to complete questionnaires, with the purpose of evaluating the learning motivation of tennis before and after sports game intervention. Additionally, the differentiated learning motivation and learning performance between EG and CG before and after experimental teaching was tested and evaluated. Results demonstrate that students in the EG have significantly increased their intrinsic motivation and introjected regulation, thereby showing better results than CG in key test items. In addition, the above result reveals the positive role of sports gamification in promoting the learning motivation and performance of college students.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to examine the process of activities and measurment- evaluation in the sixth grade math lesson. In the study that was conducted with case study that is one of the qualitative study patterns. A primary math teacher's lessons were observed, and subsequent to the observations, semi-structured interviews with the teacher and the students were performed. The data obtained from the classroom observations demonstrated that the teacher used different variables so as to increase the quality of teaching service and present the new knowledge to the students, enabled the students to understand and use this knowledge and the teacher exhibited some negative behaviours and produced some negative utterances that influenced the quality of the teaching service. The data pertinent to the students suggested that the students demonstrated learning and thinking products, fulfilled learning needs and made some explanations regarding their performance. However, during the application process it was observed that the teacher was more involved and engaged in the class than the students were and that the acquistion of basic skills specific to the subject accomodated certain limitations. Another dimension during the application and evaluation process of the teacher showed that some difficulties were experienced on account of the stucture and design of the content and physical features of the setting. It was also found that the students had difficulty solving and constructing the problem and learning algebra and that they experienced some difficulties owing to the lack of time while evaluating the process of their learning and that the excessive number of the questions in the evaluation forms caused the students to undergo hard times. The results of the study indicate that an in-service training should be held in order to raise awareness of the teachers so that the students can be more involved in the process of learning. The other difficulties and limitations show that some reformations and reorganizations related to the structure of curriculum and the teaching setting should be performed.

The study was designed as a “case study”, which aimed to obtain qualitative and quantitative data from the selected case. 310 English preparation class students, 26 English lecturers, 26 lecturers of other departments and 24 students of other departments participated in the study. The data were gathered through a scale, questionnaire, interviews, class observations and document analysis. The study was conducted according to the four steps of the “Bellon and Handler Model”. Findings were presented according to the status descriptions, analysis activities and curriculum improvement components of the four steps. In conclusion, it was found that there were no philosophy or goals of the English preparatory curriculum. Though the students had positive motivation towards learning English, they could not reach the desired level. Moreover, the inefficacy of teaching of the skills courses was emphasized by all participants. This problem was thought result from lack of practice. There were some communication problems between the administration and other participants. Physical facilities should be improved. Professional English teaching should be included in the preparatory school curriculum. Furthermore, the involvement of some stakeholders in the decision-making process should be enabled.

Abstract:
This study was conducted to develop temperature and heat learning media for high school students to improve their critical thinking skills regarding the phenomena related to temperature and heat material. This study uses the DDDE (Decide, Design, Development, Evaluation) method. This research begins with the stages of determining digital comics as learning media, compiling storylines and sketching comic images, compiling complete comics along with character dialogues, and evaluating the final results of digital comics. Three validators carried out validation test. The results of the validation test showed that digital comics were significantly suitable to be used as supporting media for temperature and heat learning based on several criteria, including learning aspects of 89.78%, material aspects of 93%, and media aspects 93.17%. These digital comics were consequently suitable to be used as a medium for supporting online learning and had time efficiency in delivering material. The implication of this study will facilitate the teaching and learning process from home or School from Home (SFH) during the pandemic period and is expected to be developed in further studies.

Abstract:
LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in English; abstract also in Chinese.Studies done to validate most teacher evaluation systems depend on establishing the content validity of the observational instrument. The studies usually consist of a comparison between the general job description of teachers and the behaviors listed as items on the measurement tool as well as input from teachers on the importance of the behaviors included. This study attempted to assess the validity using the same two types of data, i.e. expectations for effective teaching and teacher input. However, the study took the validity issue one step farther by developing a list of effective teaching behaviors in one particular subject, namely physical education. The study asked for open-ended teacher input on what constitutes effective teaching in physical education rather than asking the teachers to respond to an established set of items.
