ZusammenfassungDie Pierre-Robin-Sequenz wurde erstmals 1923 durch den Pariser Zahnarzt Pierre Robin beschrieben. Das Krankheitsbild tritt in unterschiedlich schweren Ausprägungsformen in Erscheinung. Ihnen allen gemeinsam ist das Vorliegen einer Mikrognathie des Unterkiefers, einer Glossoptose und einer obstruktiven Atmungsstörung. In ca. 60 % der Fälle ist eine mediane Gaumenspalte vorhanden (9). Im Folgenden sollen das Therapiekonzept unserer Klinik aufgezeigt und exemplarisch an einem Behandlungsbeispiel unsere Erfahrungen mit der „Tübinger Gaumenplatte“ (2) vorgestellt werden.

Abstract:

Silicified granites were used to build the Romanesque monuments in the city of Ávila, Spain. The building stones comprise two types of granite based on their technical properties and colour: Bleeding Stone (Piedra Sangrante) and Ochre Granite (Caleño). They were used as a facing stone in the city´s Romanesque monuments of the 12th century (e.g. the cathedral and church of San Pedro), and the famous city walls that constitute the best example of military Romanesque Spanish architecture. During the Gothic and Renaissance periods of the 13th and 15th centuries, silicified granites were used mainly to build ribbed vaults, the voissoirs of the arches, and elements of the windows in the monuments of Ávila. Silicified granites are found in the intermediate and upper part of a complex palaeoweathering zone or mantle developed on the Iberian Hercynian Basement which underlies much of the western Iberian Peninsula. The silicification occurred during tropical conditions in the Mesozoic. The weathered mantle was truncated by Alpine tectonic movements during the Tertiary, and its remnants were unconformably overlain by more recent sediments in the western and southern part of the Duero Basin and along the northern edge of the Amblés Valley graben. The historical, and now protected, quarry is located in a village called La Colilla, about 5 km from the city of Ávila. Currently, this stone is exploited only for restoration work performed in the city, for example the Walls of Ávila, and the church of San Pedro. The resource is limited and being depleted, so the stone will be scarce in the near future. Consequently, these silicified granites should be recognized as a Global Heritage Stone Resource. The specific technical properties of these stones and their historic use, decay patterns, durability, and suitability for conservation treatments combine to support its designation as a Global Heritage Stone Resource.RÉSUMÉDes granites silicifiés ont été utilisés pour construire les monuments romans dans la ville d’Ávila, en Espagne. Les pierres de construction comprennent deux types de granite selon leurs propriétés techniques et leur couleur : Bleeding Stone (Piedra sangrante) et Ochre Granite (Caleño). Ils ont été utilisés comme pierre de revêtement de monuments romans du 12ème siècle de la ville (par exemple la cathédrale et de l'église de San Pedro), et pour les célèbres remparts de la ville qui constituent le meilleur exemple de l'architecture espagnole romane militaire. Durant les périodes gothique et Renaissance des 13e et 15e siècles, les granites silicifiés ont été utilisés principalement pour construire des croisés d'ogives, des voussoirs d’arcs et des éléments de fenêtres des monuments d’Ávila. Les granites silicifiés se trouvent dans la partie intermédiaire et supérieure d'une zone complexe de paléo-altération ou de manteau développée sur le socle ibérique hercynien qui supporte une grande partie de la péninsule ibérique occidentale. A environ sept kilomètres à l'Ouest d'Apollonia, au lieu-dit Gasr-as-Suwayrah (indication donnée par S. Stucchi), on remarque, dominant l'étroite plaine côtière, non loin du pied du djebel, un amas de ruines partiellement envahies par des buissons. Les membres de la Mission archéologique française ont reconnu ces ruines en mai 1978, sans pouvoir pousser leur examen au-delà d'une étude sommaire des vestiges actuellement visibles de l'édifice: il n'a pas été possible de procéder à un nettoyage, ni au déplacement des blocs écroulés, ni à des travaux de sondage ou de fouille. Toutefois l'architecte de la mission, Gilbert Hallier, a pris à cette occasion les mesures et les croquis de tous les éléments accessibles, ce qui lui a fourni une base d'étude suffisante pour proposer une interprétation et une restauration graphique du monument. Il s'agit d'un grand pigeonnier construit en pierre de taille, avec beaucoup de soin. C'est jusqu'à présent le seul bâtiment de ce genre qui ait été signalé en Cyrénaïque. R. G. Goodchild avais déjà remarqué cet amas de ruines. Il n'avait pas échappé à S. Stucchi, qui lui a consacré quelques lignes dans son ouvrage magistral Architettura Cirenaica en 1975. Voici comment il le décrit (p. 519): ‘una grande colombaia circolare in muratura di grossi blocchi, che all' interno presentano file regolari di nicchiette per in nidi’. L'étude de G. Hallier confirme pleinement ce que S. Stucchi avait justement noté. Elle permet désormais de proposer de ce colombier une image précise qui enrichit notre connaissance du paysage rural en Cyrénaïque.

Abstract:

La escritura biográfica, como género, alberga en su interior una gran diversidad de métodos, enfoques, miradas y modelos que comparten un rasgo central: se trata de textos interpretativos, pues ningún pasado individual se puede reconstruir fielmente. En este sentido,cabe referirse a algunas de las más importantes biografías existentes sobre el Che Guevara, como La vida en rojo, de Jorge G. Castañeda, (Alfaguara 1997); Che Ernesto Guevara. Una leyenda de nuestro siglo, de Pierre Kalfon (Plaza y Janés, 1997); Che Guevara. Una vida revolucionaria, de John Lee Anderson (Anagrama, 2006) y Ernesto Guevara, también conocido como el Che, de Paco Ignacio Taibo II (Planeta, 1996). Por otro lado, en la vida del Che, hay silencios oscuros que las biografías no cubren, salvo de manera muy superficial. Algunos de estos vacíos son retomados por la literatura, por ejemplo, a través de la novela de Abel Posse, Los Cuadernos de Praga.

Abstract:

Children with craniofacial abnormalities associated with retromicrognathia and glossoptosis often have compromised upper airway flow. In severe cases, emergency intubation is necessary immediately after birth, and tracheostomy is advocated to manage the airway in the neonatal period and to allow for feeding. Early intervention with bilateral mandibular osteogenesis avoids the need for tracheostomy, along with its complications, and it targets the primary etiologic factor of the problem—the anomalous anatomy of the mandible. We report two neonates with severe Pierre Robin sequence managed with bilateral mandibular distraction osteogenesis on day 9 and day 11 of life. The surgical techniques and distraction and consolidation periods were similar apart from the distraction devices used. The procedures were successful with early extubation (day 5 and day 7), oral feeding tolerance (day 11 and day 13) and hospital discharge (day 19 and day 18). Total mandibular distraction was 19 mm and 23.45 mm, respectively. No major complications were reported. Medium to long-term results were good. Bilateral mandibular distraction osteogenesis in the neonate is a safe and accurate procedure and is the primary option in cases of selected severe Pierre Robin sequence.

Abstract:

Key contemporary sociological theorists, such as Foucault or Habermas rarely explicitly discussed gender in their studies. This fact has not caused a lack of interest in the critical examination of the theoretical systems of these authors within a feminist perspective. During the 1990?s feminists? attention was drawn to Pierre Bourdieu?s social theory. French sociologist?s study Masculine Domination deals with issues of gender dynamics and its reproduction. In this study the persistence of the asymmetric distribution of social power between women and men is explained by concepts of habitus and symbolic violence. As this article will show, social change cannot be explained by Bourdieu?s concept of habitus, as a key link between social structure and action, due to its reduction of actors to socialized bodies, which are practically deprived of any true action potential. On the other hand, with regard to social activism as a permanent feature of feminist theory, this paper seeks to examine whether critical examination of Bourdieu?s conceptual apparatus achieves to provide the means to overcome the aforementioned shortcomings of the theoretical system of French sociologist. In other words, this article seeks to answer the question whether such a modification of habitus is possible, which will allow for actors whose action is truly structured and structuring, and lead to possible change of existing power relations.
