Abstract:

Obiektem artykułu jest dziewięć listów ze zbiorów Litewskiego Państwowego Archiwum Historycznego w Wilnie (LVIA). Nie wszystkie listy są datowane, prawdopodobnie pochodzą one z lat 1850−1860, które były dla poety latami najaktywniejszej działalności twórczej. Syrokomla mieszkał wtedy najpierw w Borejkowszczyźnie (16 km od Wilna), a później w samym Wilnie. W tym okresie poeta był bardzo popularny, ale nie gwarantowało to ani jemu, ani jego rodzinie dobrobytu i spokoju. Jak wynika z analizowanych listów, Syrokomla miał poważne problemy finansowe, a jednocześnie starał się o załatwienie pracy dla innych osób, krewnych i znajomych. Adresatami analizowanych listów są cztery osoby: Władysław Fiorentini (4 listy), Ludwik Wróblewski (1), Rudolf Piesanka (3) oraz nieznany z nazwiska Paweł (1). Listy do Wróblewskiego oraz do Piesanki mają charakter oficjalny, pozostałe - prywatny, cytuję je w całości.

Abstract We compared the application of IC2, a minimal-risk (25B) botanical compound containing 10% rosemary oil, with bifenthrin, a commonly used synthetic compound, and with water for the control of Ixodes scapularis Say (=Ixodes dammini Spielman, Clifford, Piesman & Corwin), on tick-infested grids in Maine, in an area where Lyme disease is established and other tick-borne diseases are emerging. High-pressure sprays of IC2, bifenthrin, and water were applied during the peak nymphal (July) and adult (October) seasons of the vector tick. No ticks could be dragged on the IC2 grids within 2 wk of the July spray, and few adult ticks were found in October or the following April. Similarly, no adult ticks could be dragged 1.5 wk after the October IC2 spray, and few the following April. No ticks were found on the bifenthrin grids after either spray through the following April, whereas substantial numbers of ticks remained throughout on the grids sprayed with water. Thus, IC2 appears to be an effective, minimum-risk acaricide to control the vector tick of Lyme disease.

Abstract:

Why are low-energy ions relevant to the surface processing of electronic materials? The answer lies in the overriding trend of miniaturization in microelectronics. The achievement of these feats in ultrasmall architecture has required surface processing capabilities that allow layer addition and removal with incredible precision. The resulting benefits of greater capacity and speed at a plummeting cost per function are near legendary.The ability of low-energy ions to enhance the precision of surface etching, cleaning, and deposition/growth processes (Figure 1) provides one basis for the interest in ion-assisted processes. Low-energy ions are used, for example, to enhance the sharpness of side walls in plasma etching and to improve step coverage by metal layers in sputter deposition. Emerging optoelectronic applications such as forming ridges for wave-guides and ultrasmooth vertical surfaces for lasers further extend piesent requirements, and low-energy ions again provide one tool to help in this area of ultraprecise materials control. Trends associated with the decreased feature size include the movement from wet chemical processing to dry processing, the continuing need for reductions in defect densities, and the drive toward reduced temperatures and times in process steps.How do the above trends focus interest on studies of low-energy ion-assisted processes? In current applications, these trends are driving the need for increased atomic-level understanding of the ion-enhancement mechanisms, for example, in reactive ion etching to minimize defect production and enhance surface chemical reactions.

Los microorganismos se encuentran presentes en todos los ambientes y son capaces de sintetizar productos útiles para el hombre, representan unos pocos centenares de especies de entre las más de cien mil descritas en la naturaleza. La biotecnología tiene un carácter interdisciplinario y por medio de sus herramientas, permite la obtención de productos a partir de materias primas, incidiendo sus aplicaciones sobre alimentos, industria agroalimentaria, medicina, producción industrial, medio ambiente y producción de energía, siendo el uso de microorganismos una constante en la mayoría de las áreas. La importancia de la biotecnología blanca radica en el diseño de productos y la aplicación de procesos biotecnológicos como alternativa a procesos químicos convencionales, que conlleven ventajas económicas y medioambientales y reduzcan o eliminen el uso y generación de sustancias peligrosas. El presente trabajo, resume la investigación de varios años desarrollada en el PIENSA-UNI, con el propósito de colectar microorganismos provenientes de diferentes fuentes, aislarlos e identificarlos por vía molecular, para finalmente desarrollar bioprocesos que contribuyan a la solución de problemas ambientales (biorremediación de metales pesados, de suelos, de pesticidas, de petróleo, biolixiviacion, manejo de residuales industriales), desarrollo de aplicaciones agrícolas (estimuladores del crecimiento, biofertilizantes, bioinsecticidas) e industriales como producción de diferentes enzimas.

Abstract:

Abstract Field experiments with 12 winter wheat cultivars, which differed in N grain concentration, were established with three variants of N fertilisation (N0 = 0 kg N/ha, N1 = 100 kg N/ha, N2 = 200 kg N/ha) in the vegetative years 2004/05 and 2005/06 in Piestany (Borovce). The aims of experiment were to find out the effect of N applied (Nf) and available N (Nfs) on differences in N uptake and N utilisation. From the primary data of traits, grain yield (GY kg/ha), biomass production (BP kg/ha), and N concentration in grain (Ng) and in straw (Ns), other characteristics (NUP, NUE, NUTE) for available and applied N (Nfs, Nf, respectively) were calculated. In available N, significant differences were seen among cultivars in all characteristics but in applied N differences in NUP and NUTE among cultivars were not significant. Genetic correlations among traits and characteristics were modified by N environment. Grain N concentration (Ng) was, at the low N rate, in a negative correlation with NUE (r = -0.683+) and in a strong negative correlation with NUTE (r = -0.956++). At a high N rate, these correlations had the same character, but were weaker and not significant (r = -0.560 and r = 0.570). Grain N concentration (Ng) was more determined by efficiency of N translocation than by quantity of N uptake. Selection on the higher NUPE and NUE will be limited by negative correlation between BP and N biomass concentration and by low genetic variability of all characteristics of N uptake and utilisation.

Abstract:

Within the German Collaborative Research Center 39 PT-PIESA the forming of micro cavities into aluminum sheets is one challenging task. During this forming process high forces and stresses occur which lead to a high tool wear. Hence, the actually applied cold forming process should be replaced by a warm forming process. This paper shows the tribological investigations for the warm forming process. Within the experiments the barrel compression test is used to determine the friction conditions by varying the size of the cylindrically shaped samples of AlMg4,5Mn0,7, the forming degree and the lubrication condition (dry, graphite, forming oil). The flat punches were made from hardened steel 1.3343. The friction factor was calculated, and surface roughness was evaluated by 3D-laser microscopy. The experiments show that the friction factor increases, especially at forming degrees below 1 and for small specimen size, compared to cold forming processes. In addition to that, an influence of the lubrication condition onto the surface roughness was observed. For experiments conducted with graphite, the surface roughness is significantly higher than for samples, which were formed dryly or with forming oil.

Abstract:

The Collaborative Research Centre SFB/TR 39 PT-PIESA is developing mass production technologies and process chains for the fabrication of aluminium piezo composites, which can be used as raw material for "smart sheet metal" [1]. Microstructuring by forming is a challenging task concerning material flow, tool and process design [2]. In this study, a hybrid forming process combined of micro impact extrusion and shear displacement is presented and discussed. The formed microstructure, depicted in figure 1, consists of ten parallel primary cavities with cross sections of 0.3×0.3 mm² and four larger secondary cavities which are surrounding the primary cavities. High demands are made concerning precision and reproducibility of the cavities' geometry according to the function of the cavities, which is to serve as collets for sensitive piezo rods. The microstructure has to be formed with one stroke of the stamp. Micro backward impact extrusion is chosen for structuring the primary cavities since it allows accurate forming without aligning die plate and stamp due to a flat die plate. Shear displacement forming, which is the selected process for the secondary cavities, requires a structured and aligned die plate but the forming forces are significantly lower than forming the same geometry with an extrusion process which in turn increases the accuracy. The investigations are focused on the characterization of samples formed with the hybrid process in comparison to structures which are formed solely by impact extrusion. Geometric parameters, material flow and process parameters were evaluated to assess the hybrid process. First experiments show promising results, whereas higher degrees of deformation could be reached at lower forming forces. Exemplary, sections for both processes are depicted in figure 2.

Abstract:

Recent research has shown that many parasite populations are made up of a number of epidemiologically distinct strains or genotypes. The implications of strain structure or genetic diversity for parasite population dynamics are still uncertain, partly because there is no coherent framework for the interpretation of field data. Here, we present an analysis of four published data sets for vector–borne microparasite infections where strains or genotypes have been distinguished: serotypes of African horse sickness (AHS) in zebra; types of Nannomonas trypanosomes in tsetse flies; parasite–induced erythrocyte surface antigen (PIESA) based isolates of Plasmodium falciparum malaria in humans, and the merozoite surface protein 2 gene (MSP–2) alleles of P. falciparum in humans and in anopheline mosquitoes. For each data set we consider the distribution of strains or types among hosts and any pairwise associations between strains or types. Where host age data are available we also compare age–prevalence relationships and estimates of the force–of–infection. Multiple infections of hosts are common and for most data sets infections have an aggregated distribution among hosts with a tendency towards positive associations between certain strains or types. These patterns could result from interactions (facilitation) between strains or types, or they could reflect patterns of contact between hosts and vectors. We use a mathematical model to illustrate the impact of host–vector contact patterns, finding that even if contact is random there may still be significant aggregation in parasite distributions. This effect is enhanced if there is non–random contact or other heterogeneities between hosts, vectors or parasites. In practice, different strains or types also have different forces of infection. We anticipate that aggregated distributions and positive associations between microparasite strains or types will be extremely common.

Abstract:

În lucrarea de faţă se cercetează câteva motive din literaturile populare română şi sârbă. Aici sunt identificate temele şi motivele de bază din folclorul local, situaţiile asemănătoare din folclorul celor două popoare, sârb şi român. O istorie balcanică comună şi, îndeosebi, lupta împotriva turcilor reprezintă punctul de plecare, într-o mare parte, a legendelor sârbeşti şi româneşti (Mănăstirea Argeş şi Zidirea Cetăţii Skadar). În această lucrare încercăm să prezentăm câteva motive şi prezenţa lor în legendele celor două popoare vecine, evidenţiind atât asemănările, cât şi diferenţele. Trebuie puse în evidenţă studiile anterioare elaborate despre folclorul local şi cel balcanic, plecând de la câteva lucrări de cercetare de referinţă, a celor mai mari oameni de știință din acest domeniu. Una dintre diferenţele definitorii, care va structura întreaga semnificaţie de ansamblu a celor două creaţii populare, ţine de specificul etnic, de credinţele şi de tradiţiile fiecărui popor. Dacă la români, construcţia este o biserică, deci un lăcaş de cult, imagine a creaţiei, un arc peste timp şi peste generaţii, la sârbi construcţia este un turn de apărare împotriva turcilor. Nelimitarea lor în timp şi spaţiu este cercetată din punct de vedere al genezei edificiilor de la Argeş şi Skadar, iar Lucian Blaga vorbeşte despre timpul mitic românesc în piesa sa de teatru, despre Meşterul Manole. În varianta românească, Manole s-a sacrificat pe sine, ideea creaţiei eterne care să înfrunte timpul implicând în conştiinţa populară nevoia jertfei totale, moartea este transformată în nemurire prin edificiu şi prin fântână. Motivele comune din literatura populară română şi sârbă, sunt o consecinţă a relaţiilor de bună vecinătate şi convieţuire din acest spaţiu, iar cel mai bun exemplu îl găsim în legendele/baladele Zidirea Cetăţii Skadar şi Mănăstirea Argeşului (Meşterul Manole). Aceste legende au fost concepute în literatura populară, dar şi în cea modernă, simbolizând duhul creator al celor două popoare. Personajele principale sunt simboluri reale, căci popoarele român şi sârb au realizat ceea ce deţin astăzi, printr-o jertfire continuă, iar în istorie, foarte des, au fost obligate să piardă ceea ce au strâns dobândit cu greu de-a lungul veacurilor.

Abstract:

Дослідження гумору й сміху здійснюють у багатьох галузях когнітивної лінгвістики та психології, психо- та соціолінгвістики. Гумор розглядають як позитивну емоцію, викликану когнітивними процесами оцінки комічних висловлень у різних соціальних ситуаціях (Martin, 2007). Мета дослідження полягає в установленні когнітивнопрагматичних характеристик українського військового гумористичного дискурсу в соціальних мережах. Для досягнення поставленої мети застосовано лінгвістичні методи дискурс-аналізу, контекстуального та інтуїтивно-логічного інтерпретативного аналізу, а також психолінгвістичний метод контент-аналізу. Вивчення ґрунтується на вибарному корпусі інтернет мемів та комічних коментарів, взятих із соціальних мереж і поділених на тематичні групи. Результати дослідження засвідчили, конструктивний гумор, що охоплює 47% всіх проаналізованих текстів, має тенденцію до частотнішого використання, порівняно з іншими психолінгвістичними типами. Його прагматична мета – здійснити позитивний уплив на процес формування групи через його здатність полегшувати міжособистісні стосунки між комунікантами на основі позитивних емоцій. Самопідтримувальний гумор, що зафіксовано в 33% випадків, демонструє вміння мовця зберігати жартівливий погляд на будь-які життєві події. «Чорний» і зневажливий гумор менш поширені у дискурсі українських військових, складаючи разом 20% усіх прикладів.
