Abstract:
Cilj rada bio je utvrditi utjecaj dodavanja prebiotika, manan-oligosaharida (ActigenTM) krmnim smjesama na proizvodne rezultate pilića u tovu. U istraživanju je korišteno 300 muških jednodnevnih pilića hibrida Ross 308 koji su slučajnim izborom smješteni u dvije skupine sa šest ponavljanja. Istraživanje je trajalo 38 dana, a podijeljeno je u tri razdoblja. Tijekom istraživanja pilići iz kontrolne skupine hranjeni su 14 dana početnom krmnom smjesom (PPT-1) sa 24,4% SB, 14 dana krmnom smjesom za piliće u porastu (PPT-2) sa 21,0% SB i 10 dana završnom krmnom smjesom ( PPT-3) sa 20,1% SB. Pilići pokusne skupine hranjeni su istim krmnim smjesama, ali s dodatkom ActigenTM-a. U PPT-1 je dodano 800g/t; u PPT-2 400 g/t, a u PPT-3 200 g ActigenTM-a po toni krmne smjese. Prosječne tjelesne mase na kraju istraživanja bile su 2808,86 u kontrolnoj i 2880,42 u pokusnoj skupini, a konverzija krmnih smjesa 1,58 i 1,56 kg za kilogram prirasta. Budući da su tjelesne mase u pokusnoj skupini bile veće za 2,55%, a konverzija niža, može se preporučiti upotreba ActigenTM-a u krmnim smjesama za hranidbu pilića.

Abstract:
Osnovna uloga duboke stelje u tovu pilića i svinja je termoizolacija te upijanje fecesa i mokraće. Stelja također povećava i fizičku udobnost, zatim djeluje stimulirajuće na piliće i svinje, potičući ih da istražuju okoliš čeprkanjem, odnosno rovanjem, čime umanjuje stres i izražavanje vrsti nesvojstvenog ponašanja. Osim toga, stelja pomiješana s fecesom je i izvanredan gnoj, bogat dušičnim spojevima. O kvaliteti i vrsti stelje ovise mikroklimatski uvjeti u nastambama, proizvodni rezultati i pojava bolesti.

W artykule przedstawiono w ujęciu morfologicznym zmiany dawnych, postglacjalnych koryt Pilicy między Domaniewicami a Nowym Miastem nad Pilicą w oparciu o materiały kartograficzne z lat 1802–2017. Celem artykułu było również przypisanie Pilicy do określonego typu koryta na podstawie jej charakterystycznych cech morfologicznych. Wykazano, że na charakter dna doliny rzecznej, jak również samego koryta Pilicy, w znacznym stopniu wpłynęło wybudowanie Zbiornika Sulejowskiego.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Pseudomonas stutzeri has type IV pili for which the pilA gene (here termed pilAI) provides the structural protein and which are required for DNA uptake and natural genetic transformation. Downstream of pilAIwe identified a gene, termed pilAII, coding for a deduced protein with a size similar to that of PilAI with 55% amino acid sequence identity and with a typical leader peptide including a leader peptidase cleavage site. Fusions to lacZ revealed that pilAII is expressed only about 10% compared topilAI, although the genes are cotranscribed as shown by reverse transcription-PCR. Surprisingly, insertional inactivation ofpilAII produced a hypertransformation phenotype giving about 16-fold-increased transformation frequencies. Hypertransformation also occurred in pilAI pilAII double mutants expressing heterologous pilA genes of nontransformable bacteria, like Pseudomonas aeruginosa or Dichelobacter nodosus. The overexpression of pilAII decreased transformation up to 5,000-fold compared to that of thepilAII mutant. However, neither inactivation ofpilAII nor its overexpression affected the amounts of [3H]thymidine-labeled DNA that were competence-specifically bound and taken up by the cells. In thepilAII mutant, the transformation by purified single-stranded DNA (which depends on comA andexbB, as does transformation by duplex DNA) was also increased 17-fold. It is concluded that PilAII suppresses a step in transformation after the uptake of duplex DNA into the cell and perhaps before its translocation into the cytoplasm. The idea that the degree of the transformability of cells could be permanently adjusted by the expression level of an antagonistic protein is discussed.

Abstract:
Kvaliteta stelje je među glavnim čimbenicima o kojima ovise dobrobit i proizvodnost tovnih pilića. Intenzivan rast i razvoj pilića u tovu rezultiraju produljenim razdobljima odmora, što u kombinaciji s lošom kvalitetom stelje pogoduje pojavi kontaktnog dermatitisa na jastučićima nogu, tarzalnim zglobovima i prsima. Kontaktni dermatitis negativno utječe na zdravlje i dobrobit pilića, kvalitetu i zdravstvenu ispravnost mesa te ekonomiku proizvodnje. Glavni uzroci kontaktnog dermatitisa su vlaga i kemijske supstance u stelji koje djeluju nadražujuće, uz mnoštvo čimbenika koji utječu na njegovu pojavnost. S obzirom na utjecaj visine stelje na pojavnost kontaktnog dermatitisa, dosadašnji radovi izvještavaju o različitim, čak oprečnim rezultatima, koji iziskuju daljnja istraživanja. Dodatan naglasak potrebno je staviti na istraživanja utjecaja visine stelje na proizvodnost te kvalitetu i zdravstvenu ispravnost pilećeg mesa.

Abstract:
To create shadows and enhance ventilation, piloti is commonly used in subtropical climate areas, and the influence of piloti on outdoor environment need to be revealed. Taking the city of Guangzhou China, as an example, by adopting coupled simulation method, this work researched on the influence of piloti on wind environment in residential blocks. Firstly, a series of building cases with piloti in the center of each building was simulated, and the piloti of each case is 0%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%. Secondly, another 3 cases with 50 percent piloti ratio were simulated, and the piloti arrangement method is crossed, vertical and horizontal for each case. The results showed that, when piloti is in the center of each building, both of velocity under piloti and out of piloti area showed positive correlation with piloti ratio, and the inflection point is 60 percent and 80 percent independently. The result of another 3 cases was plotted on the figure of piloti centralized cases, and for the velocity out of piloti area, the value of these 3 cases is very close to each other and much lower than the centralized case. For the velocity under piloti area, the vertical piloti arrangement case fits the trend of centralized cases well, and the horizontal and cross piloti arrangement case is much lower than that of centralized cases.

Meso peradi značajan je animalni proizvod u prehrani stanovništva. Mišićno tkivo bogato je bjelančevinama i odlikuje se niskim sadržajem masti, te se svrstava u dijetetski proizvod. Mikroalge su bogati izvor omega-3 masnih kiselina, osobito dokozaheksaenske (DHA), i u manjim količinama eikozapentaenske (EPA). Od posebne važnosti za peradarsku industriju su nedavna istraživanja u kojima se biomasa mikroalgi učinkovito koristi u proizvodnji peradarskih proizvoda obogaćenih s polinezasićenim masnim kiselinama dugog lanca (LC-PUFA n-3). Cilj ovog istraživanja je prikazati profil masnih kiselina u mikroalgama i istražiti mogućnosti obogaćivanja peradarskog mesa omega-3 masnim kiselinama dodavanjem mikroalgi u smjese za tov pilića. U radu je prikazan pregled dosadašnjih istraživanja o deponiranju omega- 3 PUFA uporabom mikroalgi u hrani tovnih pilića.

Abstract:
The most important aspect of broiler production is feeding, whose costs represent about 70% of total costs. Thus, the growth of poultry production has been based on a strong consumer demand for products that are cheap, safe, and healthy. That kind of product is old bread, whose return from the store represent a problem for its remediation. For the use of the old bread as a feed, the European Union has promulgated a series of regulations and directives, which order a ban on its utilization without prior treatment. The most common treatments are pelleting and extrusion. In poultry, the upper limit for the use of the old bread in feedstuff is often prescribed and amounts to 15%. The aim of this paper was to determine a possibility to use 5 and 10% old brown pelleted bread in feed mixtures for broilers fattening. The study has shown that the addition of old bread significantly improves broiler production indicators. The best results and a more favorable ratio of omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids in the chicken muscles were obtained in the group fed with a 10‐percent share of old brown bread (p<0.05). Such a processed old bread can be used as a new ingredient in animal feed production as a partial replacement for maize component.

So ist die Lesung des Personennamens [O]pilius, Ma[o]pilius, Ma[ga]pilius oder Mapilius zu verwerfen. Wahrscheinlich führte der Dedikant der Inschrift den Namen M(arcus) A(urelius) [Ap]rilius. Das Gentilnomen Aprilius ist in den germanischen Provinzen und der Gallia Belgica mehrfach bezeugt.Abstract:The interpretation of a fragmentary inscription from Solothurn/Salodurum (CIL XIII 5170) needs to be emended on same points. The reading of the personal name [O]pilius, Ma[o]pilius, Ma[ga]pilius or Mapilius should be rejected. The person who dedicated the inscription was probably named M(arcus) A(urelius) [Ap]rilius. The nomen Aprilius is largely witnessed in the German provinces and in the Gallia Belgica.

Nuo pirmosios Biržų pilies pastatymo 1586–1589 m. šį reprezentacinį ansamblį plėtė ir įvairiai perstatinėjo penkios Radvilų kartos: Kristupas I (1586–1589), Kristupas II (1627–1640), Jonušas (1640–1655), Boguslavas (1661–1669), Liudvika Karolina (apie 1681–1686). Po pilies žūties 1704 m. praėjus 300 metų, galime kalbėti apie naują, iki šiol besitęsiantį pilies statinių architektūros raidos etapą. Jame ypatingą reikšmę įgavo senųjų statinių liekanų tyrimas ir išsaugojimas, buvusios architektūros ir jos konstrukcijų atkūrimas, autentiškų mūrų liekanų eksponavimas. Straipsnyje, remiantis istoriografine ir autoriaus sukaupta architektūros tyrimų bei ansamblio restauravimo ir atkūrimo medžiaga, pateikiamas išsamus Biržų pilies architektūros ir jos kaitos vaizdas. Daugelis išvadų daroma remiantis ilgamete darbų prie Biržų pilies ansamblio patirtimi.

Abstract:
In order to solve the problems of the easy breakage, transport problems and pile holes shrinkage, a sleeve piling machine was designed. It included a fully used pile frame, a novel pile driver and its piling method. The piling machine integrated the advantages of the diesel hammer piling machine and the vibration hammer piling machine. It is suitable for bored piles and compacted piles. Based on the sleeve pile tubes, the diesel hammer and the vibration hammer worked together to drill. Then the reinforcing cage was lifted by the hoister, the pile tubes were pulled and the concrete were poured with the help of the vibration hammer. All of them can avoid the shrinkage of the pile, the break of the pile, and improve construction efficiency. Besides, finite element analysis of the pile tubes were calculated by ANSYS, the results showed that the strength of the pile tubes was satisfied with the requirements of application. The piling machine and the method were feasible.

Environmental assessments of proposed infrastructure projects include an appraisal of the vibration that would be generated by potential construction methods. This paper considers one part of that process: prediction of groundborne vibration from percussive piling. Various methods for predicting the magnitude of the groundborne vibration generated by percussive piling have been described in the literature. In general, the accuracy of the predictors is limited. The paper investigates the reasons for this, through the development of theoretical models and analysis of field data from an extensive programme of on-site vibration monitoring. It is found that some widespread assumptions about the relationship between the energy rating of a percussive piling hammer and the vibrational energy developed in the ground are invalid. Ground conditions are shown to have a dominant influence on the magnitude of the groundborne vibration generated by percussive piling, and piling vibration predictors which take no account of soil type yield considerably less accurate estimates than site-specific predictions.Key words: piling, vibration, monitoring, prediction, environmental assessment.

This paper introduces an innovative technology—grouted jetted precast concrete piling—that increases the efficiency of piling operations in coastal regions. The technology includes the following steps: (i) casting concrete piles factory-designed especially for jetting and grouting; (ii) jetting to drive the concrete piles with a crane on a floating ship or platform into soil; and (iii) grouting to enhance the sheet pile connections and to increase the pile bearing capacity. This technology was applied to a number of piling construction projects at the mouth of the Yellow River Delta in China, and this experience demonstrated that it is a robust, fast track, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly piling method.Key words: piling technique, sheet pile, jetting, retaining walls, coastal infrastructure, Yellow River.

The liquefaction of soil around the pile and the friction resistance between the pile-soil may be greatly affected by the various vibration conditions in the process of vibration piling. The efficiency of the pile may be affected by the above situation. And how to increase the piling speed is the key component studied in related field. The plane contact element is adapted in this paper to establish the system of pile-soil dynamics model. The piling process is simulated by changing the parameters such as, the amplitude and frequency of vibration force, and the stiffness and damping of soil. Then the influence on piling speed by every parameter can be studied. The way to raise piling speed can be achieved, and it provides theoretical guidance for practical application.

Abstract:
Ovaj rad daje prikaz sistema za detekciju stresa kod pilića tovljenika na osnovu analize zvuka njihovog oglašavanja. Skup obeležja na osnovu kojih ovaj sistem vrši prepoznavanje čine: energija, snaga, kvadratna sredina, džiter, šimer, prosečna visina zvuka, odnos harmonik-šum, izlazi iz mel-filtar banke i mel-frekvencijski kepstralni koeficijenti. Kao klasifikator iskorišćen je klasifikator na bazi vektora nosača. Tačnost sistema na nivou frejma od 50 ms varira od 61 do 88%, u zavisnosti od starosti tovljenika i izbora obeležja.

There has been an insufficient study of passive climate adaptability that considers both the summer and winter season for the outdoor thermal environment of hot-summer and cold-winter cities. In this study, we performed a quantitative simulation to research the passive climate adaptability of a residential area, considering piloti as the main method for climate adaptation in a hot-summer and cold-winter city in China. Numerical simulations were performed with a coupled simulation method of convection, radiation, and conduction. A cubic non-linear k–ε model proposed by Craft et al. was selected as the turbulence model and three-dimensional multi-reflections of shortwave and longwave radiations were considered in the radiation simulation. Through the simulation, we found that setting the piloti at the two ends of the building was the optimal piloti arrangement for climate adaptation. Then the relationship between the piloti ratio (0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%) and the outdoor thermal environment was studied. It could be concluded that with the increasing piloti ratio, the wind velocity increased, the mean radiant temperature (MRT) decreased slightly, and the average standard effective temperature (SET*) decreased to 3.6 °C in summer, while in winter, with the increasing piloti ratio, the wind velocity, MRT, and SET* changed slightly. The wind environment significantly affected the SET* value, and the piloti ratio should be between 12% and 38% to avoid wind-induced discomfort.

Through analyzing the molding process characteristics of cold-formed steel sheet piling, mechanical testing and metallographic analysis was made on the curved position of the U-shaped cold-formed steel sheet piling , the following conclusions was drawn: Cold formed steel sheet pile was subjected to the complex cross-section cold roll forming process, resulting in the uneven performance of a steel sheet piling along the horizontal. For the open cold formed steel of asymmetric steel sheet piling and complex cross section, a simple test at flat panel location is difficult to represent the overall performance of cold-formed steel, therefore it is necessary to make a comprehensive performance test on locking. A test method to check the locking occlusion performance on the cold bending steel plate is put forward. The experimental tensile strength of the Q235 level of ordinary carbon steel production of cold-formed steel sheet piling locking bite is 66MPa.

When Pillai scores are used to study vowel mergers, formants are typically sampled from the midpoint. This study compares alternative methods for calculating Pillai scores: methods that incorporate dynamic spectral information. Eighteen speakers produced 20 tokens of Hodd and hawed. Formants were sampled at 20–35–50–65–80% duration. Seven Pillai scores were calculated, each based on a different subset of those samples with temporal pooling: (i) onsets, (ii) heads, (iii) midpoints, (iv) onsets + offsets, (v) heads + tails, (vi) onsets + midpoints + offsets, and (vii) all five. Subjects also completed a vowel identification task, and the rate of identifying one low-back vowel as the other was calculated. The results of the identification task were regressed on each Pillai score separately to identify the one with the highest correlation, through model selection. Dynamic formant contours performed better than static formant values, with midpoint sampling performing worst of all. Directions are discussed for basic research on Pillai scores in phonetics.

Šiuo straipsniu pristatomi 2016 m. tyrimų rezultatai, kurių analizė verčia įdėmiau pažvelgti į medinės pilies Gedimino kalne atsiradimo chronologiją. Straipsnyje glaustai aptariami ankstesni archeologiniai lauko tyrimai Gedimino kalne. Taip pat nagrinėjami ankstesni mokslininkų darbai apie Gedimino kalno apgyvendinimą ir medinės pilies ant Gedimino kalno atsiradimo chronologinės aplinkybės archeologiniais duomenimis. 2016 m. archeologiniai tyrimai nepasižymėjo gausiu radinių kiekiu, tačiau atliktas devynių mėginių 14C datavimas. Pagrindinis šio straipsnio tikslas – publikuoti 2016 m. surinktų mėginių laboratorinio datavimo rezultatus ir, remiantis šių rezultatų statistinio modeliavimo teikiamomis galimybėmis, paskatinti tolesnę akademinę diskusiją dėl medinės pilies atsiradimo ant Gedimino kalno.

This research was conducted in Experiment Field of Agriculture Faculty SebelasMaret University at Sukosari, Jumantono, Karanganyar using Randomized Completed Block Design (RCBD) factorial with two factors of piling and potassium fertilization.There are 2 levels of piling, consists of without piling treatment (P0) and with in piling (P1).There are 3 levels of potassium fertilization consist of 250 kg ha-1 KCl, 300 kg ha-1 KCl, and 350 kg ha-1 KCl. Observation variable consist of plant height, leaf number, tiller number, biomass fresh weight per plant, biomass dry weight per plant, tuber numbers per plant, tuber weights per plant, tuber weights per plot, tuber diameter, and tuber length. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance and if there is significant difference, continue with DMRT (Duncan’s Multiple Range Test) of 5% level. The result showed that treatment with in piling (P1) can tends to increase yield of arrowroot plant on tuber numbers per plant, tuber weights per plant, and tuber weights per plot. Potassium fertilizer treatment with 350 kg ha-1 dose KCl tends to increase at growth and yield in all variables except the tiller numbers.</p>

<p>In an effort to maintain harmony between religions, the people of Adat Piling Village have formed an organization called the Joy and Grief Society, whose members consist of Hindus and Christians in the Indigenous Village of Piling.<br />Based on this background there are several issues raised, namely: 1) How do the communication strategies of the Community Grieving Society in realizing the tolerance of Hindus and Christians in the Adat Piling Village Penebel District of Tabanan Regency? in realizing tolerance between Hindus and Christians in Adat Piling Village Penebel District Tabanan Regency? 3) What is the impact of the implementation of the communication strategy of the Grieving Society and Residents towards Hindus and Christians in the Adat Piling Village Penebel District Tabanan Regency.<br />The results of the analysis obtained from this study are: 1) Communication strategies of Organizational Joy and Grief Residents in realizing tolerance between Hindus and Christians in the Indigenous Village of Piling using five types of communication, namely: a) verbal communication, b) non verbal communication, c) interpersonal communication, d) persuasive communication, and e) group communication. 2) The obstacles that exist in the implementation of the communication strategies of the People's Sorrowful Organizations are in the form of physical barriers, differences in mindset, social factors. 3) The impact arising from the implementation of communication strategies of the Community Grieving Society on Hindus and Christians in the Piling Traditional Village includes cognitive impacts, affective impacts, behavioral impacts, and social impacts.</p>

The aim of the article is to determine the impact of the structural solution of piling partitions of an innovative retention canals on the hydraulic conditions of its functioning in a specific sewerage network. Three types and different variants for controlling the operation of piling partitions were analyzed. The research shows that the construction of piling partitions has a significant impact on the achieved reduction rate of sewage outflow from the analyzed sewerage network. In addition, the construction of piling partitions also determines the volume of sewage that can be restored in sewer networks. The most tangible effects were observed when the partitions were made in the system (1), i.e. they had drainage holes of an adjustable geometry. In this example, a reduction in the peak sewage outflow from the sewage network to a value of only 531.36 dm3/s was observed, which corresponds to the value of the wastewater reduction coefficient β = 0.34. What is worth emphasizing, with the other methods of functioning of piling partitions, small values of the wastewater reduction coefficient were also obtained successively for the system (2) β = 0.35, while for the system (3) β = 0.43. On the basis of the tests carried out, it was also found that the authoritative time for dimensioning the sewerage network equipped with piling partitions always takes values higher than the reliable time for dimensioning a traditional sewerage network

AbstractType IV pili are versatile and highly flexible fibers formed on the surface of many Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Virulence and infection rate of several pathogenic bacteria, such as Neisseria meningitidis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, are strongly dependent on the presence of pili as they facilitate the adhesion of the bacteria to the host cell. Disruption of the interactions between the pili and the host cells by targeting proteins involved in this interaction could, therefore, be a treatment strategy. A type IV pilus is primarily composed of multiple copies of protein subunits called major pilins. Additional proteins, called minor pilins, are present in lower abundance, but are essential for the assembly of the pilus or for its specific functions. One class of minor pilins is required to initiate the formation of pili, and may form a complex similar to that identified in the related type II secretion system. Other, species-specific minor pilins in the type IV pilus system have been shown to promote additional functions such as DNA binding, aggregation and adherence. Here, we will review the structure and the function of the minor pilins from type IV pili.
