Abstract:
A partir de los frutos de la zarzamora (Rubus fruticosus L.) se determinó compuestos fenólicos y su capacidad antioxidante. Los compuestos fenólicos y la capacidad antioxidante se determinaron mediante los métodos del Folin Ciocalteu y del DPPH (2-difenil-1-picril hidrazilo), respectivamente. Se trabajó con frutos de zarzamora en tres grados de madurez: verde, pintón y maduro, usando, tanto, la pulpa como la cáscara, los cuales fueron tratados a tres temperaturas 60 °C, 70 °C y 80 °C; siendo el tratamiento a 80 °C el más eficiente. En la pulpa, en el grado de madurez maduro, se obtuvo una mayor extracción de compuestos fenólicos, con 0.9404 ± 0.0239 mgGAE/gf; seguido por la cáscara, en el grado pintón con 0.64413 ± 0.01891 mgGAE/gf; y por el grado de madurez verde, también en la cáscara, con 0.63522 ± 0.01446 mgGAE/gf. Para la capacidad antioxidante, el tratamiento en 80 °C, fue el más eficiente; encontrándose en la cáscara madura, 98.134% ± 1.09; seguido por la pulpa madura, con 97.154% ± 1.147 y la pulpa pintona, con 97.036 % ± 0.602. Se concluye que a mayor temperatura hay mayor extracción de compuestos fenólicos y que el grado de madurez es determinante en la capacidad antioxidante.

Abstract:
Abstract The expanded use of patrás is among the most salient features of US Spanish and commonly attributed to English influence. For Lipski (1986), it constitutes a syntactic calque from English constructions with back; Otheguy (1999) maintains it shows cultural but not linguistic influence; Villa (2005, 2010) ascribes patrás to grammaticalization processes internal to Spanish. Previous studies lack a detailed account of the semantics of the spatial adverbial in its historical and contemporary usage. Applying Talmy’s (1983) typology of motion events to corpus data, this paper traces a grammaticalization path for patrás from its historical use to its contemporary use in Nuevomexicano Spanish. Patrás has shifted from primarily atelic backwards motion meanings to primarily telic return meanings. This shift is evident across Germanic languages for adverbs deriving from the noun back and in the Romance prefix re- from Latin adverb retro. This study proposes contact with English led to an increased frequency of satellite-framed constructions in Nuevomexicano Spanish, creating the frequency conditions for innovations in the form and meaning of para atrás to conventionalize and lead to systematic linguistic change.

El presente trabajo comienza por describir los principales conceptos asociados a la inmigración internacional presente hoy en Chile para luego profundizar/analizar el modelo de trabajo que un municipio en particular, el de La Pintana (Santiago de Chile), realiza en la materia. El texto aborda la historicidad de las iniciativas locales de la comuna señalada tendientes al acompañamiento de este grupo de la población, para luego explicitar de manera directa las líneas de acción actuales que el municipio contempla y el respectivo análisis de resultados de las mismas. Desde un abordaje epistémico preocupado fundamentalmente de los métodos de trabajo que se llevan adelante y, desde la utilización de un método de investigación mixto para la obtención de resultados; la investigación busca conocer la estrategia que la Municipalidad de La Pintana lleva adelante para la creación de su primera política pública comunal en materia de migraciones internacionales y personas solicitantes de refugio.

O intestino de um pintinho é relativamente subdesenvolvido após o nascimento e estratégias de alimentação inicial devem considerar este atraso, principalmente pelas condições de estresse a qual estes animais estão submetidos logo após a eclosão. A primeira refeição do embrião é o fluido amniótico o qual é ingerido antes da bicagem interna da casca do ovo iniciando no 13º dia de incubação estendendo-se até o 18º, preparando o trato gastrointestinal para o contato com nutrientes externos após a eclosão. Considerando o padrão fisiológico de um pintinho, as reservas de carboidratos são mínimas logo após a eclosão, ocorrendo uma relação inversa entre o peso da ave jovem e as reservas de glicogênio, sugerindo que o frango moderno, de crescimento rápido, possui maior requerimento metabólico que a genética de aves utilizadas em décadas anteriores. Atualmente a alimentação in ovo tem sido considerada uma alternativa viável como suporte ao desenvolvimento precoce dos pintinhos através da utilização de soluções nutritivas injetáveis durante o período de incubação. Objetivou-se discutir as possibilidades em implantação da técnica de nutrição in ovo na cadeia produtiva do frango considerando as necessidades fisiológicas dos animais e resultados obtidos por pesquisas científicas.

Abstract:
El lulo de perro (Solanum marginatum) es una planta que se ha utilizado con fines medicinales, aplicándose de manera externa para dolores articulares y reumáticos, debido a la presencia de algunos alcaloides. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo encontrar alternativas para el manejo de ciertas enfermedades. Se cuantificó el contenido de polifenoles totales (CPT) mediante el uso del método de Folin-Ciocalteu en los frutos de S. marginatum en tres estados de maduración diferentes. Inicialmente, se realizó un tratamiento al material vegetal recolectado, realizando un secado, molienda, extracción en equipos soxhlet, y posterior concentración a presión reducida. Se encontraron valores para CPT comprendidos entre 29.881 (etanol-verde) a 192.672 (metanol-pintón) mg AG/g FS, determinando así que el metanol es el solvente que permite extraer mayor cantidad de extracto y de polifenoles del fruto de S. marginatum, y que el estado de maduración en donde hay mayor concentración de polifenoles es el pintón sin importar qué solvente se utilice. Abstract:
Les découvertes récentes de faunes à hominidés dans le Mio-Pliocène d'Afrique de l'Ouest ont remis en cause le rôle de barrière joué par le rift Est-Africain et relancé le débat sur la paléobiogéographie africaine. Dans ce contexte, l'identification des barrières biogéographiques effectives à cette période est importante. L'une des contraintes à la dispersion des faunes est le réseau hydrographique. Cette thèse a pour objectif la reconstruction de la topologie de ce réseau durant le Néogène. Nous avons utilisé le genre de poisson-chat Synodontis (Mochokidae, Siluriformes) : la large répartition actuelle de Synodontis en Afrique, sa diversité importante, l'hétérogénéité des distributions de ses espèces actuelles, ainsi que son importante représentation dans le registre fossile sous-tendent une histoire complexe au sein du réseau hydrographique africain. Jusqu'à présent, l'identification des espèces de Synodontis était basée sur des caractères d' anatomie molle. Nous avons établi un ensemble de caractères ostéologiques permettant la reconnaissance des d’espèces actuelles de Synodontis de la zone Nilo-Soudanaise. Cette étude anatomique a permis la reconnaissance des spécimens fossiles à un niveau spécifique dans le Mio-Pliocène d'Afrique (Tchad, Egypte, Tunisie, Uganda). Une phylogénie moléculaire est établie. Pour reconstruire l'histoire de Synodontis, nous avons combiné les approches anatomiques et moléculaires. L'évolution du groupe est structurée par la dorsale Centre Africaine et influencée par l'émergence du Rift. Nos résultats proposent une origine Congolaise de Synodontis dans l'Oligocène (~30 Ma). Subséquemment, des dispersions en zone Nilo-Soudanaise et Basse Guinée sont enregistrées. La phylogénie de Synodontis soutient l'existence d'un réseau hydrographique qui s'étend de l'Est à l'Ouest de l'Afrique, indépendant du Nil, et qui a fonctionné jusqu’à ~10 Ma. Au Miocène Supérieur, la distribution des espèces de Synodontis en zone Nilo-Soudanaise est plus hétérogène qu' actuellement. Au Plio-Pléistocène, les échanges entre les bassins de la zone Nilo-Soudanaise s'intensifient, entraînant l'homogénéisation de l'ichtyofaune
The Rift Valley has long been considered as an ecological barrier until recent discoveries of Mio-Pliocene fossiliferous outcrops in Central Africa: our paleobiogeographical conceptions have to be reappraised. In this context, identification of effective biogeographical barriers preventing dispersals during the Mio-Pliocene may provide a first order constraint in which evolution in Africa could be drawn. The hydrographical network constitutes one of the major constraints to dispersal. Our work aims at reconstructing the hydrographical network during the Neogene. The widespread african catfish genus Synodontis (Mochokidae, Siluriformes) is used as a proxy: its abundance in the fossil record together with an important modern diversity implies a complex history for the African freshwater. So far, the Synodontis species are recognized on soft characters. Here, I propose a study of the bony anatomy of extant Synodontis species from the Nilo-Soudan province and propose specific osteological characters. Those characters are used in the fossil to recognize specimens at a specific level throughout Mio-Pliocene sites of Africa (Chad, Egypt, Tunisia, and Uganda). A molecular phylogeography of Synodontis species is established. To reconstruct history of the group, we combined molecular and osteological analyses. The evolution of the group is structured around the Central African Shear Zone and influenced by the formation of the Rift. The Synodontis origin is Congolese and roots in the Oligocene (~30 Myr). Rapidly, they disperse in the Nilo-Sudan and Lower Guinean provinces. Our results support an ancient drainage system independent from the Nil, extending from West to East Africa and operating during the Middle Miocene. In the Late Miocene, distribution of the Synodontis species appears much more heterogeneous than the modern one. The intensive Plio-Pleistocene exchanges in the Nilo-Sudan province have greatly contributed to homogenize the ichtyofauna and to give the modern pattern of distribution

Produced by favela-based residents, these videos relocate childhood into the imaginary of the city in an attempt to challenge hegemonic modes of representing favela children. Constructed as the negative Other, male black favela youngsters are usually portrayed by the official media performing activities associated with begging, windshield washing, consuming and selling drugs, stealing or killing. The criminalization of black male youngsters from favelas has been instrumental in shaping and justifying far-reaching politics of exclusion, diverse forms of inequality. Said videos are thus perceived as acts of seeing that become exploratory strategies intrinsically intertwined with the production of alternative forms of identity and geographical representations. Therefore, this chapter serves as study of some of the strategies employed to propose alternative paradigms of childhood.

Abstract:
Previously, the development process of a combined probabilistic fracture mechanics code for nuclear piping system was proposed based on some pre-assigned (by default) crack initiation and crack growth techniques e.g. assumption of preexisting cracks in case of no initiated cracks resulted from either fatigue or stress corrosion crack mechanisms and individual growth of those cracks by fatigue or stress corrosion cracking phenomenon without considering crack coalescence criteria. In one sense this type of approach might produce conservative results. To reduce the undue conservatism, in this version, materials’ sensitive crack initiation and subsequent crack growth of these simulated cracks along with crack coalescence criteria have been given prior importance. The logic behind this revised version of PINTIN-CAM PFM code has been presented and one previously published NUREG benchmark numerical problem has been reinvestigated by the improved features of this code. Based on design condition stress data, a typical PWR RPV outlet nozzle section shows the circumferential and axial through wall crack combined failure probability in the order of about 10−2 and 10−3 respectively. Among individual locations of a RPV ON section, the Inconel part shows relatively highest susceptible failure location followed by SS and LAS locations.

Abstract:
In Chile, despite the great coverage achieved, there are still children and adolescents who leave school without being able to complete 12 years of compulsory education (Casen, 2015); moreover, among the countries that make up the OECD, Chile is in the first places of deschooling (TALIS, 2013). This marginalization from the school system is affecting a significant number of children and hindering areas of integration and social development, which accentuates processes of social exclusion and violation of rights in Chile (Casen, 2015; Mide-UC, 2016; Mineduc, 2017). This is reinforced by pedagogical practices that strengthen these probabilities of failure (Román, 2013). The phenomenon of school reintegration has little evidence in relation to the human and technical component in school reintegration processes, either locally (Mide-UC, 2016; UNESCO-UNICEF-Chilean Association of Municipalities, 2012), or internationally (CEPAL, 2010; Contreras et al, 2014; Sucre, 2016), which implies observing and analyzing pedagogical intervention practices in these contexts, in terms of how these dialogical-reflective relational dynamics between teachers and children and adolescents are developed, from the perspective of pedagogical interactions, an area of growing interest in educational sciences, which looks at more than the action itself, at how and what happens in the interaction. (Colomina et al, 2001) This research from a qualitative, transactional approach, oriented from the perspective of descriptive studies (Hernández,et al, 2010) and enriched with the symbolic interactionism of Blumer (1969), whose contributions indicate that the nature of the teaching-learning processes can only be unraveled through direct examination, seeks to understand pedagogical intervention practices from the perspective of pedagogical interactions which are developed between teachers and their students, within the framework of the specialized protection programs in school reintegration implemented in Chile by the National Service for Minors of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, in vulnerable sectors of the communes of Talca, Region of Maule and La Pintana, Metropolitan Region. The analysis through the theoretical and empirical contributions provided by the scientific evidence on pedagogical interactions, in terms of how they are configured, deployed and how these pedagogical intervention practices are perceived by the actors involved, added to the findings obtained, provides an opportunity to innovate by allowing the observation of school reintegration as a scenario of human relations and to deepen around this professional action as a critical element, constituting the improvement of teaching and effectiveness in school reintegration processes.
