Abstract:
The acoustic characteristics of the planing machines, which are the most widespread and the most noisy metalworking equipment, are considered. The article presents the theoretical models of the process of noise generation of planing, slotting and planing-milling machines. Regularities of sound pressure levels and sound power are obtained for brittle materials (cast iron blanks) mounted on the machine table. The regularities of the vibration velocities of the cutting tool and the workpiece are derived. The system of second-order differential equations is obtained for the version of the cantilever fixing of the planing cutter, using the developed approaches to the calculating vibrations and noise of machine equipment.

Abstract:
The condition of the cutting tool is one of the most important factors as it directly affects the technological and economic efficiencies of the woodworking process. The large variety of raw materials of wood combined with possible impurities and inclusion of solids puts high demands on planing machines. One of the methods to modify their operational properties is to apply antiwear coating on their working surfaces using vacuum deposition methods, such as physical vapor deposition (PVD). The use of such coatings reduces the adhesion of planing products to the surface of industrial planer knives, reduces the friction between the cutting tool and the workpiece, and limits the penetration of heat into the tool, thereby contributing to extending its effective working life. This study examines the impact of PVD-based CrCN/CrN coating on the operational durability and intensity of wear of planer knives operating in production conditions compared to unmodified knives (typically used in the wood processing industry for pine wood planing). For the unmodified and CrCN/CrN-coated planing blades (before and after processing), detailed analyses were carried out. These analyses included determining the rounding radius and profile along the blade (worn edge displacement), calculating surface texture parameters of the rake face of planer knives, and carrying out visual microscopic analysis of its condition. The results of the experiments indicated an increase in durability of up to 142% for the CrCN/CrN-coated tools. It was also found that the use of PVD-based modified industrial planer knives turned out to be more beneficial in each analyzed area of analysis.

Abstract:
Abstract It is known from theory and practice that the workability of wood depends on structural parameters that are closely related to the physical, mechanical and chemical properties of the type of wood itself, and disturbance parameters that refer to the technological and geometric parameters determined by the specific processing regime. That machinability, in addition to the mechanical output sizes, is often expressed by the quality, that is, the roughness of the processed surface. By defining a mathematical model in the process of planing solid wood in which the input sizes are processing parameters: wood density (ρ), feed rate (m/min) and number of cutting spirals (z), and the spilled sizes are praamters of roughness of the treated surface (Ra and Rz), and by applying optimization methods, optimal solutions for the process of planing solid wood on planer machines will be determined, so that the obtained Yoptim model will aim to improve the workability of solid wood, specifically its roughness of the processed surface.

Abstract:
AbstractOne of the basic methods of mechanical rock mining is cutting, which faces increasingly difficult working conditions. Despite the rapid development of machines used in underground and opencast mining as well as in tunnel building, construction industry and road engineering, the problem of insufficient durability of mining tools remains unsolved. In addition to drilling and, to a lesser extent, planing, cutting provides a huge market for tools. Currently, the process of cutting is mainly based on conical picks. The cutterheads of cutting machines are equipped with several dozen, and frequently – more than one hundred conical picks, which, due to their workability and abrasiveness, sometimes work only a few hours. There is a market demand for over two hundred models of conical picks. This is due to the huge variety of shapes and sizes of picks as well as the methods of their mounting in the holder. The article briefly presents various solutions of conical picks, their construction, methods of protection, dimensions and materials used. Next, based on materials produced by ZWM Carbonex, the classic method of their manufacture using the turning technology has been described. The authors have also presented briefly the use of die forging for the large-scale production of picks, applied by Górnicza Fabryka Narzędzi Sp. z o.o.

Abstract:
The article considers an important problem of realization of the principle of historicism in the consideration of the formation of the department of theory and methods of technological training, labor protection and life safety (1957-1997). There are two active and one passive periods of its development. On the basis of archival data - orders on enrollment in positions the analysis of personnel of the management, teachers, employees of department is carried out. At the same time, the issue of material base development from almost all academic disciplines is revealed. The first stage of the department's origin covers the years 1957-1967. Mention of the specialty of labor training dates back to 1957, when the Department of Physics introduced an additional specialization "Work in school workshops." The department provided training in technical mechanics, electrical engineering, radio engineering, basics of mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering with a tractor workshop, woodworking and metals processing technology with a workshop in training workshops, training films, photography, methods of work in school workshops, industrial practice and more. The carpentry workshop was equipped with jointing, planing, turning, drilling and other machines, and mechanical industrial lathes, milling, drilling and planing machines. The curriculum provided for mastering the technological operations of manual and mechanical processing of materials in the school workshops of high school for boys. The girls mastered the profession of civil defense nurse. In 1967, the graduation of specialists in labor training ceased. In 1993, the second stage of the revival of recruitment for the specialty of labor training began. The educational and material base was formed, scientific and pedagogical staff, masters, laboratory assistants were selected, educational and methodical support was created, the specialty "Labor and Applied Creativity" was licensed, and recruitment for the first year was announced. In September 1994, 30 students were enrolled in the first year, according to the licensed volumes. At the beginning of the 1996-1997 academic year, the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy underwent a reorganization. In January 1997, the Department of General Technical Disciplines and Methods of Labor Training was established at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. Students studying in the specialty "Labor training and applied creativity" were transferred to the newly created licensed specialty "Labor training and basics of computer science".

Abstract:
This research aims to analyze the level of satisfaction and loyalty of consumers’of onion crackers and build strategies on the development of onion creackers agroindustry in Bandar Lampung city . This research is a case study. The samples are stakeholders from agroindustry, government officer, employees, and consumers of onion crackers. Technique sampling for consumers is snowballing. The methods of data analysis used are Customer Satisfaction Index analysis(CSI) analysis, SWOT analysis and Quantitive Strategic Planing Matrix analysis (QSPM). The results of this research showed that onion crackers consumers were loyal customers with high levels of satisfaction (CSI = 71.04%) and on the loyalty pyramid consumers were categorized as loyal, because 63.33% of them were committed buyers. For strategies combination IFE value was 2.686 and EFE was 2.645. In the internal and external matrix the position of the business was in quadrant V, meaning that agroindustry were in the growth phase. Based on QSPM analysis, the recommended strategies were to increase the production amount especially in dry season in order to meet consumer demand in rainy season by implementing the provided production machines which were owned by the agroindustry.Key words: consumer, loyalty, onion crackers, statisfaction, strategy.

Abstract:
One of the key issues at early design stage of a high-speed craft is the selection and the performance prediction of the propulsion system because at this stage only few information about the vessel are available. The objective of this work is precisely to provide the designer, in the case of waterjet propelled craft, with a simple and reliable calculation tool, able to predict the waterjet working points in design and off-design conditions, allowing to investigate several propulsive options during the ship design process. In the paper two original dimensionless numerical procedures, one referred to jet units for naval applications and the other more suitable for planing boats, are presented. The first procedure is based on a generalized performance map for mixed flow pumps, derived from the analysis of several waterjet pumps by applying similitude principles of the hydraulic machines. The second approach, validated by some comparisons with current waterjet installations, is based on a complete physical approach, from which a set of non-dimensional waterjet characteristics has been drawn by the authors. The presented application examples show the validity and the degree of accuracy of the proposed methodologies for the performance evaluation of waterjet propulsion systems.
